The visiting Golden Bears took an early lead only to watch Vikings battle back to knot the score, sending the game to overtime where they scored the game-winner 40 seconds into OT.

Annalise Messina turned in a glittering seven-goal, one-assist effort to keep UM in the game.
“Annalise Messina had a fantastic game with seven goals, one assist, seven draw controls, and five forced turnovers,” Frantz said. “Addi Hurley truly kept us in the game with 15 saves often at key times.
“Reagan (Cummins) and Willow (Taylor) did a fantastic job controlling the midfield. Our defense is talking and playing well after a recent injury of a key defender. They are filling in and coming together as a unit. Attack is starting to work together as a unit and had some great transitions to goal. We are looking forward to our first league game on Thursday against Springfield.”
