UPPER DUBLIN 12, WISSAHICKON 6
Upper Dublin roared out to a 9-0 halftime lead and withstood a strong second half from Wissahickon to earn their first victory in the rivalry since April 18, 2013. The Cardinals went on to the win the conference crown that year, the program’s last title.
“This was the first time this group of seniors has beaten Wissahickon,” UD head coach Dee Cross said. “We jumped out to a 9-0 lead and our defense did a great job of limiting shots and pressuring the ball. It means a lot to the girls because it is always a good neighborhood rivalry with Wissahickon.”

HATBORO-HORSHAM 9, PLYMOUTH-WHITEMARSH 6
With the score knotted at three at halftime, Hatboro-Horsham used a strong second frame to propel themselves to victory in a hard-fought contest. The win was the fifth straight for the suddenly streaking Hatters.

“Those turnovers allowed Hatboro to capitalize and go up by two goals,” Reilly said. “Hatboro played smart in possessing the ball. We still had good opportunities but couldn’t put the ball in the net.”
Ali Diamond and Lexi Petrakis each scored twice for PW, and Lilly Hanlon and Amanda Fineman added a score apiece, with the latter also tallying an assist.
Meghan Ely made 15 saves in goal for PW. Hatters’ goalie Arielle Hammer recorded 13 saves.
Both goalies had good games,” Reilly said.
Wednesday’s win came on the heels of a 12-8 win over the Spartans on Monday that saw the Hatters outscore the Spartans 6-2 in the second half after the two teams battled to a 6-6 tie at the intermission.
“The girls fought hard and worked together,” coach Marie Schmucker said. “Senior leadership carried the team to victory.”

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 15, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 2
The Patriots celebrated Senior Day in style on Wednesday, opening up a 9-1 halftime lead on their way to the convincing win.
Coach David Schlesinger had high praise for his four seniors – Kayla Bartl (Butler University), Mel Burian (University of South Carolina), Sara Donnelly (University of Delaware), and Maggie Vetter (West Chester University).
“I can’t emphasize enough how important the senior class is and how much they affect the development of culture, commitment, and attitude of the team,” coach Dave Schlesinger said. “I have been blessed with four amazing seniors that have put the team and this program ahead of everything else so that we can begin to build an amazing program.
“From our offseason workouts to winter league to preseason and the season, attendance and commitment has been extraordinary, which has everything to do with the leadership from our seniors.
“There is real affection for each other throughout the entire team, and the seniors have embraced everything I’ve asked of them. I recognize how difficult it could have been to have a new coach brought in for their last year of high school lacrosse; especially one like me that does not accept anything less than their best, at all times. They have responded to every challenge, been respectful and coachable throughout the season, and have helped me develop a culture of excellence and caring throughout our program.”
Freshman Riley Forman led the Patriots with five goals while Burian added three goals and one assist. Vetter had two goals and an assist, and Whitney Dietz scored one and assisted on two others.
