Check out the recaps for SOL girls’ lacrosse teams in action Friday.

SOL National Conference
North Penn 9, Central Bucks East 8
The Knights came up with their biggest win of the season, defeating the visiting Patriots in a thriller. North Penn took a 7-4 lead into halftime and then held on for the win.
“It was a strong first half for North Penn, playing wide on offense to counter CB East’s double teams, leading to nice draw-and-dish goals,” North Penn coach Ken Rodoff said.
The Knights still led 9-6 heading into the final quarter but did not score in the fourth quarter as the Patriots made things very interesting, trimming their lead to one.
“CB East exerted more defensive pressure in the third quarter, causing turnovers,” Rodoff said. “We were able to win key draws near the end and then maintain possession for the final 2:30 to secure the win.”
Katie Harkins led the Knights with a five-point game that included two goals and three assists. Quinn Rodoff added two goals and an assist while Morgan Rodoff and Steph Gibson both also had two goals. Maddie Brown had one goal, and Brooke Goewey contributed an assist.
Victoria Rossi recorded 13 saves on 21 shots in a strong outing in goal for the Knights.
For the Patriots, Paige Dougherty and Cece Hayes both had two goals and one ground ball while Paige Keller also added two goals. Megan Fahey contributed one goal, one ground ball and one caused turnover. Brooke Breen had one goal and one caused turnover, and McKenna Lynch had one goal. Bella DeHaven led the defense with two caused turnovers and one ground ball. Nicolette Satterfield was credited with one ground ball and one caused turnover.
“These are the games that stick with you,” East coach Maggie Stella said. “Ones where you wish the outcome was the other way around for your players.
“My team is very young, and I know this game will be a great lesson, and it will propel them to victory as they grow in their high school career. Paige Keller and Nicolette Satterfield do a great job as leaders for this team. They are constantly giving 110 percent, and it shows. They are the best role models, and I know they will continue to lead us as we prepare for Monday.
North Penn (3-9, 3-3 SOL) will travel to Easton for a non-league game Saturday at 10 a.m., and Central Bucks East (7-5, 4-2) will be on the road at Pennsbury Monday.

Council Rock North Dominates Senior Night with Convincing Win Over Bensalem
On a special evening dedicated to honoring their senior players, Council Rock North delivered a commanding performance on the lacrosse field, securing a dominant 19-3 victory over Bensalem. The atmosphere was filled with both celebration and emotion as the seniors took center stage, showcasing their talent and resilience in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Senior Night festivities commenced with a heartfelt tribute to injured senior Bridget Walstrum, whose absence on the field this season has been deeply felt by the team. Despite being sidelined, Walstrum’s spirit and dedication to the sport served as an inspiration to her teammates throughout the game.
However, it was the senior captains who truly stole the show with their outstanding contributions. Charlotte Ondria, in particular, shone brightly, notching three goals, including her 100th career goal, and adding an assist and three crucial draw controls to her impressive stat line. Her leadership and skill on the field were instrumental in guiding Council Rock North to victory.
Julie Ondria, another senior captain, showcased her offensive prowess with four goals and an impressive five assists, demonstrating her ability to both score and create scoring opportunities for her teammates. Additionally, she made her presence felt on the defensive end with two ground balls and a draw control, showcasing her all-around impact on the game.
Senior captain Maddy Mela proved her versatility by contributing two goals, one assist, and stepping up with two big saves in goal when called upon. Her leadership and composure under pressure were invaluable to Council Rock North’s success throughout the match.
Adding to the senior dominance, Liza McBride, Taylor Deppi, and the rest of the team delivered standout performances. McBride tallied two goals and contributed on defense with a ground ball and four draw controls, while Deppi added a goal, two assists, and a ground ball to the scoresheet.
Sophomores Olivia Esposito and Cat McBride showcased their potential with Esposito securing three ground balls and two draw controls, while McBride impressed with three goals, an assist, and an impressive 10 draw controls. Gabby Mann and Ellie Carney, along with freshman sensation Ellie Carney, also made significant contributions to the team’s offensive onslaught.
In goal, junior Lucy Carney put on a stellar performance, keeping Bensalem scoreless until she was replaced by Maddy Mela. Carney’s outstanding play between the posts was highlighted by a beautiful assist to freshman McKenzie Pyle, who netted her first varsity goal, adding to the night’s memorable moments.
Overall, Council Rock North’s resounding victory on Senior Night was a fitting tribute to the dedication and talent of their senior players. As they continue their season, they will undoubtedly carry the momentum from this impressive win forward, aiming for even greater success in the matches to come.
Council Rock North (6-2, 3-1 SOL) will host Pennsbury on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., and Bensalem (5-6, 0-6) will travel to Souderton on Monday.

The Ghosts trailed 5-2 at half and still found themselves on the short end of a 10-6 score heading into the final quarter. They not only rallied to knot the score and send it into overtime – the Ghosts won it in dramatic fashion with nine seconds remaining in overtime on a goal by freshman Nora Luskin.
The exciting action didn’t begin and end in overtime.
“Freshman Erin Ely scored to take the game into overtime with two seconds left in the fourth quarter,” Abington coach Meg McClain said. “In overtime, Carly Hughes had an amazing check on the re-defend, and Piper McGinley came up with the ground ball, which allowed us to regain possession. Nora drove to goal and scored with nine seconds left in sudden death.
“It was an amazing team win. We are so proud of how hard our girls fought to the very last second.”
