UPPER MERION 3, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 0
Carlye Odorisio had a near quadruple-double with 13 service points, 26 assists, nine kills and nine digs to lead Upper Merion over PW. Carolyn Helinski had 14 kills, and Emma Andraka added 17 digs as Upper Merion raised its league record to 10-0.
WILLIAM TENNENT 3, NESHAMINY 0
The Panthers have once again been hit with the dreaded injury bug. Playing without their leader in kills, sophomore Nicole Long (knee injury), the Panthers swept the Redskins.
Lindsey Snock had a huge game at the net, recording 11 kills and three blocks. Laura Cochrane pounded out eight kills and Shaina Gatton added six. Alexandria Dakota Koppany had 30 assists for the Panthers, who also received strong defensive performances from several of their back row players.
PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 2 (22-25, 18-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-13)
The Rams found themselves down 2-0 after two sets but then staged a heroic comeback to eke out the five-set win.
Steph Judkins had an impressive double-double to lead the Lady Rams, finishing with 25 kills and 18 digs. Rebecca McBride added eight kills and two blocks, and Maddie Mosser had six blocks and five kills. Caitlin Saalfrank led the defense with 20 digs. Setter Jessica Heckler had 42 assists.
ABINGTON 3, NORRISTOWN 0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-15)
Leah Simmons had a big night to lead the Ghosts, finishing with 17 kills, three digs and two aces. Setter Emma Garg had 35 assists and three aces. Also contributing were Claire Gassman (five kills), Hannah Dalton (six kills), Grace Whitney (six kills, two blocks) and Jamie Kidd (14 digs).
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-15)
The Bucks used a balanced attack that was led by Sophia Videva (six kills, four aces, four blocks, eight digs), Katie Hudson (seven kills, two aces, three digs) and Julia Schweibenz (six kills). Schweinbenz led the defense with 20 digs. Setter Kayla King had 29 assists, four kills, nine digs and one block, and Kailey Prall contributed two aces, one kill and 16 digs.
For the Indians, Savannah Bostwick had a match-high 21 digs. Talia Watson added eight digs and two kills. Setter Lauren Hamilton had 14 assists. Also contributing were Miranda Baronett (three kills), Terry Wilcox (three kills), Haley Novak (six digs, three aces) and Riley Strenta (two aces).
UPPER DUBLIN 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-15)
The Flying Cardinals used a total team effort in their sweep of the Lady Panthers. Five players had at least four kills. The Cards received contributions from Mollie Senior with four kills and three digs. Sarah Dennin and Alison Gouveia each had five kills. Gabbi Johnson and Jenny McAneney had eight kills each. Josie Barrett led the defense with 14 digs while Bryn Stek dished out 29 assists, nine digs and four aces.
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 0 (25-6, 25-11, 25-21)
Juniors Birdie Ligos (seven kills, two aces, nine digs), Hadley Grundman (five kills) and Robin Smith (five kills) led a balanced attack in the Indians sweep of the Tigers. Sophomore Mackenzie Tinner had four kills, five aces and one block, and Kaelin Mealey, Alyssa Coats and Danae Barkley each had two kills.
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-14)
For the Golden Hawks, Hannah Devlin (seven assists), Hannah Sullivan (three blocks) and Grace Laggan (five kills) led the way.
NORTH PENN 3, QUAKERTOWN 0
In Wednesday’s defeat, the Panthers were led at the net by Lindsay Beck with eight kills to go along with seven digs and one ace. Ashley Morris led the defense with 16 digs and two kills. Ellie deGruchy had three kills and two blocks, and Casey Cunnane contributed nine digs. Setter Mackenzie Mahler had 13 assists, five digs and one kill.
