PENNSBURY 16, HATBORO-HORSHAM 6

Just like the previous day, the Hatters suffered through another cold rainy day, but this time the result was not in their favor. Hatboro-Horsham hosted out of league Pennsbury in sloppy, turnover happy game.
The Hatters started off the game strong, scoring four goals right away by capitalizing off of Pennsbury’s turnovers. However, Pennsbury dominated the back half of the first half with 14 shots and 10 goals. Pennsbury led 10-5 at halftime. Pennsbury’s defense was solid all game, forcing 19 total turnovers which helped them close out the game 16-6 over Hatboro-Horsham.
Arielle Hammer and Maria Sims split time on goal for the Hatters as Amanda Kenrick had six saves of her own for Pennsbury.
The Hatters were led offensively by Carly Daley (two goals, two assists) and Gwyn Acker (two goals, one assist).
Lily Nolan and Sarah Benzinger led the way for Pennsbury with six goals for Nolan and four goals for Benzinger.
Pennsbury (1-8, 0-6 SOL) will be on the road at Council Rock South on Tuesday, and Hatboro-Horsham (3-9, 3-3) will travel to Pennridge in a night out of league fixture.

PENNRIDGE 14, SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 7
Jen Rodzewich contributed five goals, two assists, two draw controls and three caused turnovers to lead a balanced Lady Ram attack. Grace Loughery added three goals, one assist, two draw controls and three caused turnovers. Maddie Dachowski had two goals, one assist, two draw controls and one caused turnover while Katie Ziegler contributed two goals, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. Emily Price (one goal, one assist, two draw controls) and Casey Hefner (one goal, one assist, one draw control, one caused turnover) also contributed.
"Everyone played their role, and eveyone helped out for the team win," coach Karen Schnurr said.
Meg Chandler, Marley Berger and Lindsey Smith each had a pair of goals to lead a balanced Spartan attack. All three each had one ground ball. Meredith Giordano added one goal, one assist, one caused turnover and two draw controls, and Ellie Hamilton had two assists and two draw controls.
Emily Giampietro had a team-high seven ground balls to go along with two caused turnovers and two interceptions to lead the Springfield defense. Emily Walsh added three ground balls, one interception and one draw control. Gracie Woron had one caused turnover, two ground balls and one interception, and Zoe Edalatpour had one caused turnover. Goalie Margrethe Leis had eight saves for the Spartans.
Pennridge goalie Alexa Machado was credited with seven saves.
"The defense slowed down the fast breaks," Schnurr said.
Pennridge (9-5, 4-3 SOL) will host Hatboro-Horsham on Monday night at 7 p.m. Springfield Township (2-7, 0-5) will host Norristown on Monday 3:30pm.
UPPER MORELAND 16, LOWER MORELAND 2
Sydney Bachmayer had a hand in nine goals, scoring three and assisting on six others in Friday’s rout of the neighboring Lions. Delaney Smith scored three goals and had an assist while Allison Felicetti had two goals and two assists. Jess Flanagan added two goals. Contributing one goal each were Emily Zanine, Melissa Barber, Sarah Durphy, Maddy Rafferty, Mel Wittick and Claudia Zanine.
Upper Moreland (6-5, 2-3 SOL) will host Central Bucks East in a non-league contest Monday.
UPPER DUBLIN 12, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 8
The Flying Cardinals recognized senior Nancy DeCamara and Jess Derr prior to the game and then celebrated their Senior Night with a non-league win over the visiting Crusaders.
Jess Grodsky scored three goals and also had a pair of assists to go along with two ground balls, one caused turnover and three draw controls. Caroline Wall had four goals, three ground balls, two caused turnovers and one draw control. Hannah Reape had two goals, two assists, three ground balls and two draw controls. Paige Lawton added two goals and one ground ball, and Lindsey Schreiber had one goal, three ground balls, one caused turnover and five draw controls. Nancy DeCamara added two ground balls and two draw controls. Jess Derr had one caused turnover and one ground ball.
Upper Dublin (8-5, 4-2 SOL) will be on the road at Hatboro-Horsham on Tuesday.
WEST CHESTER HENDERSON 16, SOUDERTON 11
The visiting Warriors opened up an 8-6 halftime lead on their way to the non-league win Friday night.
Sarah Goodwin led the Indians with three goals and one assist to go along with three draw controls and two caused turnovers. Carlie Doughty added two goals, one assist and two draw controls while Megan Walbrandt and Leah Goodwin both had two goals. Scoring one goal each were Katie Halteman and Krista Schneider.
Defensively, Juliana Ofalt and Sophia Lynch each had two caused turnovers.
Souderton (7-6, 6-1 SOL) will host Owen J Roberts in a non-league contest on Monday.
