Non-league
HATBORO-HORSHAM 39, HARRY S TRUMAN 36
Kitty Randa scored nine points in the first quarter. It turned out to be a preview of things to come for the Hatters’ senior. By the time the night was over, Randa had a game-high 25 points, which included a 7-for-11 effort at the foul line.
Led by the glittering offensive effort of Randa, the Hatters earned the non-league win.
“It was not pretty, but we were able to get the win,” Hatters’ assistant coach Nicole Miletto said. “Truman played tough the whole game.
“We were up double digits, but they fought back. Kitty led us in scoring and had a real nice game. We were down two starters, but the girls were able to hang on and handle the end of the game pressure.”
The Hatters, who led 12-4 after one quarter, took a 23-13 lead into halftime. Randa accounted for 14 of her team’s points.
The Tigers made it a 31-24 game heading into the fourth quarter when they outscored their visitors 12-8 but never could dig themselves out of their early hole.
In addition to Randa, freshman Angelica Visceglia scored 11 points for the Hatters.
For the Tigers, Shylah McCleve led the way with 11 points while Erynn Bond had nine, eight in the first half. Yamazjiah Thomas added eight points – all in the second half.
Hatboro-Horsham (4-4, 2-3 SOL) will host New Hope-Solebury on Friday, and Harry S Truman (1-8, 0-5) will travel to Pennridge on Thursday.

Behind seven points from Price, the Lady Panthers opened up a 16-4 lead after one quarter and extended that to 30-16 by halftime after a second quarter that saw Simmons score 17 points. Included in those points were two 3-pointers and a 3-for-3 effort at the foul line.
