#1-7 DOWNINGTOWN EAST 10, #1-10 CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 9
The Bucks opened their season on March 23 with a 9-1 win over Downingtown East. That same Cougar squad brought a heartbreaking end to the Bucks’ season in Thursday night’s second round game.
“This is a tough way to end the season, but I could not be prouder of this group of girls,” coach Rebecca Cartee Haring said. “It has been an amazing season.
“What these girls have accomplished will be a benchmark for every team I coach in the future. As a first-year coach, I feel blessed that this was my team and that I had two amazing assists, Teresa Roy and Kelli Romano. This team is a real family, and my assistants helped make that possible.”
The Bucks found themselves on the short end of an 8-4 score at halftime, but true to form, they battled back but fell just short.
“This season every one of our losses was only by one goal, and we never let an opposing team score more than 11,” Cartee Haring said. “We held Downingtown East to two goals in the second half, and the girls never quit.”
Casey Reichwein led the Bucks with 10 draw controls and five goals. Emma Haring had two draw controls, two goals and two assists. Maddy McGarry added one goal and three assists while Lindsey Horton had one draw control and three assists. Paige Gilbert added a goal.
Lauren Ring recorded nine saves in goal for the Bucks

#1-3 CONESTOGA 18, #1-14 UPPER DUBLIN 7
The Flying Cardinals knew they’d have their hands full when they took on a perennial powerhouse Conestoga squad. Conestoga turned out to be every bit as good as advertised, jumping out to a 12-1 halftime lead. The Cardinals played the Pioneers even the rest of the way, but they never could cut into their lead.
“Basically, we dug ourselves a hole in the first half and could not recover,” coach Dee Cross said. “Conestoga was fast and athletic all over the field.
“Once we settled down on offense, we were able to string some goals together.”
Julia Reardon’s four-goal effort led the Cardinals, who received a goal and an assist from both Jackie Rama and Mack Moore. Jenn McCarry added a goal while Becky Browndorf and Meg DiMartile both had an assist.
“Julia Reardon had success today going to goal,” Cross said. “Conestoga was able to pressure all over the field, and it took us a while to adjust.
“Becky Browndorf was all over the field trying to get us going, and she played her heart out. We will miss our seniors – Becky Browndorf, Michelle Wright, Aidan Hopkins, Sascha Keitz, Caroline Kohlbrenner and Maggie Brown.”

#1-2 GARNET VALLEY 17, #1-18 NORTH PENN 6
The Jaguars looked every bit the part of the tournament’s second seed, opening up an 11-4 halftime lead on their way to the win.
“We lost to a very good Garnet Valley team,” coach Heather Mellow said. “We knew going into this game that odds were stacked against us, but this team never gave up.
“Pretty symbolic for how our entire season has gone – always a hard fight. We will miss our seniors, but have a strong core of underclassmen returning next year.”
Alli Lindsay led the Knights with three goals and seven draw controls. Lily Szilagyi added two goals while Casey Cavanaugh had one. Grace Sacchetti had two assists and three draw controls while Kristin Varilla had one assist.
