#2 WISSAHICKON 3, #3 SPRINGFIELD-DELCO 2 (OT)
Cami Lutte scored with an assist from Sam Farno in the first overtime period, propelling the Trojans to the dramatic win that keeps their season alive.
“Cami gained the circle, eliminated two defenders, shifted the goalie and put it in,” Wissahickon coach Lee Ann Marchesi said. “We moved well as a unit today.”
Earlier, Riley Ball turned a pass from Lutte into a goal that put the Trojans on the scoreboard in the opening quarter. Ball’s second goal of the game – this one with an assist from Regan Szczpkowicz – gave the Trojans a 2-0 lead in the second quarter, but the Cougars answered with a goal to make it a 2-1 game at halftime.
The Cougars knotted the score in the third quarter, and neither team scored again until Lutte’s OT game-winner.
With the win, the Trojans remain alive in their quest for a state tournament bid.

Wissahickon coach Lee Ann Marchesi: “I am really proud of how well we played as a team tonight. We worked hard both on and off the ball to stay in this game. We played with intensity the entire time and kept focus on our goal to play together as one unit. Our attack brought incredible energy, and our defense held together in the most critical moments of the game. From the forwards to the cage – including the energy from the sideline, every member of our team was in this game. Overtime was exciting and showed how well the girls understand each other and how to play off of their strengths.”
