Jamie Beer followed with an RBI single to give the Knights the walk-off win.

NORTH PENN 6, DALLAS 5
The Knights took a 6-3 lead into the seventh inning of game two of Saturday’s twinbill only to watch Dallas come roaring back. With the tying run on second base, Mady Volpe relieved starter Rachel Lowery and retired the first two batters she faced to preserve the win while earning the save.
“Rachel pitched a great game but tired out, and Mady came in to strike two girls out with a runner on second base,” coach Rick Torresani said.
Lowery earned the win, allowing four hits and three earned runs in 6.1 innings. She struck out a pair and did not walk a batter.
Victoria Juckniewitz’s 3-for-3 game at the plate led the Knights. She also had an RBI. Giana Costello was 2-for-3. Mady Volpe had a two-run home run.
Saturday’s doubleheader represented the culmination of the Knights’ spring training trip to Orlando, Fla.
“They were great games, and they were exactly what we needed because the two scrimmages we had we 10-runned both teams in five innings,” Torresani said. “I was like, ‘Oh please, let us have one good game down here.’ We got two good ones where we had to come from behind for the win in the seventh inning of the first game, and the second game we had to hold on for the win in the seventh inning.
