Colonial Division
PENNRIDGE 2, NORTH PENN 1 (OT)
Mikayla Loux scored both Pennridge goals, her second one the overtime game-winner, as the Rams continued their remarkable overtime success with a 2-1 victory over North Penn on Friday.
“I’m proud of Mikayla for her two goals this afternoon,” said Pennridge coach Lucas Kriner. “We’re coaching her up to be a competitor and dangerous with her choices when she’s involved in the attack. She has been receptive, engaged, and really doing a nice job understanding the role of the forward in our system.”

Pennridge coach Lucas Kriner: “Where I come from, overtime was always thought of as something you wanted to avoid, not embrace. It’s meant to be extraordinary. You never want to rely on extra minutes. You want to get business done in 80.
“I guess we could say our overtime record is good, but it’s not something we want to hang our hat on. Cumulatively, we’ve played maybe 8 or 9 minutes of overtime across three contests, all 2-1 wins, which is something I’ve never seen before. It’s not like we’re learning how deep we can go into extra frames; we’re not getting a handle on what the pressure and heavy legs of golden goal situations feel like brushing up against 100 minutes.
“Overall, we need to be better within the 80 we’re given and finish off opponents in less than that. That’s how I analyze it. We addressed it, we move on to the next one, and I know the girls will play with more urgency upcoming.”
Up next: The Rams will celebrate Senior Night when they host Central Bucks South at 7 pm Monday. North Penn will visit Souderton at 7:30 pm Monday.

LOWER MORELAND 0, GWYNEDD MERCY ACADEMY 0 (2OT)
Senior goalkeeper Giuls Fogarty was stellar, and her skill and timely saves were huge as Lower Moreland battled nonleague opponent Gwynedd Mercy Academy to a scoreless tie on Friday.
“Giuls played an outstanding game,” said Lions’ coach Todd Hill. “She made the right decisions all day and asserted herself in really helpful ways. Giuls kept us in the game, but also did a good job starting the counter-attack out of the back.”
LM coach Todd Hill on the team’s effort: “Today our girls committed to going toe-to-toe with a really talented Gwynedd Mercy team, and 100 minutes later, that commitment still stood. It was our most gutsy performance of the year. I am really proud of the disciplined game the girls played, but also the creativity they used to absorb the pressure and create really dangerous counter-attacks.”
—Props: “Beyond Guils, it was such a team effort – every player played their part. Our middle players were particularly effective in working really well together today, from center backs Agnes Kroll and Izzy O’Brien to our center midfielders Sammy Pennisi and Quinn Rozanski. Wing defense from Violet Levin and Ella Rossiter was really solid, and wingers Gabby Sellecchia and Jordyn Fox did a great job with the hard work of getting up and down the wings over and over again. Lastly, our attackers Shannon Mahon and Emma Leibert created a number of really good chances, while keeping a lot of pressure on the Gwynedd Mercy defense.”
Up next: Lower Moreland will visit William Tennent at 3:30 pm Monday.
