SOL Liberty Division
QUAKERTOWN 17, ABINGTON 0 (4 inning)
Syd Andrews did it all in Thursday’s mercy rule win. The junior pitcher tossed a four-inning perfect game, striking out nine of the 12 batters she faced. She also was credited with assists on two of the three outs recorded by the Panthers’ defense, fielding bunts and throwing the runners out at first.
If that wasn’t enough, Andrews hit a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth to bring an early end to the game, capping a two-hit, six-RBI game.
The Panthers scored all the runs Andrews would need in the bottom of the first with LauraRose Morelock’s two-run double the big blow in a three-run inning. A three-run third included doubles by Morelock and Andrews.
In the 11-run fourth, Morelock slammed her third double of the game, this one driving in one run. Erin Miller had a two-run double, and Andrews capped an extraordinary performance with her grand slam.
Morelock (3-for-4, 3 2B, 3 RBIs, 1 run) led the Panthers 13-hit attack. Emma Hilton (2-for-3, 4 runs), Mary Wilkinson (2-for-4, 3 RBIs, 2 runs) and Grace Baker (2-for-3, RBI, 1 run) also had multi-hit games.
Quakertown (10-2, 4-1 SOL) will host Lower Moreland on Friday, and Abington (4-6, 0-5) will be on the road at William Tennent on Friday.

NESHAMINY 13, CONWELL-EGAN 0 (5 innings)
The Redskins pounded out 13 hits, the defense turned in a flawless performance, and in the circle, Kennedie Ruth and Mia Barone combined for the one-hit shutout in the abbreviated contest.
A two-run single by Darby Brant that plated Carena Barr and Marone spotted the Redskins a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second. They added three runs in the third. Barone smacked a line drive triple to right that plated Kylie Siwek, who had walked. Kylee Jones made it a 5-0 game, slamming a two-run home run over the left center field fence.
In the fourth inning, the Redskins added two runs, sparked by singles from Barr, Amanda Slabicki and Michelle Baradziej. The game came to an early end in the fifth when the Redskins pushed six more runs across.
“The game ended on an ESPN stop by Maddie Nelson at second base, diving to her right, gathering herself and gunning the runner out at first,” coach Tim Quense said.
Barr (2-for-3), Siwek (2-for-3), Barone (2-for3), Brant (2-for-4) and Slabicki (2-for-3) collected multiple hits for the ‘Skins.’
Ruth, who earned the win, allowed one hit in four shutout innings, striking out nine and walking a pair. Barone tossed a scoreless fifth, striking out a pair.

GWYNEDD MERCY 6, UPPER DUBLIN 3
The Flying Cardinals held a 7-4 advantage in hits, but it was the visiting Monarchs who had the advantage in the only category that mattered – the final score. The Monarchs – who opened up a 6-0 lead before the Cardinals get on the scoreboard – capitalized on UD miscues to score six unearned runs.
For the Cardinals, Kaelin Penna was 2-for-4. Brianna Kesslick was 1-for-1 with an RBI single and a run scored, and Avery Lennon was 1-for-3 with a double.
Chloe Foster pitched well enough to win, allowing four hits and no earned runs while striking out 10 and walking four.
For GMA, Lauren Solvensky was 1-for-4 with a run scored, double and two RBIs. Maddie Seidel was 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. She also notched the win in the circle, allowing seven hits and three runs (unearned) while striking out eight and walking two.
