Central Bucks East will face Downingtown West in a District One 3A semifinal game Tuesday while North Penn and Central Bucks South will do battle in a playback game.

Three SOL teams will be in action on Tuesday in the District One 3A Tournament. All three will be facing familiar opponents. CB East will be travelling to Downingtown West for a semifinal showdown. On Sept. 15, they made the same trip for a non-league contest and fell to the Whippets by a 2-0 score. Goalie Emily Bullard had a big game for the Patriots, turning away 21 shots. Claudia Jaszczak and Romea Riccardo each scored a goal for the Whippets, who led 1-0 at halftime. The winner will take on the winner of the #3 Conestoga/#7 Owen J. Roberts semifinal contest in Saturday’s title game at Methacton.
North Penn and Central Bucks South will face each other in a high stakes playback game with the winner earning a state berth and the loser going home for the season. The SOL Continental Conference rivals squared off twice during the regular season. On Sept. 19, the Knights defeated the Titans 2-0 in an evenly-matched game. Emily Crawford and Jillian Lampitoc each scored goals. In the Oct. 12 rematch, the two teams battled to a 3-3 tie. South led 2-0 after goals by Casey Reilly and Kasey Dietzel, but the Knights, who trailed 2-1 at halftime, reeled off three straight goals, receiving one each from Madison Stotler, Bri O’Donnell and Mikayla Barrow. Barrow scored the go-ahead goal with 1:31 remaining in regulation only to see Ally Fitts tie the score during corner play with time expired. Neither team scored in overtime.
