CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 2, BOYERTOWN 1
Kylie Kenney tossed a complete game three-hitter to lead the Titans to the win. The Titans’ mound ace struck out nine and walked four.
“Kylie pitched a whale of a game,” coach Kevin Rosini said. “She really stepped up. That’s a good team we beat.”
“It was a really well played game by both teams. We played good defense. It’s a nice way for us to end a long week.”
The Titans scored single runs in the first and third before the Bears scored their one run in the sixth.
Alexa Ortman (2-for-4, run) and Tara Tumasz (2-for-3) led the Titans’ offense. Katie Hines contributed an RBI double, and Maddie McShane continued her productive return to the lineup, collecting a double.
“Her bat is in the lineup every day,” Rosini said of his senior catcher who was part of South’s state runner-up basketball squad. “I know she’s a little tired, but we’ll get her in the lineup somehow. She’s been tremendous.”
Central Bucks South (5-1, 2-1 SOL) will host Central Bucks West on Monday.
