UPPER DUBLIN 18, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 12
The Cardinals and Colonials found themselves deadlocked 8-8 at halftime of Tuesday’s conference battle. The game took a decidedly different turn in a second half that saw the Cardinals score 10 goals while limiting their visitors to just four.
“At halftime, I told them that PW knows how to win,” UD coach Dee Cross said. “They won the league last year, and field hockey, volleyball and basketball (won conference championships) this year.
“We challenged them to show mental toughness in the second half and show what we were made of. They responded with a nine-goal run to start the half.”
The Cardinals received huge performances from a trio of players. Jackie Rama had five goals, four assists and 10 draw controls. Mack Moore had four goals and five assists, and Lindsey Schreiber had a team-high six goals to go along with five draw controls and five ground balls.
Aly Breslin added two goals and one assist, and Caroline Wall had one goal and two assists. Hannah Reape had a pair of assists, and Shannon Reape had one assist.
Sara Herchenroder had seven saves in goal for the Cardinals.
For the Colonials, Ali Diamond (three goals, two assists) and Victoria Betterly (three goals, one assist) led the way. Lexi Petrakis and Olivia Andrews each had two goals while Sam Ward and Raquel Basken both had one goal.
Upper Dublin (7-2, 3-0 SOL) is off until next Wednesday, April 26, when the Cardinals will travel to Souderton. Plymouth Whitemarsh (0-8, 0-3) will host Quakertown on Monday.

QUAKERTOWN 20, NORRISTOWN 7
The Panthers exploded for 20 goals, rolling to a non-league win over the visiting Eagles.
Alisa Robinson scored seven goals in a standout individual effort while Bailey Roman had five goals and two assists. Kayla Donnelly had a hand in nine goals, scoring a pair and assisting on seven others. O’Donnell added a pair of goals, and Hangey had three assists. Foster had a pair of goals. Four players added one goal each.
Quakertown (2-6, 0-2 SOL) will host Cheltenham on Wednesday.
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 13, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 9
The Spartans seized early control of Tuesday’s non-league contest, opening up a 7-1 halftime lead, and although the Indians’ offense came to life in the second half, they never could make up for the ground they lost in the first half.
Lindsey Smith led the Spartans with a superb all-around outing, finishing with four goals, three ground balls, two interceptions and three draw controls. Ellie Hamilton also had a big game, contributing three goals, four assists, one ground ball and one draw control. Emily Walsh added three goals, five ground balls and one draw control. Rachel Harmon, Jameson Krewson and Ellie Leitzel each added one goal. Krewson also had an interception while Harmon had one caused turnover and one ground ball. Gracie Woron had one assist, four ground balls and one draw control, and Emily Giampietro had three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Spartan goalie Emily Henry had three saves.
Springfield (3-4, 0-2 SOL) will host Abington on Wednesday, and Council Rock North (2-5, 1-1) will host Central Bucks East.

The visiting Rams raced to a 10-1 lead on their way to the non-league win.
For the Patriots, Brigitte Bishop had a goal and an assist while Quinn Ferry, Maggie Vetter and Mackenzie Boyle each added one goal. Mel Burian had an assist.
Central Bucks East (4-4, 1-1 SOL) will travel to Council Rock North on Wednesday.
