SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 3, PENNRIDGE 2 (OT)
The Spartans staged a remarkable comeback, rallying from a 2-0 second-half deficit in the final 10 minutes of regulation to knot the score. They won it when Brigid Roy (Maddie Yoder assist) scored on the rebound of a shot with 5:15 remaining in overtime.
“Pennridge played a really great game,” Springfield assistant coach Anita Stum said. “They are a solid team.”
The visiting Rams took a 1-0 lead into halftime, thanks to a goal by Emily Amsden (Shannon Griffin assist) with 8:42 remaining in the half. They appeared to be in command when they upped their lead to 2-0 after a Macy Price scored with an Amsden assist. The game, however, was far from over.
“After being down two goals, we came back with a breakaway by Ella Marino, and a few corners later in the second half tied the game with a goal from Maddie Yoder and an assist by Kate Wojeck,” Stum said.
Goalie Rebecca Berglund was credited with 10 saves and Erin Roy had four saves as the duo split time in goal. Lauren Corrado was credited with two defensive saves.
Springfield Township (13-4, 9-4 SOL) will travel to Upper Dublin on Tuesday, and Pennridge (8-7-1, 5-5 SOL) will be on the road at North Penn Tuesday.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 5, QUAKERTOWN 0
Jada Mills connected for a hat trick and also had an assist to lead the Hatters to the non-league win. She had an impact on both ends of the field, also contributing a pair of defensive saves.
The visiting Hatters opened up a 3-0 halftime lead, scoring all three goals in the final five minutes of the half. Audrey Leibfried scored with 4:58 remaining, using a Megan Locke assist. Then it was Mills turning a Sorrell Long pass into a goal during corner play. An unassisted goal by Mills gave the Hatters their three-goal advantage.
In the second half, the Hatters added goals by Gracie Ransom (Mills assist) and Mills (Abby Roesing assist).
Hatter goalie Morgan Kirby recorded nine saves in the shutout win. Quakertown’s Kylie Lerch had seven saves.
Hatboro-Horsham (7-10, 5-8 SOL) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh on Tuesday, and Quakertown (1-16, 0-11) will be on the road at Souderton on Tuesday.

UPPER DUBLIN 1, LOWER MERION 0
Jenn McCarry turned a Mikayla DeMichele pass into a goal with 1:09 remaining in the first half. That 1-0 lead held the rest of the way.
The visiting Aces held an 11-3 advantage in penalty corners with nine of those coming in the first half. They also had a 12-6 edge in shots.
Negating that advantage was UD goalie Rhianna Gonzales, who had 12 saves, and the Cardinals’ defense comprised of Grace Brennan, Annabel Coplan, Mikayla DeMichele and Shannon DiFulgo.
“(Our) defense did a great job of holding off an aggressive Lower Merion team, who held numerous opportunities in the circle,” UD coach Heather Boyer said of the Aces who had five corners within the first three minutes of the game. “The backfield maintained great patience and composure and were pivotal in the transition game to help create offensive opportunities.”
Lower Merion goalie Mia Trailes was credited with five saves.
Upper Dublin (4-11-2, 2-9-2 SOL) will host Springfield Township on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 4, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 1
Emma Donnelly connected on a pair of goals and – with her second – reached the 100-point mark for a standout career.
“This is something I know she’s been wanting all season, and as a team, we are so proud of her,” East coach Meghann Spratt said. “Even though we were unsure when she would achieve it, we knew it would happen, and we can’t wait to celebrate officially at our next game.”
It was Donnelly (Kenzie Lever assist) opening up the scoring with a goal just over five minutes into the game. Phia Mannino added a goal in the final minute of the half to send the Patriots into the intermission with a 2-0 lead.
Mannino found the cage with her second goal 13 minutes into the second half, and Donnelly closed out the scoring with a goal that vaulted her to the century plateau for career points. Carroll scored a late goal after the outcome had been decided.
“We played very flat,” Spratt said. “Our pace seemed off. I don’t know if it was knowing the wrap-up of the season was here and they were looking ahead, but we did not play our typical East field hockey game even though the score may reflect differently. I just expected more of them. Again, Archbishop Carroll is not someone you take lightly. Defensively, they were very disciplined and very strong, but I just felt we could have done so much more and overall we were flat.”
Central Bucks East closed out its regular season with a 15-3 record overall and an 11-1 record in SOL play. The Patriots – the fifth seed in the latest District One 3A power rankings – will have an opening round bye and will begin district play next Wednesday.

ABINGTON 3, LOWER MORELAND 1
Sparked by a pair of Paige Doyle goals, the Ghosts – 23rd in the latest District One 3A power rankings – notched an important non-league win, rallying from an early 1-0 deficit to score three unanswered goals.
“We came out in a must win situation,” coach Katie Small said. “We knew Lower Moreland would be tough especially with it being Senior Night for them. Lower Moreland came out and scored first with an amazing reverse stick shot by Taryn Mayer.
“We made some defensive adjustments after that shot and were able to shut down their offense the rest of the game.”
Doyle – who finished with two goals and one assist – scored the equalizer for the Ghosts.
“Paige Doyle had a great game,” Small said. “She has really stepped up the past couple of games and found the back of the net. She is playing great hockey right now.”
Grace Kirwin also scored a goal for the Ghosts.
Small acknowledged the strong play of several players in the win.
“Mikayla Kizel did a great job on defense and with defensive corners, shutting down a strong player like Mayer,” the Ghosts’ coach said. “It was probably one of her best defensive games to date.
“We also saw consistent play from Grace Kirwin and Aly Campbell – who helped keep the ball in our offensive end for a majority of the game. This was a total team win and so happy to be ending the season on an upswing.”
Marilyn Capps recorded two saves in goal for the Ghosts.
Abington (6-10-1, 5-7-1 SOL) will travel to Cheltenham to close out its conference season on Tuesday.
BENSALEM 1, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 0
The Owls celebrated Senior Night with a shutout win over the Vikings. Angie Lee scored the game-winner.
Bensalem (5-12, 2-10 SOL) will travel to the Academy of the New Church for a non-league game Wednesday.
