Check out the recaps for SOL girls’ lacrosse teams in action Thursday.

Non-league
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 11, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 7
The Indians capped a stretch of five games in seven days by notching their fourth win of the young season. They took early control of the game, opening up a 10-2 halftime lead and never looking back.
“The girls played well as a team today,” Rock North coach Denise Noseworthy said.
The Indians’ coach credited the strong play of goalie Rylee Roe-Lipsky, who had nine saves.
Maddy Mela’s four-goal effort led the Indians’ attack. Charlotte Ondria and Liza McBride each added a pair of goals. Adding one goal each were Ali Carpentier, Morgan McCaffery and Julie Ondria.
McCaffrey’s six draw controls led the Indians. Mela and McCaffery both had four ground balls while Liz McBride and Bella Carpentier both had three ground balls.
For the Patriots, Paige Keller led the way with a hat trick. Ava Delfini had two goals while Courtney Curry and Ericka Zimmer each had one goal. Kelly and Curry as well as Sammy Kishel each had two draw controls, and all three had three ground balls. Rylee Surovec also had three ground balls. Delfini, Olivia Samkavitz, Aidenn O’Leary and Sierra Buesing each had one ground ball.
“Our team grew so much this game,” East coach Maggie Stella said. “Our defense was working on recognizing the second slides, and they did it beautifully. Rylee Surovec, Aidenn O’Leary, Sierra Buesing, Olivia Samkavitz, and Courtney Curry all had great games defensively. Sierra and Aidenn both took shots to the body yet continued to play their game and fight.
“Our midfield did a great job of being smart on transitions, channeling attackers, and moving the ball smart offensively. Paige Keller has been doing phenomenal on transitions, and Sammy Kishel joined her today. Our attack was able to make smart moves off fast breaks. Ava Delfini, Ericka Zimmer, and Morgan Tait shined on the offensive end.”
East goalie Grace Gidwani – a field hockey goalie who has committed to continue her career at Lock Haven – was credited with 11 saves.
“Our brand-new goalie, Grace Gidwani, really stepped it up this game with 11 saves,” Stella said. “I wish we could have pulled through and won but being 10-2 at half it was hard to come up out of that whole.
“I am most proud of the fact that we played our game, despite that physical play we faced. CR North ended up playing a player down the last seven minutes, due to getting four yellow cards.”
Council Rock North (4-1) will travel to Central Bucks South on Monday for its SOL opener. Central Bucks East (0-4) will be on the road at Souderton for its league opener on Tuesday.
