Check out the recaps for SOL softball teams in action on Friday. Fourteen teams were in action. Eight were winners.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 6, PENNSBURY 5 (9 innings)
If ever a coach wanted to forget about a game, it was coach Joe DiFilippo after watching his team cough up a three-run lead and allowing seven runs in the seventh inning of a 21-17 loss to Central Bucks South on Thursday.
“It just wasn’t softball,” the Hatters’ coach said of a contest that included 14 errors. “I talked to them yesterday after the game and told them it was just embarrassing.
“I talked to them today before the game, and I even had (athletic director and former coach) Lou James come out and talk to them because it was just ridiculous. We made a couple of changes.”
The Hatters needed nine innings to win Friday’s game. Maddie Yeager – who led off the inning with a double – raced home with the game winner on a ground ball by Lisa Lang that was bobbled.
Lang, according to her coach, turned in a stellar defensive game at third base.
“Oh my god, what a game she had,” DiFilippo said. “She grabbed a couple of line drives.
“A lot of ground balls were hit to her with Frank (McSherry’s) slappers. She took away that corner completely, took away a couple of bunts that would have been hits. She came up in the ninth inning, and she’s not the strongest of hitters, but she puts her bat on the ball.
“She came up with the bases loaded. I went over to (assistant coach) Jamie (Shaffer) and said, ‘You know, it’s fitting for her to get a shot to win this game.’ She hit a hard ground ball and got a run in. She did what she had to do. She put it in play and got the run in.”
The Falcons took a 3-0 lead in the second and added a run in the fourth. The Hatters cut that lead in half with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Falcons still led 5-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth when the Hatters scored three. Logan Cummings delivered an RBI single to knot the score, setting the stage for extra innings.
Brynn Griffith finished the game 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Britt Hubler was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Yeager was 1-for-4 with a double, and Meg Sonntag was 1-for-4 with a double.
“I just wanted to get back to playing softball again,” DiFilippo said. “It was just nice to play a softball game today.”
The Hatters have scored 104 runs in seven games so far this season and allowed 45.
“In 2011 when we got the state title, we gave up 42 the whole year,” DiFilippo said.
