COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 2 (18-25, 26-24, 25-18, 15-25, 16-14)
The Golden Hawks earned a hard fought win in a marathon match with the Panthers. Leading the Hawks at the net was Elaina Budny with 10 kills and four blocks. Lauren Koestler added nine kills and two blocks, and Natalie Kazokas contributed eight kills. Also coming up big were setters Hannah Devlin (19 assists, six kills) and Kelsey McGill (21 assists). Grace Laggan (six kills) and Hannah Sullivan (five kills, three blocks) also made important contributions in the big win. Freshman libero Bria DeSar served points 14, 15, and 16 in game five.
PENNRIDGE 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-17)
The Rams used a balanced attack in Friday’s sweep of the Indians. Steph Judkins had nine kills and Krista Hiller added seven. Caitlin Saalfrank led the defense with 17 digs. Setter Jessica Heckler had 20 assists. Maddie Mosser (four kills, six blocks, two aces) and Rebecca McBride (four kills) also contributed.
ABINGTON 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-22)
The Ghosts upped their SOL mark to 6-5 (9-6 overall) with a sweep of their neighboring rivals. Leah Simmons led the Ghosts with 10 kills and five blocks, and Grace Whitney had five kills and two blocks. Hannah Dalton added six kills while Kaylee Goodson had three kills and two aces. Setter Emma Garg had 23 assists and five aces.
PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 1 (25-14, 20-25, 25-16, 25-16)
Leading the Colonials in Friday’s big win over the Hatters were Emilee Waltz (eight aces), Danielle Rippert (16 kills) and Olivia Carbo (26 digs).
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, NESHAMINY 0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-15)
Senior captain Katie Rentz led the Indians with six kills and one ace. Danae Barkley had seven kills, Hadley Grundman added six kills and two aces, Aly Kuiken contributed five kills, and Birdie Ligos had four kills.
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 1
The Patriots, according to coach Scott Geller, found their rhythm in the second set after a slow start.
“Our girls dug down deep and played for each other,” the Patriots’ coach said. “That is one thing that has helped us this year is playing for each other and the group of girls that are on the court. I’m happy for the girls that they got this win.”
Erin Lane led a solid defensive effort with 19 digs and two aces. Natalie Arm (11 digs, 10 kills, four aces) and Krista Helveston (10 digs, 14 kills) both had double-doubles. Jenn Krzeminski had eight kills, three aces and three blocks. Setter Madie D’Angelo had 39 assists, five digs and two aces. Also contributing were Devon Hall (four digs, three kills), Morgan Beakley (three digs) and Kate Woolsey (three kills).

MOUNT ST. JOSEPH ACADEMY 3, PENNSBURY 0 (32-30, 25-21, 25-17)
The Magic won a marathon opening set on their way to a sweep of the Falcons on Thursday. Dagney Gould led the defense with 24 digs while Elle Patterson Ali Zinnen, Julia Vreeswyk and Kate Foley each had eight.
Vreeswyk had a team high 12 kills while Patterson and Zinnen each had six. Vreeswyk also had three service aces. Foley also had 27 assists.
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, NORTH PENN 0 (25-4, 25-14, 25-22)
In Thursday’s sweep of the Maidens, setter Kayla King led the Bucks with 25 assists to go along with three kills, two aces, one block and four digs. Sophie Videva had 11 kills to lead the Bucks at the net. She also had one ace, one block and two digs. Julia Schweibenz had five kills, one block and 10 digs. Katie Hudson (four kills, two aces), Deanna Mattioli (two kills, one block, four digs), Kailey Prall (15 digs) and Jen Martyn (five aces, seven digs) also made important contributions.
