American Conference
Abington 13, Upper Dublin 6
The Ghosts continued to roll in SOL American Conference play, opening up a 7-4 halftime lead on their way to the big win. The Ghosts now have wins over two of the three teams that finished above them in the conference standings last year – defending champion Hatboro-Horsham and an Upper Dublin team that tied Wissahickon for second place. The Trojans (4-0) are the only other undefeated team in the conference.
Casey McAllister had another big game, finishing with four goals and four ground balls. Rachel Morris and Jeannie Van Buren both finished with a hat trick. Mikki Raymond added two goals and three draw controls while Sam McGee had one goal and four draw controls. Goalie Micaela Murcar was credited with nine saves in the win.
For the Flying Cardinals, Julie Cross had four goals and one assist. Hannah Reape had a goal and assist, and Nancy DeCamara added a goal. UD goalie Sarah Gallagher was credited with 17 saves.
Abington upped its league mark to 3-1 (6-0 overall) while Upper Dublin is 2-1 in league play (4-3 overall).

Hatboro-Horsham 18, Springfield (Montco) 6
Sydney Rausa (three goals, four assists) had a hand in seven goals, and Casey Swezey (four goals, two assists) was part of six to lead the Hatters in Thursday’s big win. Kaitlyn Wallace also had four goals. Gabby Acker and Carly Daley both contributed two goals and two assists, and Morgan Crostarosa had one goal and two assists. Jenna Cutilli and Lian Houseman each had one goal while Gwyn Acker had an assist.
Swezey also had four draw controls and four ground balls, and Rausa had five draw controls and two ground balls. Wallace added four draw controls and four ground balls. Gwyn Acker had three draw controls and three ground balls, and Gabby Acker added three draw controls and two ground balls as the Hatters controlled play in the midfield.
Hatter goalie Maria Sims was credited with eight saves in the win.
For the Spartans, Bailey Krewson had two goals and two ground balls. Contributing one goal were Allison Yoder, Marley Berger, Lindsey Smith and Caroline Pape. Smith also had four draw controls, and Pape had three caused turnovers. Meg Chandler was credited with an assist and one draw control, and Alyssa Griet also had one assist. Goalie Margarethe Leis was credited with five saves.
Hatboro-Horsham is 2-1 in league play (3-5 overall) while the Spartans are 0-5 in the league (1-6 overall).

Upper Merion 16, Cheltenham 2
Julia Reinert had another productive offensive day for the Vikings, contributing six goals and one assist in Thursday’s road win at Cheltenham. Anna Davis had three goals and one assist, and Allison Shuster added two goals and two assists. Lizzy Goernemann had two goals and one assist while Quinn O’Malley, Francesca Lindelow and Emily Adams had one goal each.
Goalie Jordan Cabahug-Almonte turned away three of five shots she faced in the win for the Vikings, who evened their record at 4-4.

Wissahickon 20, Norristown 4
The Trojans bounced back from Wednesday’s non-league loss to Souderton with a no-doubt-about-it win over the Eagles 24 hours later. The Trojans jumped out to a fast start, scoring off the opening draw and never looking back.
“(They) showed their true talent,” coach Patty Kovacs said. “The girls’ strength came in their passing today as they worked together, keeping the ball away from Norristown and their defense.
“The defense (contained) Norristown’s offense by causing multiple interceptions and takeaways.”
Emily Vervlied earned 10 draw controls to help move the ball to offense and set up shots on goal. She and Shannon Stagliano led the Trojans with four goals each. Lauren Irvine had a hat trick, and Carolyn Wilde, Marie Dickson and Lana Doskicz each had two goals. Perri Rabinowitz, Mary Matthews and Amanda Mitchell each scored one goal. Doskicz handed out seven assists while Wilde had two and Vervlied added one. Trojan goalie Julie Silverman had seven saves in a winning effort.
The Trojans remained perfect in league play, upping their record to 4-0 (9-2 overall) while the Eagles are 0-5 in the league (0-7 overall).
Upper Moreland 16, New Hope-Solebury 10
Delaney Smith continued her torrid offensive production, scoring eight goals to lead the Golden Bears to the big non-league win. Sophomores Allison Felicetti and Sydney Bachmayer each added a hat trick. Kiera Slater and Jess Flanagan both had a goal and three assists.
Coach Pam Remmey credited Madison Pisut and Veronica Baez for making connections in the midfield and also lauded the defensive performance of Lauren McGuire.The Golden Bears are 6-2 overall (2-0 SOL).
National Conference
Central Bucks South 13, Pennridge 8
Kristen Bernsten had four goals to lead the Titans while Kelly Senour had one goal and four assists. Sarah Poli contributed three goals and one assist, and Tori Wigand had two goals and one assist. Courtney Dietzel had a goal
and an assist, and Krysta Reading and Eva Muzika both had one goal. Molly Sullivan added an assist.
South goalie Erin Putnam turned away 13 shots in the win.
For the Lady Rams, Jess Csaszar (two goals, one assist, two draw controls), Maddie Dachowski (two goals, two assists), Grace Loughery (two goals, three draw controls) and Jen Rodzewich (one assist, three draw controls) led the way. Aimee Beck added a goal while Emily Price and Kate Ziegler both contributed one assist. Devan Rimmer had three draw controls.
Pennridge goalie Carley Wingate was credited with seven saves.
“My team showed an impressive display of hustle and determination,” Pennridge coach Karen Schnurr said. “Playing games Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is extremely difficult to do. The team never quit and fought the entire way.
“Loughery and Rodzewich played their hearts out by displaying great defense and offense. Rimmer showed her presence on the defensive end and came up with some great stops. Csaszar and Dachowski found each other on the attack end.
“I think there would have been a different outcome if we hadn’t played three games without a break. The team is capable of great things, and I am excited for the rest of the season.”
CB South is 2-1 in league play (5-2 overall) while the Rams are 1-2 in the league (6-4 overall).

Central Bucks West 20, Neshaminy 5
Bryn Boylan and Finley Ueland both contributed four goals and one assist to lead a balanced West attack in Thursday’s win. Meghan Tillger and Maddie Maio each added three goals and one assist while Jacq Fitzgerald and Elle Ueland both had two goals and one assist. Taylor Mason had one assist.
The Bucks opened up a 12-4 halftime lead on their way to the big win.
“The girls had great intensity from the first whistle,” coach Tara Schmucker said. “Their goals were to not come out flat and maintain consistency, and they did just that.
“Bryn Boylan had an overall great game with seven ground balls, nine draw controls, four goals, one assist and one turnover. Jacq Fitzgerald and Finley Ueland also helped control possession with three draws each.
“Overall, I am happy we are starting to look like everyone is on the same page, and we did not have a drop in intensity.”
For the Redskins, Fran Donato scored four goals, and Bridget Carrezola had one.
Neshaminy goalie Madilyn Egan was credited with eight saves while West’s Lauren Devlin (two saves) and Molly Naylor combined for three saves.
Central Bucks West is 3-0 in league play (7-2 overall) while the Redskins are 1-3 in the league (4-4 overall).

Archbishop Wood 11, Council Rock North 10
Margaret D’Auria turned in a glittering performance in goal, stopping 18 of 29 shots she faced, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the Vikings in a non-league battle Thursday.
For the Indians (1-5, 0-2 SOL), Claire Jarema and Anna Lehman led the way with three goals and one assist each. Greta Rolli added a pair of goals, Devon Mela contributed a goal and an assist, and Megan Haggerty added a single goal.
