CB East & CB South battled to a tie and Quakertown picked up an important win. Check out Thursday’s recaps.

SOL Continental
Central Bucks East 1, Central Bucks South 1 2OT
Sometimes, the toughest opponent facing a team isn't an actual opponent but instead the schedule.
A hard-fought draw with CB East ended a long week for the Titans, who are glad to have a few days off before starting the second half of conference play next week. South went to double overtime in a loss to Neshaminy, then came back to out-grind North Penn before taking on East this week.
"It was a see-saw battle today," South coach Betsy Bullock said. "Not much offense by either team. We were pressing hard in the overtime but couldn't finish."
Chelsea Nicholls provided the lone goal for the Titans when she shot the ball into the back of the net off a corner kick in the 11th minute, which held for a 1-0 lead at half.
Bullock credited the play of her back four – Margot Centofanti, Mackenzie Edwards, Izzy Manzella and Amanda Krysko – who logged a lot of minutes this week.
East tied the game up when Julie Beedle headed home an assist from Marissa Plack in the 60th minute.
"South had the better of play for most of the second half," East coach Paul Eisold said. "We played well the last 12-15 minutes and kept the pressure on South in overtime. Both teams had chances to put the game away but overall it was pretty even play."
Eisold noted the play of Ashley Balderson in the back.
"She played great and had great cover to keep South out of the goal in the second half and overtime," Eisold said.
Central Bucks South (5-2-2, 3-1-1 SOL) will be on the road at Souderton on Monday at 7 p.m., and Central Bucks East (5-3-2, 2-2-1) will travel to North Penn on Monday for 3:30 p.m. contest.

Souderton 5, William Tennent 1
The Indians avoided becoming the Panthers’ latest victim, thanks to a resurgent offense.
Souderton kept its strong attacking play rolling with seniors Cara McCausland and Tori Dowd leading the charge. Dowd scored just three minutes into the game off a McCausland assist. Sara Readinger blasted a 40-yard rocket three minutes later, and Allie Trick made it 3-0 at half when she took the ball off a defender and winning the 1-v-1 with eight minutes left.
"High-scoring game, which we were thrilled about since we've been working on our shooting at practice," Souderton coach Chris Felber said. "We came to win today, and we played a strong attacking game, dominating the midfield especially."
Dowd found McCausland in the second half, then the speedster senior scored her second goal off a great assist from Aleia Kramer.

Quakertown 3, Plymouth Whitemarsh 1
The last matchup in the first half of SOL American play had a lot riding on it for the Panthers and the Colonials.
Both teams needed a win to stay a game behind Upper Dublin, and it was Quakertown that came out on top. Senior Katie Moyer bagged a brace while Ashley Gluck provided a goal and an assist.
"We scored off three restarts, stuff we have been working on, so I'm very proud of the effort," Quakertown coach Mike Koch said.
Sam Barkholz and Brenna Foster also had assists for the Panthers, who are now in second in the Continental.
"Melina Jagiello, Haley Pursel and Kyra Handel were strong for Quakertown," Koch said. "Morgan Small made a top-flight save in the second half with the score still 2-1."

Wissahickon 4, Springfield Township 0
The Trojans split their offense evenly with four different players scoring a goal.
Anna Schools, Victoria Selverian, Lieke Black and Sam Comonitski all put one away for Wissahickon, which also posted its first shutout of the season.
Captain Alexis Smith split the backline to find Schools for a one-on-one with the Spartans’ keeper. Schools won that battle and found the back of the net for a goal and a 1-0 Trojan lead. Selverian hit the net from outside the 18 on a free kick to make it a 2-0 game midway through the first half. That 2-0 score stood until halftime.
Black picked up a rebound in front of the six for a goal, and Comonitski hit from well outside the 18 for the 4-0 final.
Trojan keeper Quinn Klessel recorded eight saves in the win.

Upper Dublin 3, Upper Moreland 0
Tina Haig and Emily Booth have entrenched themselves as Upper Dublin's go-to scorers halfway through the season.
Considering Haig is a workhorse center mid and Booth was supposed to play wing until injuries forced her to striker, the Cardinals aren't complaining. Haig netted a pair of goals, including the winner 12:50 into the game while Booth scored the middle goal and assisted Haig's opener.
As usual, the Golden Bears played tough.
"We matched pretty solidly in the first half," UM coach Lisa Benvenuto said. "Carly Wasson, Shannon Moore, Maddie Gerlach and Alexis Lamb played strong for Upper Moreland. Upper Dublin had a balanced attack and the depth from the bench."
Upper Dublin (8-0-1, 7-0 SOL) steps out of conference to host North Penn on Friday. Upper Moreland (3-7, 1-6) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh on Monday.
