"Our captain, Devon Mela, was back in top form, and Claire Jarema was on fire. The whole team played hard" After goalie Margaret D'Auria made a clutch save, Jarema scored the game winner two minutes into overtime.
"It's fun to see both teams so excited before and during the game," Dayton-Ventresca said. "It's a shame that both teams can't come out with a win."

“Nikki and Caroline came up huge on attack placing their shots, and Caroline also did a wonderful job connecting her passes on attack. It is never easy losing in overtime, but I’m very proud of the girls.”
Central Bucks East 13, Pennsbury 9
The Patriots took a tenuous 6-5 lead into halftime and then outscored the Falcons 7-4 in the second half to earn their biggest win of the season.
“We have worked so hard for so long,” coach Kelly White said. “Instead of allowing some of the obstacles and challenges that were happening (earlier this season) to put them in a hole where they were going to give up and quit on the season, they have dug themselves out of the hole.
“They have worked so hard. They have played, in my opinion, with determination, class and perseverance. Some of the losses we had were tough losses, but they held their heads up high and conducted themselves in a manner I’m very proud of, displaying good sportsmanship. They have never given up, and today, they came out with confidence. At the end of the day, the heart and passion were there, and they came out with a win.”
White credited Katelyn Stout, who had a hat trick, for playing an “amazing game.” FreshmanRiley Donnelly had a hand in six goals, finishing with four goals and two assists. Kaitlyn Mikalic also scored scored three times, and Betty Wesney added three goals of her own and an assist.
Alana Rivers stopped 12 of 21 shots she faced to earn win.

“What I saw today was a team effort, and that’s where our success lies. It was awesome. I’m very, very proud of them.”
The Lady Falcons dropped to 7-7 and 4-3, respectively.
Central Bucks East 6-7—13
Pennsbury 5-4—9
Souderton 11, Central Bucks South 9
The Indians’ defense stood tall in Thursday’s win over a Titan squad that was coming off an emotional win over Central Bucks South.
“I think the biggest part of our defense was our communication and being there for each other, so when we wanted to crash on the ball, there was always someone there to help us,” senior defender Emily Hopkins said.
Adding to the emotion of Thursday’s contest against a Titan squad with just one loss was the fact that Souderton coach Kelly Kelly was not on the sidelines after giving birth to a son one day earlier.
“We were sending texts to Kelly every five seconds – there was no way we were leaving coach Kelly out of this game,” said assistant coach Lauren Whiteside, who was standing in for Kelly.
The Indians– thanks to a late goal by Rachel Judge (Amber Lambeth assist) – went into halftime with a 6-5 lead. Souderton goalie Kelly Williams had five big saves in the opening half – turning away four consecutive shots during a key stretch.
“When there are so many shots, I just get that much more pumped,” Williams said. “When there’s a lull, I’m not as fast to stop it. Just going into the game, we knew how big it was.”
With the Titans down a player, Kyra Shank and Brittany Roynan scored back-to-back goals within a 17-second span in the opening minute of the second half. Carlie Doughty, who won the draw after Shank’s goal, had the assist on Roynan’s goal that put the Indians on top 8-5.
Goals by Sarah Poli, who led the Titans with three goals and an assist, and Kasey Dietzel made it an 8-7 game, but Doughty and Roynan scored to put the Indians back on top 10-7. Roynan’s goal came after an interception by Hopkins.
“We’ve been having trouble with our transition from defense to offense,” Poli said. “I think we just really need to work on that.
“We’ll get a really great caused turnover down low, and then on our way out, we get another turnover back in, and they end up picking up on that.”
A free position goal by Kasey Dietzel made it a 10-8 game, but Lambeth scored on a free position to give the Indians a three-goal edge before Poli scored a late goal for the 11-9 final.
For the Indians, Natalie Bulgier, who watched the closing minutes from the sidelines after picking up her second yellow card, Doughty and Roynan each had two goals. Doughty also had an assist. Lambeth and Krista Schneider both had a goal and assist while Shank, Judge and Juliana Ofalt all had one goal.
While Poli led the Titans, Kasey Dietzel added two goals and one assist and Krysta Reading had a pair of goals. Courtney Dietzel and Tori Wigand each had one goal.
Souderton (14-2, 7-0) is the lone National Conference team without a loss. CB South is 4-2 in conference play (9-4 overall).

Central Bucks West 10, North Penn 9
Two days after watching a second half lead slip away in a loss to Central Bucks South, the visiting Bucks saw the Maidens – who trailed by four midway through the second half – trim the deficit to one. This time they held on for the big win.
“The difference between this game and our last was that we never gave up or were complacent,” CB West coach Tara Schmucker said. “(We) maintained intensity all game and our defense came up big tonight. North Penn showed a lot of speed and aggression in the end, but our defense had some big stops and took some time off the clock as well.”
Jacq Fitzgerald scored four times and also had an assist to lead CB West (11-4, 6-1), while Meghan Tillger and Bryan Boylan each scored twice. Paige Savard, Elle Ueland and Finley Ueland each had one goal. Tillger also assisted on two goals.
Schmucker lauded the defensive effort of Meghan Darcy, who had two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
“Meghan had a great, well-disciplined defensive game,” the Bucks’ coach said. “Jacq Fitzgerald, Meghan Tillger and Bryn Boylan were stronger on the draw tonight, and when we didn’t win draws, the pressure on them was much better.
“Although it was sloppy in the second half, we will take it, and they should be proud of the fight all game.”
Chloe Noval and Emily Schulze led the Maidens with two goals each. Jenn DeLongis, Sydney Lear, Bri O’Donnell and Kaitlyn Phifer each had one goal. Delongis and Schulze each chipped in with an assist.
Michelle Dyck was credited with four saves in goal for the Maidens while West’s Lauren Devlin and Molly Naylor combined for four saves in a winning effort.
