SOL Colonial
Central Bucks East 4, Central Bucks West 0
Rain and wind couldn’t put a damper on the annual Kick 4 Pink game, hosted for just the second time ever at Central Bucks East.
It’s a night that means more than just the competition on the pitch, with the rival programs coming together to raise funds for the Kin Wellness Center and bring attention to breast cancer awareness. Once the game got underway, it was East’s potent front line that took charge after the host Patriots held off an early surge by the visiting Bucks.
All three of East’s first half goals came from juniors, with Mia Forney having a goal and assist and twins Taylor and Ella Roumy scoring and assisting the first two goals respectively before Mattie Williams, who has established herself as a vital player this season, added insurance on a penalty kick. Sophomore Quinn Reilly secured the win with a second half tally as East won its third straight overall and posted a second consecutive shutout.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
CBE – Taylor Roumy (Mia Forney)
CBE – Mia Forney (Ella Roumy)
CBE – Mattie Williams (PK)
2nd Half
CBE – Quinn Reilley, assisted by Liz Mooney
CB East coach Jake Nesteruk on the night: “Despite the weather, it was a really special night to be a part of. This annual Kick 4 Pink game means a lot to both programs and brings two cross-town rivals together for Breast Cancer Awareness and raising funds for the Kin Wellness Center. It’s a great reminder that, yes, we’re here to win, but there’s more to our sport, our programs, and beyond and really proud I get to play a very small role in it all.”
–The game: “I thought we did a lot of really good things tonight. Despite going into the wind in the first half, I thought we were pretty intentional in our build out, made the necessary adjustments to deal with the weather, and ended up putting together one of our most productive first halves all year. Credit to anyone that played in the back or in goal tonight for staying composed on the ball; I turned to our staff and said half-jokingly, ‘No way that could be me.’”
–Juniors spark the attack: “The combination of Taylor Roumy and Mia Forney got us started early tonight, with a great run down the flank from Mia and a good finish from T. Not long after, after a good ball in from Mattie Williams, Taylor crossed the ball from left to right deep over to Ella Roumy who after a bit of footwork, found a great pass into the feet of Mia which she buried off her second touch. To close out the half, Mattie Williams converted on a PK after putting together such a massive first half for us.”
–Second Half: “Despite going with the wind, I thought we lacked a bit of an edge to really break this game open. Some of it was our own doing, but credit goes to West for digging in and not backing down from this game. In the first, they created enough to bag a goal or two, but Aralynn gave us one really good save to keep the zero on the board. Second half, playing just a bit tighter in the midfield kind of slowed us a bit, but this group has got good patience with the game, and we finally broke through after a quick ball to feet from Liz Mooney. Quinn Reilley just kind of turned with it and created enough separation from their center back and tucked a really good finish into the far right corner on the 1v1 against their keeper.”
–Props: “Mattie Williams has stepped up massively for us in the center of the park and having Kiera (Sleicher) back taking over for an injured Ava Mignon, I thought we had a very good night with those two leading along with good showings from Ella Roumy and Mackenzie Peters and then some key minutes from Rylie Leedy and Delaney Ralph down the stretch. All in all, true team effort from our crew tonight and very proud with how we played, our leadership throughout, and maintaining the clean sheet despite the conditions.”
CB West coach Bree Benedict: “Olivia Barrett led an early charge in the first half, we created three chances we should have scored and didn’t. Janelle Blokker, Allie Pisch, Andy Friel, Anna McGrath and Maura Duffy each had a great game.”
Up next: CB East visits North Penn on Wednesday. CB West hosts Pennridge at 7pm on Wednesday.
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3 1 – 4
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0 0 – 0
Pennridge 1, Central Bucks South 0
A late goal by senior Emily Hensler lifted the Rams to a hard-fought win over the Titans in a clash of two teams near the top of the District 1 Class 4A rankings.
The win was significant for Pennridge not only as a nice ending to their Senior Night celebration but it also kept the Rams a game ahead in the SOL Colonial division standings. Hensler’s goal was the result of pure hustle and determination as she followed up a rebound after South’s Morgan Sowash made a tremendous save on a well-struck free kick by Pennridge senior Addy Mills with 7:35 left.
Both teams are not only well in line for a first round playoff bye next week, but are in the mix for top-four seeds along with another SOL Colonial team in Central Bucks East.

2nd Half
P – Emily Hensler (Addy Mills) 7:35
Pennridge coach Lucas Kriner on the win: Happy for everyone for such a good result on senior night. We knew South would be tough. We emphasized using the energy of the night to win duels and to execute individual roles would collectively help us meet our objectives.”
–Senior hustle: “Props to Emily Hensler for scoring the deciding goal. It was a perfect example of fighting hard and having the will to be the first to the ball. Addy’s free kick was superb. All you have to do in that situation is put the ball on frame and she did just that. So many players want to smash it in the top corner, but Addy was clinical with her approach. Emily had the forethought to crash the net hard knowing the ball would be a little hard to handle with the rain. We discussed throughout the evening that ugly weather makes conditions for scrappy goals.”
–Midfield makes a mark: “The whole midfield worked really hard tonight. Molly Fannon, Kendra Palena, Emily Hensler, Madigan Posey and G Howley worked hard and smart. The tactics were really good. Madigan, in particular, was outstanding in her role. Everyone’s decisions about when to press and when to stay compact were great.”
–Back line holds up: “Nat Walter, Peyton Rabinowitz, Avery Runk and Addy Mills were solid along the back line, too. Their spacing, shifting and shouting instructions were among the best performances of the year so far. A well-deserved clean sheet for them.”
–Gloving it: “Cece (senior keeper Seretha DeMoss) made some timely saves for us. Nothing super acrobatic – just good clean holds for us at really important stages of the game. Sure hands on a slippery night like tonight is a tough ask, but Cece showed her qualities once again – good positioning and reliable catching went a long way for us.”
CB South coach Dana Cole: “Hard fought game. Pennridge scored on a free kick at the top of the 18 with 7:35 left. Morgan Sowash made a great save, but they followed up the shot and put it away. We tried to fight back with Riley Karpinski and Khloe Montini wanting the ball up top and had some opportunities but could not capitalize. Peyton Mumm was a steady force in the back and Alanna Peev, Peyton Karpinski and Brooke Kerrigan played great defense. Tessa Hughes, Monica Daly and Maddie Roe fought for 50-50 balls and tried to distribute, but we just could not generate enough offense tonight to win it unfortunately.”
Up next: Pennridge visits CB West at 7pm on Wednesday. CB South hosts Souderton at 7pm on Wednesday.
PENNRIDGE 0 1 – 1
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 0 – 0
Souderton 4, North Penn 1
Souderton’s seniors were only guaranteed one more home game this season, so they made it a memorable one on Monday.
While Big Red, in the midst of a resurgent season, finished the night in position to host a first round playoff game, there’s still a lot of movement to be done in the District 1 4A rankings. What Souderton could control was its movement on the pitch against a solid North Penn side that’s well in line for a third straight playoff appearance.
Scoring Summary
1st half
S – Kylie Cummings (16′ – Sienna Stunkard assist)
2nd half
S – Julia Purvy (PK) 53rd
S – Julia Purvy (Hanna Beckett) 61st
NP – 63rd
S – Hannah Beckett (Lily Heron) 70th
Goalkeeper Saves: S – Kahlan Hurley 6
Souderton coach Melissa Lollar on the win: “Souderton sent their seniors off in a winning fashion during their final home game tonight against North Penn. Souderton, celebrating Senior Night for their eight seniors, came out determined to end the rainy night in the win column. Souderton got on the board early in the 16th minute when Sienna Stunkard sent a beautiful corner kick into the penalty area where a streaking Kylie Cummings blasted home the header. Then it was a defensive battle to get to halftime 1-0.”
–Second half surge: “Once the second half whistle blew, Souderton stepped on the gas. In the 53rd minute, Julia Purvy put the Indians up 2-0 when she earned and buried a penalty shot. A short time later, in the 61st minute, Julia Purvy completed her brace, off a great assist from Hannah Beckett. Souderton did give up a goal off a miscommunication across the defensive line just two minutes later but responded yet again with Hannah Beckett scoring in the 70th minute on a wonderful through ball provided by Lily Heron.”
Up next: North Penn hosts CB East on Wednesday. Souderton visits CB South at 7pm on Wednesday.

SOL Patriot
Pennsbury 1, Council Rock North 0
The Falcons, under the lights and in some less-than-ideal weather on their Senior Night, picked up a big win that also had implications in the SOL Patriot standings.
While a large part of Pennsbury’s resurgence the last two seasons has been powered by a talented group of underclassmen, there’s also no doubt to the impact the seniors each of the last two years have made. This year’s group – Gianna Dotto, Corinne Russo, Izzy DiMattia, Ashlyn McEwing, and Clare Caldaro – fill plenty of roles and will see their team’s name in the postseason bracket for a second straight year this weekend.
Scoring Summary

2nd Half
P – Ria Pevzner (Sofia Gorski)
Pennsbury coach Jenna Peters on the win: “We knew from the start this game was going to be a battle. Council Rock North is a great team and Gavin (Flannigan) always has them well-prepared. From the moment warm-ups began, the rain and wind made conditions tough, but it was our senior night, and our girls came out fired up and ready to play.”
–Falcons’ mentality: “We have been focused all season on our mindset, and tonight was no different. We talked before the game about controlling what we can and playing for each other, especially for our seniors. The first half was very back and forth, but our defense, Izzy DiMattia, Clare Caldaro, Jordyn Patrick, and Piper Curtin and goalkeeper Madison Ferroni played extremely well to keep us level going into halftime.”
–Halftime changes: “At the half, we regrouped and talked about adjustments, using the wind to our advantage, taking some pace off our passes, and focusing on possession to swing the field. The girls came out with high energy and pressed hard. We were able to connect, move the ball well, and create chances in the final third.”
–Game-winner: “The breakthrough came when Ashlyn McEwing earned a corner kick. Sofia Gorski delivered a perfect ball to the front post, where Ria Pevzner battled and poked it into the net for the game-winner.”
–Senior recognition: “This was a big win for our team, not just for the result, but for what it represented. We were celebrating our five seniors: Gianna Dotto, Corinne Russo, Izzy DiMattia, Ashlyn McEwing, and Clare Caldaro, and it meant so much to see them lead the team to a win they’ve truly earned. Their leadership, effort, and love for this program have set the tone all season.”

Neshaminy 8, Harry S Truman 0
Bri Garyah and Anna Axenroth each netted a brace while Lily Kaczmarek picked up an assist as Neshaminy secured the SOL Patriot crown after factoring in other results around the division.
Neshaminy repeats as the division champion, despite a significant change in personnel from last year. Monday also marked a seventh straight win for the team, which is well in line to earn at least a first round home playoff game and is on the border of a first round bye as the regular season heads into its final days.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
N – Bri Garyah (Lily Kaczmarek)
N – Anna Axenroth (Lily Kaczmarek)
N – Anna Axenroth (Bri Garyah)
N – Cassidy Tweedie
2nd half
N – Nana Ofosu-Mensah (Erin Dougherty)
N – Maria Mitchell (Alydia Cooksley)
N – Lana Weber (Celia Horton)
N – Deven Shreck
Neshaminy coach Josh Van Reed: “Really nice to have everyone contribute today in tough conditions from our team. Truman has been working hard and improving all year and they deserve credit for the strides they’ve made.”
Harry S Truman coach Brian Gilbert: “Despite the score and the weather, the Truman girls continued to play hard until the last whistle. Senior goaltender Aubrey Thompson and sophomore goaltender Dani Gilbert split the game in net, each making double digit saves. Senior captain Grace Darpino played another full game at fullback, easily leading the team in total minutes played for the season.”
Truman standouts: “Neshaminy is a very good team that appears poised to make a nice playoff run starting next week. With our injuries, we weren’t able to give them the same battle we did in the first meeting, however adversity brought opportunity, and some of our younger players got to see a lot of minutes today. I’m proud of the players stepping up and playing positions that they are not accustomed to. It’s difficult to switch positions, especially this late in the season. Our leading scorer, sophomore Gwen Marston stepped up and asked to play sweeper. First year player Julianna Romer dropped back to play outside full back for the first. Both girls played 60 minutes on defense.”
Up next: Neshaminy hosts Villa Joseph Marie at 7pm on Tuesday. Harry S Truman visits Council Rock North on Wednesday.

Every goal matters right now for the Flying Cardinals and they got a big one Tuesday night.
Senior Peyton Ward delivered a walk-off winner in overtime, capping Senior Night with a crucial win as UD continued to battle for a spot in the District 1 Class 4A playoffs. Ward scored twice while senior Ava Shohen had the other goal, all of them needed as UD entered the day holding the 28th and final playoff spot.
Lily Harvey scored both goals for Hatboro-Horsham.
The Cardinals celebrated their senior class – Cassandra Friel, Ava Shohen, Hannah Ellner, Maeve Hogan, Kaelyn Wartman, Julia Scullen, Peyton Ward and Rosie Sitman – and will enter the final fixture of the season looking to make it back-to-back playoff berths.

UD coach Darius Gbunblee on the win: “This was another tough performance from this team. The weather wasn’t ideal, but we played through it, Hatboro-Horsham made it really hard to play the way we wanted to, it felt like every time we tried to pull away, they would respond. I just want to shine the spotlight on all of our seniors. They are a great group of girls and also shout out to senior Peyton Ward for her clutch game winner.”

Quakertown 3, Wissahickon 0
Between a long bus ride to and from Monday’s venue, a night start and Wissahickon celebrating its Senior Night, the Panthers had plenty of factors to overcome.
Add in some particularly nasty weather, and it wasn’t surprising the first 40 minutes ended with neither team having scored. Quakertown found its stride in the second half, putting away three chances with all three goals coming from sophomores.
Shylee Williams scored twice and Maya James put the game away with the Panthers’ third goal, the two second year players adding on to what have been excellent seasons for each of them.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
No scoring
2nd Half
Q – Shylee Williams 53rd
Q – Shylee Williams 61st
Q – Maya James 70th
Quakertown coach Jon Gingrich on the win: “Our defense was really good tonight. With the bad weather, I thought our defense really stepped up, kept shots out and passed the ball really well. We also didn’t get caught on some massive goalie kicks in the first half. Senior Anna Greenday, sophomores Brielle Bailey, Ellie Stanziola, Emily Marzinkie and freshman Alexa Reich, all of these girls played a part in our win.”
–Scoring plays: “Sophomore Shylee Williams volleyed a ball at the keeper in the 53rd minute, we got a fortunate bounce off the keeper’s hands. In the 61st minute, sophomore Shylee Williams again took a touch past her defender and fired it past the Wissahickon keeper. In the 70th minute, senior Anna Greenday fired a blast off a free kick, the Wissahickon keeper made a great save on the shot but sophomore Maya James blasted the rebound in.”
–Williams changes game: “Sophomore Shylee Williams was a tough match-up all night for Wissahickon’s defense. She was using her speed to get on through ball passes, she was pressing their defense all night and she scored two goals.”
–Midfield mastery: “Our Midfield was also very good tonight. We won a lot of head balls but also controlled the center of the pitch. Senior Faith Greenday, junior Brynn Gillin, sophomore Anna Gingrich and sophomore Maya James worked all night to help get us a win.”
–Steady in goal: “Our goalie, sophomore Lilly Remick, had a great game. With conditions bad due to rain and wind, Lilly won a lot of their deep balls with kicks or just coming out and picking the ball up. She also had solid hands catching a good amount of shots and not letting any rebounds spill out.”

The Spartans’ offense struck early and propelled Springfield Twp to a fifth straight win to remain in sole possession of first place in the SOL Freedom Division.
Karter Brady continued her season-long run of form with a brace to lead the offensive charge while Olivia Gatewood secured the shutout in goal, the defense getting its third clean sheet in the last four fixtures. Liz Hanuschak and Karly Hartman also scored for the Spartans.
With a one-game lead in the table, the Spartans can secure an outright division title on Wednesday night when they will also celebrate their seniors.
Scoring Summary

ST – Karter Brady
ST – Liz Hanuschak
ST – Karter Brady
2nd Half
ST – Karly Hartman
Springfield Twp coach Chris Tomarelli on the win: “The Springfield Spartans continued their run with a 4-0 road win over Upper Moreland. The defense remained rock-solid, backed by another strong performance from goalkeeper Olivia Gatewood, who has stepped up her game in recent matches. On the offensive end, Karter Brady led the charge with a pair of goals. Liz Hanushchak and Karly Hartman each added one to round out the scoring.
–Title run: “The Spartans now turn their focus to Senior Night this Wednesday when they host Cheltenham. With the win, Springfield inches closer to making school history as they aim to clinch the Freedom Division title for the first time ever.”
UM assistant coach Sarah Veneziale: While Springfield found the back of the net four times, we continued to fight for the entirety of the game. The girls were able to connect well through the midfield, finding both the wings and center mids to create strong offensive opportunities.
–Props: “The defensive line played an outstanding game. Aubrey Scarpitti, Jada Rivera, and Julie Albert held steady under pressure and kept Springfield from extending their lead. Goalie Grace Costello also came up with several key saves to keep our momentum and energy up throughout the match.”

SPRINGFIELD TWP 3 1 – 4
UPPER MORELAND 0 0 – 0
William Tennent 2, Lower Moreland 0
The Panthers got a goal on either side of halftime as they picked up a key win to take over second place in the SOL Freedom standings.
William Tennent, which is also on the District 1 Class 4A playoff bubble, got the game-winner from senior standout Sofia Jakimoski in the first half with Kaitlyn D’Ambra adding the insurance goal late in the second half. The Panthers have two matches left as they look to secure one of the final playoff spots in the 28-team 4A field.
Lower Moreland is in good standing for the District 1 Class 3A bracket, but the Lions will be looking to head into the postseason with some momentum.
Scoring Summary
1st Half
WT – Sofia Jakimoski
2nd Half
WT – Kaitlyn D’Ambra
William Tennent coach Elise Jara on the win: “The team played well today given the weather conditions. We made some adjustments in the second half and were able to keep Lower Moreland’s speedy offense at bay. Excellent game by Senior Mia Rahn in the back she has been a rock for us all season. Great efforts all around credit to Megan Pacchioli for notching a shutout. Leila Santos worked the right side and had several opportunities along with Grace Bochnak and Bailey Kasner.”
Lower Moreland coach Todd Hill: “Tough loss to Tennent today. Our girls played really hard and created lots of chances but just couldn’t get the ball in the back of the net. Even at this stage of the season, the girls are eager to continue to grow, so we will get back to work again tomorrow.”
–Props: “It was another really strong performance by goalkeeper Giuls Fogarty today. She had several outstanding saves to keep us in the game. I also thought Quinn Rozanski did a good job today, creating some really good opportunities while also getting back to defend a strong Tennent attack”
