WILLIAM TENNENT 7, PENNSBURY 4
The Panthers picked up their second win in as many games over their former SOL National Conference rivals, rallying for a come-from-behind win over the Falcons on Thursday.
Pennsbury took a 3-0 lead in the first inning and upped that lead to 4-0 in the fourth, but the Panthers came roaring back, knotting the score 4-4 in the bottom of the fourth. They were just getting started, tacking on three more runs in the sixth inning for a 7-4 lead that held until the final out.
Junior Caitlin Mitros was 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs. Senior Cassidy Hubmaster and junior Devon Fithian each had two RBIs as well. Freshman Mackenzie Clee pitched three innings, allowing one hit.
William Tennent (2-0) will be back in action on Tuesday, opening SOL Continental Conference play at home against Central Bucks West.
