Check out the recaps for SOL softball teams in action Monday.

Non-league
SOUDERTON 14, ABINGTON 3
The Indians pounded out 17 hits, and Ava Detwiler and Kathryn Jones combined for the win in the circle, limiting the Ghosts to just two hits.
After the Indians put a run on the board in the top of the first, they put some distance between themselves and the Ghosts with a four run third inning.
Leading the offensive charge were Kiera Fadden, Tolentino and Kathryn Jones with three hits each.
By the numbers: Souderton: Kiera Fadden (3-for-5, 1R), Josi Tolentino (3-for-4, HR, 4RBI, 2R), Kathryn Jones (3-for-4, 2B, 1RBI, 1R), Caylee DeSimone (2-for-3, 1RBI, 1R)
Ava Detwiler (W) (4.0 IP, 2H, 3R, 3ER, 3BB, 7K), Kathryn Jones (2.0 IP, 0H, 0R, 2BB, 3K)
Key inning: Bottom of third: The Indians took a 1-0 lead into the third inning when they plated four runs. After Emma Messmer reached base on a one-out error, Josi Tolentino – in a continuation of her recent offensive tear – smashed a two-run home run. Skyler Byrnes followed with a single, Ava Detwiler drew a walk, and Jones singled to center, plating a run. Detwiler scored on a wild pitch to put the Indians on top 5-0 on their way to the win.
Souderton coach Tyler Bui: “We got production from everyone in the lineup today. We collected 17 hits and had a lot of hard-hit balls that Abington made nice plays on today. Our girls have done a good job of being more disciplined at the plate and not chasing bad pitches. This has been the key to our success at the plate in recent weeks. We are also doing a better job of running the bases, and we had a clean game defensively. We still have room for improvement, but our girls work hard, and we are getting better with each day.”
Pitching In: “Ava Detwiler and Kathryn Jones have the third and fourth most innings pitched on our team this year. They stepped in today to combine for a 2-hit complete game. Ava got her first win today by pitching 4 strong innings and striking out 6. Kathryn pitched for the first time this year, threw 2 innings without giving up a hit, and had 3 strikeouts. They are talented players and contribute to our team in multiple ways. Any coach would love to have them on their roster, and I certainly appreciate them.”
Up next: Souderton (15-2, 7-1 SOL) will host Cheltenham Wednesday, and Abington (3-13, 1-6) will host Wissahickon Tuesday.

The Bucks scored two runs in the first, four in the second, six in the third and one more in the fifth and final inning. The Bulldogs were able to push across their lone run in the bottom half of the first inning.
Sophomore Kendall Kornuszko picked up her second win on the season, throwing four full hitless innings and allowing one run (unearned). She struck out six while allowing two walks on the afternoon. She threw a total of 62 pitches in her four innings of work, 36 for strikes.
Laila Murray closed out the game with one scoreless inning in relief, allowing one hit and walking one.
Designated player Ana Glemser took the day off from pitching but made up for it at the plate. Glemser combined her power and speed to contribute two triples to the Bucks cause, while driving in four runs on the afternoon and scoring another run after one of her triples. She also contributed a sacrifice fly RBI in her final at bat on the day.
“Some of the other contributors on offense were Jill Boyle with a single and three runs scored. Boyle also added two RBIs and a stolen base to her stats for the day. Taylor Hooven had an RBI single to right field in the top of the first inning putting the Bucks up 2-0 at the time. Her sister Sam Hooven also contributed an RBI single and drove in her second run with a sacrifice fly RBI to deep left field, scoring Laila Murray who had reached third base on a triple into the left center field gap. Right fielder El Cooper had a single and an RBI on the day and Marley Swain contributed a single and a run scored while playing a solid first base for the Bucks.
By the numbers: Central Bucks West: Ana Glemser (2-for-2, 2 3B, 4RBI, 1R), Hill Boyle (1-for-2, 2RBI, 3R), Sammy Hooven (1-for-2, 2RBI), Taylor Hooven (1-for-3 1RBI), Laila Murray (3B)
Kendall Kornuszko (4.0 IP, 0H 1R, 0ER, 2BB, 6K), Laila Murray (1.0 IP, 1h 0R 0RBI, 1BB, 0K)
Central Bucks West coach Mike Daher: “This was a good win for us today because looking ahead to the weather, we were not sure if we were going to get in any games this week. So, it was great to get the game in and to pick up a win along the way. Hopewell Valley is a very young team, as I do not believe that they have any seniors on the team. They battled us throughout the game and their pitcher did a good job throwing strikes and keeping them in the game.
–Props: “We got good pitching from Kendall Kornuszko, and we were really glad that she was able to give us four solid innings. She has pitched a lot of very effective junior varsity games, so it felt really good seeing her out there winning a game on the varsity level. She is a pitcher with a lot of promise, and we are glad to see her gaining more and more confidence every time she goes out there to pitch. It was really good to see her staying ahead of most of the Hopewell Valley hitters by throwing a lot of strikes early in the count. We have four games over the next seven days, so getting quality innings out of Kendall was important as it gave us an opportunity to rest Ana Glemser today.”
Up next: Central Bucks West (9-7, 2-5 SOL) will host Central Bucks South on Tuesday. The Bucks are 18th in the latest District 1 6A rankings, and the Titans are 12th.
