Non-league
PENNSBURY 65, AUDENREID CHARTER 57
Audenreid was a late addition to the Falcons’ schedule, and in a contest that saw both teams bury nine 3-pointers, the Falcons won the game at the foul line where they connected on 20 of 28 shots while Audenreid made just 4-of-9 free throws.
“We found out this weekend that we would not be able to play Haverford due to their responsibilities with the Central League playoffs, and we have always had a good relationship with Kevin Slaughter and Audenreid,” Pennsbury coach Frank Sciolla said. “They will go anywhere and play anyone. They’ve already played at O’Hara, Imhotep and Bethlehem Catholic
“The game had a weird start time and a weird vibe, but it was highly entertaining. They shot the ball really well, including some deep and contested threes. It’s the most points we’ve given up this season and you have to credit them.”
Ava Sciolla and Nicole Pompili each connected on four shots from beyond the arc, and the duo combined for nine points in a first quarter that saw the Falcons open up a 15-10 lead. Pennsbury took a 31-28 lead into halftime. Sciolla – who had four 3-pointers – led the Falcons with 12 points.
The Falcons took a 44-41 lead into the fourth quarter when they converted 11-of-16 at the charity stripe. Pompili buried 4-of-6 and also had a pair of 3s for 10 points in the quarter. Sciolla was 3-for-4 at the foul line. Sofia Vitucci had four points, which included a 2-for-2 effort at the line.
Sciolla’s 21 points led the Falcons and included a 7-for-8 showing at the foul line. She also had eight rebounds, five steals and four assists. Pompili added 16 points, four assists and four steals. Vitucci and Nevaeh Dash both added nine points and three assists.
“Nicole Pompili picked up where she left off (Tuesday) night and knocked down shots, and Ava was strong against pressure and icing the game at the line,” Sciolla said. “We assisted on 14 of 17 field goals, and while they were very athletic in their zone, we are establishing a clear comfort level against it and continuing to get really good shots.
“No rest for the weary as our third game in a row will be with CR North Thursday on senior night.
Pennsbury (19-2, 13-2 SOL) will host Council Rock North on Thursday in its regular season finale.

UPPER MORELAND 56, COLLEGIUM CHARTER 44
EmmyFaith Wood scored 21 points and Holly Gohl added 18 to lead the Golden Bears to the non-league win on Wednesday.
The Bears – behind seven points from Wood – led 11-4 after one quarter and took a 26-16 lead into halftime.
“The first half looked like two tired basketball teams who couldn’t get in any type of flow,” UM coach Matt Carroll said. “There were a lot of easy baskets that we missed early that could’ve given us more of a cushion at halftime.
“Those easy misses along with some turnovers as well as offensive rebounds by them let them hang around for most of the game. Number 3 (Dejah Morris) and number 1 (Serenity Burgess) made some big plays offensively that kept them in it, but eventually we were able to put the game away.”
The Golden Bears took a 41-31 lead into the final quarter and sealed the win at the foul line. Kiera Coyle, who finished with seven points, buried 4-of-5 foul shots in the fourth quarter.
“EmmyFaith and Holly stepped up for us in the fourth, and Kiera had hit big free throws to extend our lead,” Carroll said. “We still have some holes, but hopefully, we get a first round bye and can tighten some things up.
“We have played eight games and had two practices since Jan. 28, so we’ve been trying to fix some of our mistakes on the fly. We go to New Hope tomorrow to finish the year which is always a big game.”
Upper Moreland (16-5, 12-3 SOL) will travel to New Hope-Solebury on Thursday.
