Central Bucks East coach Emma Rosenthal: “It’s always tough to come into another team’s Senior Night. Abington was highly energized and had a good amount of fans on their side. We’re coming off a tough conference week, so we were definitely a little bit tired and got off to a slow start today. We had a lot of good movements but couldn’t connect until a collected rebound and a goal from Sydney Lafferty late in the fourth.
—Props: “Emma Penecale, Morgan Harrington, and Emerson McFeely really stood out having great games in the midfield. Brynn Bonargo was tightly defended all game but did a good job working around the defense to make some great plays. I’m proud of the team for getting it done.”
Up next: The Patriots host North Penn at 3:30 pm Tuesday. Abington will host Quakertown at 3:30 pm Tuesday.

Both have really stepped up on the attacking end this season. Sam also filled in as our center back today, showing strong leadership and composure in the backfield. Carly continues to make a statement every game—she is tough to defend, smart with the ball, and relentless in the circle. We are lucky to have both of them back next season.
