Check out the recaps for SOL girls’ lacrosse teams in action Friday.

Non-league
PENNRIDGE 14, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 13
It had been three years since the Rams faced the Vikings in what had become the annual season opener for both teams. Perk Valley was the winner in the three meetings prior to the cancellation of the 2020 season due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
The Rams – sparked by the four-goal, one-assist effort of Maddy Eddinger – brought an end to that trend by notching a win that was anything but easy. Although it certainly looked like the Rams might be in for a cakewalk when they opened up a 10-4 halftime lead.
Then came a second half that saw the Rams allow the Vikings to get back in the game, but they would not be denied, holding on for the hard fought win.
“It was an all-out team effort,” Pennridge coach Karen Feher said. “We received outstanding defensive games from Lauren Moylan, Lauren Rush, Nikki Machado, Brynn Wegner and Lily Reilly.
“Ava Fantaskey, Grace Rosica and Maddy Edinger dominated the draw with four draw controls each. There was some absolutely beautiful lacrosse played tonight.”
Also for the Rams, Kendall Posey had a big night, contributing two goals and four assists. Grace Rosica and Sophie Craig both had two goals and one assist while Leah Verespy added a pair of goals. Kate Unzicker and Taylor Burkett both had one goal.
