North Penn, Pennridge & CR South were winners in SOL girls’ soccer action on Friday. Check out the recaps.
NORTH PENN 3, UPPER DUBLIN 2
The Knights did what no team before them had done, handing the Flying Cardinals their first loss of the season. They made a definitive statement when Tia Sheehy turned a pass from Grace Sacchetti into a goal in the second minute and added another goal two minutes later, this one by Amelia Eshraghi with an Olivia Urgan assist. Less than five minutes into the game, the Knights led 2-0.
The Cardinals battled back in the second half. Tori Hoffner scored back-to-back goals – the first in the 49th minute with an assist from Tina Haigh and the second with an Erin O’Brien assist in the 52nd minute.
With overtime looming, the Knights were awarded a penalty kick in the 78th minute. Emma Dickson made it count, connecting for a goal that turned out to be the game winner.
North Penn (4-6-1, 1-4-1 SOL) will host Central Bucks East on Monday, and Upper Dublin (8-1-1, 7-0) will host Cheltenham on Monday.

PENNRIDGE 5, QUAKERTOWN 0
Abby Groff scored a pair of goals and assisted on another to lead the visiting Rams to the convincing win over their neighboring rivals. Lindsey Dehaven added a pair of goals – the first assisted by Groff and the second assisted by Nicolete Harrison. Ashley Groeber added an unassisted goal.
Mary Kate Levush and Meghan Kriney combined for the shutout in goal.
Pennridge (7-1-1, 4-1-1 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks South on Monday (7:30 p.m.). Quakertown (8-3, 6-1) will be on the road at Wissahickon.
COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 2, HOPEWELL VALLEY CENTRAL (NJ) 1
The Golden Hawks found themselves on the short end of a 1-0 halftime score as Hopewell Valley capitalized on a free kick to score the only goal of the half.
The Hawks responded with a pair of goals in the second half, keeping their perfect record intact. South knotted the score on a goal by Paige Mikula with an assist from Julie Rebh and then took the lead late in the game on a Grace O’Kane goal that was assisted by Sammy Jones.
Council Rock South (11-0, 7-0 SOL) will host Abington on Monday.
