Check out the recaps for SOL girls’ basketball teams in action Saturday.

Non-league
NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 56, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 43
The visiting Lions notched a non-league road win, but the real celebration came with 12 seconds remaining in regulation when Izzy Elizondo buried the first of two foul shots, a basket that vaulted the New Hope-Solebury senior to the 1,000-point mark.
“The best part of the game came when Izzy Elizondo scored her 1,000th point from the free-throw line,” NH-S coach Andy Krasna said. “Izzy ended the game with 21 points, and she had to earn every one of them.
“She battled but never got rattled as CB West ran multiple defenders at her at every touch of the ball. It was fun to see Izzy get to this milestone and celebrate with her teammates.”
Elizondo entered the game needing 20 points.
Key stretch: Sparked by 13 points from freshman Mary Tresler, the Lions opened up a 26-23 halftime lead.
Key players: The day belonged to Izzy Elizondo, who scored 21 points and surpassed the 1,000-point mark. Mary Tresler had a team-high 22 points.
Emily Ladley led the Bucks with 17 points, including four 3-pointers.
New Hope-Solebury coach Andy Krasna: “Central Bucks West was well prepared for us, and before we knew it, we were down 7-0 in the first quarter. It was difficult to contain Emily Ladley who has emerged as one of the best 3-point shooters in the SOL. Her improvement has been impressive and the work she has put in over the last few years is yielding big dividends for CB West. Coach Sibel did a great job finding ways to get her good looks at the basket despite our focus on chasing her off the 3-point line.”
–Props: “Freshman Mary Tresler was our offensive spark and ended the game with 22 points and another double-double. She was taking everything the defense was giving her on offense. She was crashing the boards and would not be denied the ball. Her defense on CB West’s perimeter guards was outstanding, and she is usually asked to guard post players. Seniors Emily Wilson and Ella Dudick came through with timely baskets and helped us to break West’s full court pressure. We were without Kayla Fennell again, but freshman Danielle Wilson got the job done for her team and helped us in so many ways.”
–Tip of the hat: “The final score of our game this afternoon was not indicative of the battle that took place for three-plus quarters. Coach Sibel has done a tremendous job at CB West since taking over the program. I watched him play high school basketball alongside his twin brother, and it is no surprise to me that both men are high achieving coaches in their respective sports. Brother John coaches football (tight ends) at Princeton University. I am just happy that we don’t have to face this West team for a second time.”
Up next: New Hope-Solebury (12-8, 6-3 SOL) will travel to William Tennent on Tuesday, Central Bucks West (7-14, 2-7) will be on the road at Pennridge Tuesday.
