WISSAHICKON 10, PENNRIDGE 9 (OT)
The Trojans found themselves in a heated battle with visiting Pennridge and trailed 6-4 at halftime. Late in the game, they were still down 8-6 but rallied to tie the game at eight only to see Pennridge score again and go up 9-8. Sophia Chiodo Ortiz tied the game at 9-9 to send the game into overtime.
In the overtime, Lexi Hobson caused a key turnover that sparked the Trojans. With 21.3 seconds left in the overtime, Chiodo Ortiz rifled a rocket past the Pennridge goalie – who had 18 saves – and won the thriller for the Trojans.
The Trojans were led by Chiodo Ortiz with four goals. Quinn Gaffey had two goals and one assist. Sam Intrieri also added two goals and an assist. Kelly Dickson added one goal and two assists and Abby Degroat added a goal.
The Trojans’ defense played lights out in the second half, allowing only three goals. The defense again was led by Lauren Donofrio, Lexi Hobson, Haley Reed, Naomi Bram and Madeleine Murphy in goal.
For the Rams, it was their second straight loss in overtime, falling in both games by identical 10-9 scores.
Wissahickon (3-0) will be on the road at Central Bucks South on Wednesday, and Pennridge (0-4) will travel to Coatesville for a non-league game Friday.

Springfield Township 15, Council Rock North 11
Springfield Township improved to 2-0 on the young season with a non-league win over visiting Council Rock North on Monday.
The Spartans, who led 11-6 at halftime, received a game-high six goals from Maddie Yoder and four goals from Ella Marino.
Yoder also forced one turnover, had one ground ball and two draw controls. Marino had two assists, seven draw controls and one caused turnover.
Emily Smith added two goals, two assists, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the win and Lauren Corrado had a pair of goals and an assist. Emily Walsh had a goal, two draw controls and a ground ball while Sophia Perry had three assists and one ground ball.
The Spartans also received contributions fromMolly McGoldrick (two ground balls, one caused turnover), Ellie Lynch (one ground ball), Gracie Woron (one ground ball), Julie Kelly (two ground balls, one caused turnover), Jaden Callands (one ground ball), Charlotte DeKerllis (one caused turnover) and Annie Ryan (four saves in goal).
Springfield Township will host Germantown Friends Tuesday in a non-league contest, and Council Rock North (0-4) – off this week for a senior trip – will travel to Central Bucks East on Monday.

Souderton 16, Pope John Paul II 10
Riley McGowan led the scoring outburst with seven goals in Souderton’s non-league romp over host Pope John Paul II on Monday. The Indians, who took a tenuous 7-6 lead into halftime, outscored the Vikings 9-4 in the second half.
In addition to the seven goals from McGowan, who also had an assist, the Indians received two goals and two assists from Randi Hess and a pair of goals from Lauren Kenah.
“The team worked hard, maintained their composure and supported one another all over the field,” Souderton coach Nancy Offner said.“Offensively, we had contributions from eight players, obviously with Riley being a strong leader in attacking the cage.”
Clark Trowbridge and Lauren Hallman each contributed a goal and an assist while Caroline Kelly, Kylie Norbeck and Sophia Sclafani had single tallies.
Goalie Lauren Scott made 10 saves to notch the victory in net.
“Our defensive unit is working well together and continues to get stronger with each game,” Offner said. “And Lauren Scott continues to be the anchor for this team with another excellent showing in the cage. One of the best parts of this team is that the whole game is truly a full team effort.”
Souderton (2-2) will host Pennsbury on Thursday in a non-league contest.

Pope John Paul II 6 4 – 10
Central Bucks South 15, Hatboro-Horsham 13
Undefeated Central Bucks South played a wild one with visiting Hatboro-Horsham that saw the Titans notch a 15-13 non-league victory Monday.
Anna Green and Francine Richick provided plenty of offense for the Titans as they combined for 12 goals, five assists and 13 draw controls.
Green netted a game-high seven goals while Richick added five. Green also had a pair of assists and eight draw controls while Richick had three assists and five draw controls.
Bridget Curtis contributed a goal, two assists and two draw controls in the win while teammate Janessa Watson had a goal and an assist. Tegan Mullan also had a goal in the win and Erin Mayeros had a pair of assists and Kate Victor had one assist.
Katelyn Wendling had eight saves in net for the Titans.
Gabby Liott paced the Hatters with four goals and an assist while Audrey Leibfreid, Camryn Ryan and Abby Rosen each had three goals and an assist in the loss. Sophia Liott added and assist.
Central Bucks South (3-0, 1-0 SOL) will host Wissahickon Wednesday in a non-league game, and Hatboro-Horsham (1-2, 0-1) will travel to Pennsbury on Wednesday for a non-league contest.

Downingtown West 16, Upper Dublin 8
Jackie Rama, Becky Browndorf and Mack Moore combined for seven goals, but it wasn’t enough as Upper Dublin fell to visiting Downingtown West in a non-league game Monday.
Rama led the way with three goals while Browndorf and Moore each had a pair of goals and one assist. Jenn McCarry had a single tally for the Cardinals while goalie Riley Brady had six saves.
Upper Dublin (1-3, 1-0 SOL) will travel to Gwynedd Mercy Tuesday for a non-league game.
Downingtown West 12 4 – 16
Upper Dublin 4 4 – 8
Perkiomen Valley 12, North Penn 7
North Penn fell behind early and couldn’t recover in a non-league loss to visiting Perkiomen Valley on Monday.
The Maidens, who trailed 6-2 at halftime, received a hat trick and an assist from Lily Szilagyi and a pair of goals from Brooke Millevoi.
Grace Sacchetti had a goal and an assist in the loss while Alli Lindsay had a single tally. Kristin Varilla chipped in with an assist.
North Penn (0-4) will return to action Thursday when it will face Walthamstow Hall from England.
Perkiomen Valley 6 6 – 12
North Penn 2 5 – 7
Pottstown 9, Quakertown 8
Morgan Sipprel, Haley Hangey and Liv Williams each had two goals, but it wasn’t enough as Quakertown dropped a non-league verdict to visiting Pottstown on Monday.
The young Panthers, who led 6-3 at halftime, received single goals from Kyla Frederick and Madison Peacher.
Quakertown (1-1) will travel to Neshaminy for a non-league contest Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 13, GWYNEDD MERCY 9
Brigitte Bishop turned in a stellar performance for the Patriots, scoring eight goals and also coming up with five draw controls. She reached a personal milestone when she connected on the 100th goal of her career.
Riley Forman added four goals and five draw controls. Courtney Mackenzie had one goal while Quinn Ferry had one assist and two draw controls. Kiki Fink chipped in an assist.
Fiona Henderson recorded 11 saves in goal for the Patriots.
Central Bucks East (3-1) will host Hatboro-Horsham on Thursday in a non-league contest.
