UPPER MERION 3, ABINGTON 0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-17)
The Vikings’ attack was led by Carolyn Helenski (10 kills) and Emma Andraka (six kills). Setter Carlye Odorisio had 17 assists and five aces while Tori Wright and Micaela Ghanayem each had four aces.
For the Ghosts, Leah Simmons led the way with 16 kills and three digs. Claire Gassman added four kills and two aces. Jamie Kidd led the defense with 11 digs and three assists. Hannah Dalton (five kills) and Grace Whitney (three blocks) also contributed.
UPPER DUBLIN 3, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 2 (25-21, 13-25, 25-23, 24-26, 15-12)
UD coach Paul Choi credited the Colonials’ defense for extending the Cardinals to the limit in Tuesday’s marathon SOL match.
“PW did an incredible job in their defense, making it very difficult for UD to side out,” Choi said. “They did a good job in keeping our side out of system as much as possible.
“I give my team a lot of credit for never giving up and always fighting in these tough five-set matches. They really came together when needed
and received important contributions from our middies.”
The offense received contributions from Alison Bouveia and Sarah Dennin with six kills each. Gabbi Johnson had eight kills, two aces and 24 digs in a clutch performance. Jenny McAneney had another huge night, finishing with a double-double – 15 kills, 20 digs and three aces. Gianna Perri had 12 digs, and Josie Barrett added 14. Bryn Stek had a busy match dishing out 39 assists while also delivering 28 digs. She also had two kills and two aces.
For the Colonials, Danielle Rippert (23 kills) and Olivia Carbo (four aces, 36 digs) turned in monster performances.
PENNSBURY 3, NESHAMINY 0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-12)
The Falcons used a balanced attack in their sweep of the Redskins. Julia Vreeswyk led the way with six kills, and Elle Patterson had five. Sydney French had four digs. Setter Kate Foley had 10 assists, and Sydney Buell added eight assists.
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-17)
Danae Barkley turned in a dominant offensive effort, finishing with nine kills on 11 attempts to go along with three blocks. Hadley Grundman had eight kills, three blocks and three digs. Birdie Ligos had seven kills, two aces and 10 digs. Katie Rentz (five kills, one ace, three digs), Aly Kuiken (one kill, one block) and Maddy Moore (two aces, nine digs) also contributed.
PENNRIDGE 3, NORTH PENN 2 (16-25, 25-16, 25-19, 26-28, 15-11)
The Lady Rams earned a hard fought win over the Maidens in five sets. Steph Judkins finished with a double-double, contributing 20 kills, 13 digs and three blocks. Caitlin Saalfrank had 13 digs. Krista Hiller had a team-high 16 digs to go along with six kills. Jessica Heckler added 26 assists. Maddie Mosser had seven blocks and five kills.
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-12)
Terry Wilcox (13 digs) and Savannah Bostwick (12 digs) led the Indians defensively. Wilcox also had three kills. Megan Pirtle had 10 kills and three aces, Melissa Gould added four kills and four blocks. Kathleen Winters added two digs and two aces. Setter Lauren Hamilton had 19 assists and eight digs.
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, QUAKERTOWN 0
The Patriots rebounded from Monday’s loss to Archbishop Wood to sweep the Panthers.
“We were able to clean up a lot of our play and help get us back to the level we’ve been playing at all year,” coach Scott Geller said.
Natalie Arm (11 kills, three aces, three digs), Krista Helveston (eight kills, four aces, seven digs) and Jenn Krzeminski (six kills, five aces) led a balanced attack. Madie D’Angelo had 29 assists and two aces, Erin Lane led the defense with 13 digs, and Kate Woolsey had three kills and two digs.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, WEST CHESTER EAST 1 (25-15, 25-17, 24-26, 25-21)
The Indians earned a hard fought non-league win on Monday with the seniors leading the way.
Katie Rentz had a team-high 17 kills to go along with one ace, four blocks and nine digs, and Aly Kuiken added six kills and one block. Danae Barkley contributed eight kills and three blocks. Junior Hadley Grundman had a big night with 15 kills, two aces and two blocks. Birdie Ligos had eight kills, four aces and 20 digs. Setter Johanna Batterton had 47 assists. Sophomore Maddy Moore had 18 digs, and Grace Schweizer added 14 digs.
The Indians improved to 8-5 overall (5-2 SOL).
ABINGTON 3, ST. BASIL ACADEMY 0 (25-7, 25-19, 27-25)
Leah Simmons (15 kills, six aces, four blocks) and Claire Gassman (11 kills, two aces, two blocks) had big nights at the net to lead the Ghosts. Jamie Kidd sparked the defense with 14 digs to go along with two aces and three assists. Setter Emma Garg had 34 assists, four digs and two aces. Hannah Dalton (four kills, two blocks) and Grace Whitney (two kills, two blocks) also contributed.
HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, METHACTON 2 (21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 16-25, 15-12)
The Hatters picked up an impressive non-league win, edging the Warriors in a five-set match.
Holly Owen had a big night for the Hatters, contributing 19 kills, four aces and six digs, and Cassidy Quattro matched those numbers with a huge night of her own, finishing with 19 kills, two aces, one block and five digs. Setter Kat Yankanich had six kills, five aces, 26 assists and 10 digs, and Allison Laucella led the defense with 22 digs.
CHRISTOPHER DOCK 3, WISSAHICKON 0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-12)
Serving was a key in Dock’s sweep of the Trojans. Becca Timmerman led the charge with eight aces. Daphne Hunsinger had five. In supporting roles, Molly Hand, Carsyn McCloskey, Avery Geistdorfer and Nicole Bartle each added one ace.
Offensively, Dock was led by Lanae Hunsberger with 12 kills. Daphne Hunsinger had five kills while Becca Timmerman and Courtney Herm each had three kills.
