CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 52, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 19
Izzy Treon wouldn’t mind a bit if the Bucks never had to set up in their half court offense. The West senior likes to run the floor, and Treon did plenty of that in Friday’s conference finale as she scored a game-high 21 points.
“West’s game in the past has always been transition, run the ball, and we did kind of get away from that at the beginning of the season,” Treon said. “Coach Terry (Rakowsky) has been getting on us a little more in practice to run up the floor, make space.
“I love to run the floor. I would do it constantly. If we have the opportunity, for the rest of the season, I would just love to run transition and never run a play again. I definitely can’t complain that it’s my last home game. It was a fun game to play in.”
Behind seven points from Treon, the Bucks opened up an 18-6 halftime lead. Treon ignited a 6-0 run in a span of less than a minute early in the second half. It began with Treon coming up with a steal on the press and turning it into a layup. Moments later, she came up with another steal, this time finding Emily Spratt for the layup. A Spratt steal set up an easy bucket for Olivia Irons, and the Bucks led 24-6.
“I thought Izzy made great decisions,” coach Terry Rakowsky said. “She was in control – driving, hitting shots, making passes. She plays great defense – she gets on the floor for us. She’s been one of our best players this year.”
A key to the game was the Bucks’ defense, which limited the Titans' dangerous senior point guard, Alexa Brodie, to just four points.
“All week in practice that was our main focus,” Treon said. “We knew coming into it Allie Burke wasn’t going to be there, and we said we have to take (Brodie) out of the game if we possibly can.
“Our plan was double her – make her pass the ball, get it out of her hands and then deny it back and just see what the other girls can do.”
The Bucks, who were without Tori Abelson (injury), led 33-12 after three quarters, and they added to that lead in the fourth quarter.
“It seems like playing against South we pick it up a little bit,” Rakowsky said. “That definitely was part of it, just that energy.”
The Bucks’ coach credited Paige Gilbert for setting the tone.
“One of the things we’ve been lacking this year is that energy,” Rakowsky said. “Paige definitely gave us a lot of energy.”
Taylor Hinkle's nine points led the Titans.
Central Bucks West (14-8, 9-3 SOL) is 13th in the last District One 6A rankings, and Central Bucks South (12-10, 7-5) is 18th.

WISSAHICKON 59, CHESTER 40
The Trojans took control of Friday’s non-league season finale early, opening up a 13-8 lead after one quarter and stretching that to 33-15 by halftime. They never looked back.
“We came out and moved the ball well,” coach Rodney Cline said. “We made some shots.”
After being sidelined for two games with an injury, Anna Schools returned to the lineup and scored a team-high 13 points.
“We had seven girls hurt the other day in our game against Upper Dublin,” Cline said. “Having Schools back makes a difference because she’s a scorer, and she makes it easier for everyone else.”
Kelly Dickson added 11 points, and Lily Hyatt had 10.
“Kelly Dickson played her best game ever as a senior,” Cline said. “She finally had some confidence in herself and left it all out there. She was rebounding, she was hitting shots. She’s that versatility player who always sets great screens, sets everyone else up and never rewarded herself, and tonight she did. We were really happy for her and proud of her.”
Leah Dubin and Lauren Fadel each added seven points for the Trojans.
Wissahickon (8-14, 4-10 SOL) was 17th in the District One 5A power rankings after Friday’s game. Sixteen teams will earn berths.
“Now we’re waiting to see if we’re in the playoffs,” Cline said. “We were in last night and then we lost. We’re right there. We have to wait and see after all the calculations are done at the meeting Sunday.”

The Patriots – behind five points from Caroline Pla – opened up a 12-5 lead after one quarter and took a 22-14 lead into halftime. They blew the game wide open with a 22-point third quarter that featured contributions from seven different players. Skylar Krause and Pla each had five points.
Krause led a balanced East attack with 13 points while Pla had 12. Mia Salvati added 11 points. All three had two three-pointers on a day that saw the Patriots connect on eight shots from behind the arc. Pla also had four assists while Krause had six rebounds. Gabby Wilga chipped with seven points.
Emily Chmiel led the Patriots under the backboards with 10 rebounds – five offensive and five defensive. She also had five points.
Chloe Munyon’s 15-point effort, which included three three-pointers, led the Owls. Haley Keenan added nine points.
The Owls were just 7-of-16 at the foul line while the Patriots connected on 8-of-12.

The Rams opened up a 14-6 lead after one quarter and extended that to 29-13 by halftime on their way to the non-league win in their regular season finale.
Evelyn Loughery led three Rams in double figures with 14 points. Julia Kreider and Emilee Cramer each scored 11 points.
The Rams connected on 12-of-20 at the foul line.
Pennridge (9-12, 2-10 SOL) is 23rd in the latest District One 6A power rankings.
