Check out the recaps for SOL girls’ lacrosse teams in action.

Non-league
Wissahickon 15, Council Rock South 7
Sophia Stehlik was all over the field on Thursday.
Her 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) helped spark Wissahickon in its 15-7 victory over Council Rock South in Thursday’s non-league game, but the sophomore contributed far more than just 3 points to the victory.
Stehlik also racked up 6 draws controlled, 2 caused turnovers, 4 ground balls, and 1 interception as the Trojans remained undefeated at 3-0 on the young season.
“I was really happy with the performance of Sophia Stehlik today,” said Wissahickon coach Chuck Wurzbach “She used her lacrosse IQ to find soft spots in the Council Rock South zone and was aggressive defensively. She was a force all day and the team fed off her energy.”
Alexa McCabe powered the Trojans’ attack with 7 goals and 1 assist. Sam Farno scored 3, Lila Marciniak had 2 goals and 3 assists, and Maddie “Po” Radell chipped in with 1 goal and 2 assists.
Tatum Rurhen made 6 saves to record the win in goal for Wissahickon, which saw the Golden Hawks score 3 straight goals to end the third quarter, but regrouped and padded their lead in the fourth to earn the win.
“We received our fourth yellow card and played a player down with about 5 minutes left in the third quarter through the remainder of the game,” Wurzbach said. “South got 3 straight to end the third. In between periods, we talked as a team about being smart with the ball in the fourth quarter and closing the game out. We were able to maintain the ball for the last 7 minutes of the game when we were a player down, which isn’t an easy thing to do.
“Tatum Rurhen came up with some big saves today, especially in the third and fourth quarters. It is great to see her continuing to improve each time she steps on the field.”
Cam Brundege (3 G, 1 A) and Liz Heam (2 G, 2 A) each had 4-point games for South. Mia Schink and Ella Mayberry each added 1 goal and 1 assist.
The Trojans return to action Friday visiting Methacton for a 5 pm game. Council Rock South (2-2) will host Pennridge for its SOL opener on Wednesday.

Upper Dublin 12, Boyertown 8
The result was special for Upper Dublin. The meaning behind the game was even more so.
The Cardinals jumped out to a quick lead, then held off a second-half rally attempt to down Boyertown 12-8 in Thursday’s nonleague game that brought awareness to Morgan’s Message: Taking A Shot At Mental Health.
Arranged by Cardinals’ senior Taylor Williams, the organization is named in memory of Morgan Rodgers, a lacrosse player at Duke who took her own life in 2019 at the age of 22. The goal of the organization is to provide a community amplifying stories, resources and expertise to confront student-athlete mental health. Boyertown joined the Cardinals in a pregame presentation and purchased T-shirts.
Once the game started, Bridget DiMartile (4 G, 1 A) and Paige Dinkel (4 G) provided their usual unstoppable efforts. Anna DiMartile chipped in with 2 goals, 1 assist, 5 draw controls, and 2 caused turnovers. Mads McManus added 2 goals, while Erin Darcy made 6 saves to earn the victory in the cage for the Cardinals (3-0 overall).
“They pressured us all over the field and it took a while for us to adjust,” said Upper Dublin coach Dee Cross. “I am proud of the girls today for sticking together and figuring out every ride or defense that they threw at us. We built a lead and Boyertown made a run. We were able to score when we needed to and held on for the win.”
Upper Dublin (3-0) will visit Haverford High at noon on Saturday.

Pennridge 16, Upper Moreland 9
The Rams notched their first win of the young season.
And while the Golden Bears came out on the short end, there were plenty of positives to be seen.
“Today was a good learning day for us,” said Upper Moreland coach Kim Frantz “We hung in there most of the game, until close to the end. We are young in some areas, and this is part of the learning curve.
“Pennridge came to play tonight. This game made us better and a lot of growth happened in this game, so for that it was a good game. We are seeing some of our newer players really develop, which is exciting to see. We just need to mesh as a team, and that will come with each game we play.”
