Check out the recaps for SOL girls’ basketball teams in action Tuesday.

Ridley Holiday Classic
PENNSBURY 47, UNIONVILLE 35
Unionville connected on the first basket of the game. It was the Indians’ first and only lead.
“We compared them to ourselves as an aggressive defensive team, but our girls handled the pressure very well,” assistant coach Kaitlyn Kelly said.
Sparked by a pair of Nevaeh Dash 3s, the Falcons led 15-12 after one quarter and took a 21-16 lead into halftime. Sofia Vitucci led the Falcons with nine points in the half.
The Falcons put some distance between themselves and the Indians with a 15-7 third quarter to take a 36-23 lead into the final quarter. Vitucci led the way with seven points in the quarter, and Dnaiella MacDonald had six on a pair of 3-pointers.
Vitucci led the Falcons with 19 points, which included three 3-pointers.
“Sofia was Sofia, handling the ball well and creating shots for herself and her teammates,” Kelly said.
MacDonald added nine points on three 3s, and Dash contributed seven points. Layla Matthias led the Falcons under the backboards with eight rebounds and also had a team-high five steals.
“Layla was a menace on defense and on the boards, both offensive and defensive,” Kelly said. “She does what she does, and she does it extremely well.
“What’s really awesome about this team is that everyone contributes in some way, shape or form. In all the games except one, we have played all 12 varsity players, and we did it again tonight.”
There were other contributors.
“Neve Davis did a nice job off the bench, making all four of her free throws late in the game and pulling down a big rebound,” Kelly said. “Nevaeh Dash was fantastic on defense and had two 3s.
“We’re excited to play in the championship game of the Ridley Holiday Classic.”
