Check out the results for SOL girls’ basketball teams in action Tuesday.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 43, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 39 (OT)
The Golden Hawks displayed a flair for the dramatic, rallying from eight points down midway through the fourth quarter to knot the score and send the game into overtime. They outscored their hosts 6-2 in OT.
“We just (forced) some turnovers, made some shots and played really good defense,” coach Jason Rapp said. “The one thing I’ve said about these girls – they play so hard. They don’t quit. It’s amazing. It was a great effort.”
Payton Spadaccino led the Hawks with 15 points while Caroline McGovern had 10. Both delivered big shots in their team’s comeback. Faith Turner added six points.
For the Colonials, Taylor O’Brien led the way with 12 points. Ali Diamond and Lauren Suchsland both had eight, and Lauren Coscia had seven.
The Colonials led 10-8 after one quarter and went into halftime with a 24-17 lead. The Golden Hawks made it a three-point game after three quarters but then fell behind by eight before staging a heroic comeback.
“I told them at halftime I was not very happy because there was something that was (missing),” Rapp said. “Our girls are pretty enthusiastic, energetic girls – not just in basketball but in everything they do.
“Tonight when we started – even in the locker room, something was just not there. It’s not good when it takes 16 minutes to do it, but I guess it’s better to do it after 16 than to not do it at all. They did it, and I was extremely proud of them. They play hard, they really play hard.”
Council Rock South (2-1) will travel to Truman on Friday for its SOL opener. Plymouth Whitemarsh (0-1) will host Upper Moreland.

“She sat the whole second quarter in foul trouble,” Nolan said.
Mia Leonard – in her first varsity game – had a team-high 15 rebounds to go along with six points and four blocked shots.
“She’s almost six feet, and she has come so far since ninth grade and now is playing varsity for the first time as a junior,” Nolan said.
The visiting Lady Panthers had a tenuous 10-9 lead after one quarter but outscored their hosts 16-6 in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 26-15 lead. They maintained that lead during a high-scoring second half.
“There were a lot of fouls on both sides,” Nolan said. “They were a better team than I expected. They had some really nice players.
“They threw some things at us defensively that first game of the year maybe we weren’t quite ready for, so we had to do a lot of things on the fly. For the most part, we responded well. A lot of inexperience out there, playing varsity for the first time, so there was some panic, but that’s to be expected. For a first game, it was not too bad.”

They limited the Whippets to just five points in the second half.
“We really, really did play very good defense,” coach Maggie deMarteleire said. “That was something coming out of this weekend that we knew we had to improve.
“Defense is something you can control. We didn’t think everyone was on the same page. We spent a lot of time on it yesterday, and we’re going to spend a lot of time on it this next week. It was definitely a huge improvement from the weekend.”

UPPER DUBLIN 56, BAYARD RUSTIN 28
After a pair of tough losses, the Flying Cardinals got in the win column on Tuesday night. Josie Barrett led the Cards with 13 points and three steals. Allison Chernow added 12 points, six assists, three rebounds and three steals.
"It felt great to get the first win of the season," coach Morgan Funsten said. "We played a solid second quarter and we started shooting the ball the way we know we are capable of. Allison Chernow looked really good as she has in all three games so far. She has become an absolute complete player. I'm also excited about the balance we showed last night with the rest of the starting five and the bench.
"The start of the season hasn't been the best for our team with those two early losses. One positive I will take out of this past week is that I thought we were really good defensively the first two games. Our defense was what kept us in both games and gave us a chance to win. We are still finding our identity on the offensive end, and we just need to keep working on it. I am very confident that this early season adversity will make us a better team as the season goes on. It is not familiar territory for us, but it helps us see specifically where we need to improve."
Upper Dublin (1-2) will travel to Norristown for its SOL opener on Friday.
UPPER MORELAND 51, SACRED HEART 48
