A good word to describe the Golden Hawks offense on Thursday would be balanced.
Five separate players – Kate Deal, Ella Mayberry, Amy Loving, Karissa Smedley and Amanda Green – all registered a hat trick to spread out the scoring. They were pretty good sharing the ball as well, with Loving and Smedley each dishing two assists while Mayberry had a helper.
Kelly Longmore scored a goal and assisted on two others for South in the win over the neighborhood rival Jems.
The win finishes a 14-4 season for the Golden Hawks. CR South held the No. 13 spot in the District 1 3A rankings, putting it in line for a first round home playoff game on Tuesday.

Strath Haven 15, Plymouth Whitemarsh 6
The Colonials hit the road for a matchup with one of the top teams in the District 1 2A rankings and saw the Panthers’ offense was deserving its standing.
“It was a tough loss. Strath Haven controlled the draw and got a big lead,” PW coach Ellen Reilly said. “We had early opportunities to try and keep it close, but we committed too many turnovers. A positive is that my players didn’t give up and stayed fighting.”
Liv Reilly netted two goals to lead the Colonials, Maita Jayo had two goals and an assist and the duo of Ella Clark and Liv Budin each tallied one goal.
The loss dropped PW to No. 29 in the 3A rankings, with the top 24 teams making the postseason.
Strath Haven, the No. 4 team in 2A, was led by four goals from Molly Omars and a hat trick by Annie D’Ignazio.
