UPPER MERION 3, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-20)
The Vikings continued to roll through SOL play, earning at sweep at PW on Wednesday. Carolyn Helenski had 20 kills to lead the Vikings at the net. Carlye Odorisio had 35 assists, and Michaela Ghanayem had 23 digs followed by Emma Andraka with 16 digs.
For the Colonials, Danielle Rippert had a double-double with 22 kills and 23 digs. Olivia Carbo had 31 digs, and Bridge McTamney had 31 assists.
WILLIAM TENNENT 3, NESHAMINY 0 (25-10, 25-22, 25-21)
Setter Alexandria Dakota Koppany had a big match for the Panthers, contributing 32 assists, six aces and two kills. The defense, according to coach Brian Bassler, was also terrific with Jamie George (17 digs) and Steph Woolston (12 digs) leading the way. Cadey Weir added 10 digs and four aces while the front row of Nicole Long, Lyndsey Snock and Laura Cochrane combined for 33 kills.
For the Redskins, Miranda Foster had seven kills and seven digs. Olivia Leach added 12 assists and eight digs. Mackenzie Maher had a big night at the net with five kills and seven blocks. Also contributing defensively were Crystal Teoh (12 digs), Brittany Kelly (six digs) and Jillian Willis (nine digs).
ABINGTON 3, NORRISTOWN 2 (25-18, 22-25, 22-25, 26-24, 15-11)
The Ghosts rallied from a 2-1 deficit to earn the hard fought win. Setter Emma Garg was credited with 44 assists. Leah Simmons had a monster night, contributing 21 kills and 16 digs. Claire Gassman added nine kills and 13 digs, and Gwen Lockery had 10 digs. Hannah Dalton contributed six kills, four blocks and eight digs, and Grace Whitney had 10 kills and two blocks.
PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 1 (23-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-16)
The Lady Rams dropped the first set but rallied to win the next three to earn the win over the Titans. Steph Judkins led the Rams with 21 kills, five aces, three blocks and nine digs in a standout all-around effort. Jessica Heckler had 31 assists. Krista Hiller (eight kills, seven aces, 18 digs), Ana Vitantonio (six aces, 11 digs) and Maddie Mosser (nine kills, three blocks) also made important contributions. Caitlin Saalfrank led the defense with 20 digs.
NORTH PENN 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-19)
The visiting Maidens rolled to a sweep of the Panthers, who received four kills from Skylar Lee and two kills, three aces and six digs from Lindsay Beck. Alisa Buonanno led the defense with seven digs.
UPPER DUBLIN 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-8, 25-15, 25-17)
The Flying Cardinals used a total team effort in their sweep of the Lady Panthers as seven players contributed at least three kills. Jenny McAneney led the attack with nine kills. Josie Barrett led the defense with 12 digs while Bryn Stek and Mollie Senior led the Cardinals in aces with six and four respectively.
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, SOUDERTON 1 (25-17, 23-25, 25-16, 25-15)
The Bucks remain undefeated in conference play with their win over the Indians. The Bucks were led at the net by Sophie Videva (11 kills, two aces, four blocks, four digs), Katie Hudson (nine kills, nine digs) and Julia Schweibenz (eight kills, 14 digs). Setter Kayla King had a big night, finishing with four kills, three aces, 35 assists and 11 digs. Kailey Prall contributed defensively with 12 digs while April Neeld (two kills, two aces, 11 digs) and Deanna Mattioli (four kills, five digs, two blocks) also contributed.”
For the Indians, Savannah Bostwick had another big night defensively, contributing 26 digs. Setter Talia Watson had 22 assists and three aces. Contributing at the net were Tori Reiner (eight kills, two blocks), Monica Miller (six kills, five digs), Hannah Fairweather (four kills, two blocks) and Melissa Gould (four kills, three blocks).
DOWNINGTOWN WEST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2
The Patriots gave the Whippets all they could handle before falling in the five-set match. Krista Helveston had a big night for the Patriots, contributing 12 kills, six aces and 15 digs. Natalie Arm (seven kills, five aces, 14 digs) also turned in a strong all-around performance. Julia Gallagher (four kills, three blocks), Jenn Krzeminski (five kills, four blocks, two digs) and Kate Woolsey (four kills, three digs) also contributed. Erin Lane led the defense with 24 digs, and setter Madie D’Angelo had 36 assists to go along with four aces and seven digs.
