National Conference
PENNSBURY 38, PENNRIDGE 32
The Falcons were on their way to a rout. Or so it seemed when they opened up a 38-6 lead at the 9:16 mark of the third quarter after Mike Alley found Daulton Hose with a 17-yard touchdown strike and then made good on the two-point conversion.
Apparently no one told the Rams they had no business trying to battle their way back into game, and before the third quarter had ended, they had trimmed that once commanding 32-point lead to a manageable nine points (38-29). They had a chance to get even closer, but with the Rams on the Falcons’ 10-yard line, Nedzad Ibric came up with an interception in the end zone to save the day for the suddenly reeling Falcons.
The first half belonged to the Falcons, Chris Rupprecht’s 37-yard touchdown run was followed by a 55-yard TD scamper by Rob Daly, and the Falcons led 14-0. That lead grew to 22-0 after a Mike Alley 40-yard touchdown run and ensuing two-point conversion.
The Rams interrupted the Falcons’ tear when Judens DesRosiers took it in from 12 yards out with 2:44 remaining in the opening half. But the Falcons weren’t finished yet, and an Alley TD pass to Vinnie Ratamess sent them into halftime with a 30-6 lead. The Falcons suffered a major loss in the opening half when senior standout Luke Snyder went down with an injury and was sidelined for a part of the second half.
Pennsbury went on to open up a 38-6 lead, but a 12-yard Devon Balmer TD run with eight minutes remaining in the third quarter marked the beginning of a remarkable Ram comeback attempt. The Rams recovered an on-sides kick, and less than a minute later, Ryan Gordon took it in from 22 yards out.
A Falcon fumble set the stage for a Matt Mauer 39-yard field goal, and suddenly it was a 38-23 game as the Rams scored 17 points in less than three minutes. A Balmer touchdown pass with 58 seconds remaining in the quarter made it a 38-29 game, but the Rams would get no closer until a late-game field goal by Mauer.
Pennsbury (6-1, 4-0 SOL) will host North Penn next Friday in a conference showdown, and Pennridge (4-3, 2-2) will host Central Bucks South.
Pennsbury 14-16-8-0 38

NORTH PENN 55, BENSALEM 20
The Knights scored early and often, opening up a 27-0 lead after one quarter and going into halftime with a 42-6 advantage.
After the Knights recovered a fumble, Reece Udinski found Ricky Johns with a 54-yard touchdown pass, and in a game of big plays for the Knights, Justin Ostopowicz took it in from 60 yards out. Johns returned a fumble 50 yards for a TD, and a 35-yard Ostopowicz run put the Knights on top 27-0. Another Udinski to Johns touchdown pass made it 35-0 game before the Owls got on the scoreboard with a five-yard TD run by Malcolm Cary. When Tyler Gillet took it in from one yard out, the Knights led 42-6 on their way to the lopsided win.
North Penn (5-2, 4-0 SOL) will travel to Pennsbury next Friday for a battle of the conference’s lone unbeaten squads. Bensalem (0-7, 0-4) will travel to Neshaminy.

NESHAMINY 21, SOUDERTON 10
The Indians trailed by just a 14-10 score in the second half of Friday’s game at Heartbreak Ridge, but the Redskins sealed the Indians’ fate when Will Dogba took it in from six yards out with time winding down.
It was Dogba putting the Redskins on the scoreboard with a seven-yard touchdown run. In the second quarter, the ‘Skins opened up a 14-0 lead after quarterback Mason Jones punched it in from one yard out. They took that lead into halftime, but the Indians battled back.
Blake Gular’s 36-yard touchdown run made it a 14-7 game, and when Nate Verso connected on a 30-yard field goal, the Indians trailed by just four (14-10). They would get no closer as the Redskins held on for the win.
Dogba – who is just 76 yards away from the 1,000-yard plateau – was a workhorse for the Redskins, carrying the ball 34 times for 165 yards and two TDs.
Dave Nuckles and Harmon Yalartai led the 'Skins defensively. Yalartai had a hand in seven takles with five solo tackles and 2.5 for a loss. Nuckles had six solo tacks. Parker Minotti had five solo tackles with one tackle for a loss.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 34, ABINGTON 25
In a contest that featured close to 750 yards of total offense, the Titans prevailed.
The two teams exchanged first quarter touchdowns with the Titans clinging to a slim 7-6 lead after a failed
two-point conversion by the Ghosts. South opened up a 21-6 lead after a pair of second quarter touchdown runs – the first from two yards out by Sam Thompson and the second on a nine-yard Joe Bechta run. A David Kretschman touchdown pass to Jake Hural made it a 21-12 game at the intermission.
Abington made things interesting when Kretschman found George Reid with a touchdown pass in the third quarter, trimming the Titans lead to 21-19. Back-to-back touchdown runs by Nate Norris put the Titans on top 34-19.
Both Bechta and Thompson rushed for more than 100 yards while Norris finished with 99 yards. Kretschman threw for 214 yards to lead the Ghosts.
Central Bucks South (3-4, 2-2 SOL) will travel to Pennridge next Friday, and Abington (0-7, 0-4) will be on the road at Souderton.

Another seven-yard touchdown run by Burns put the Panthers on top 21-0 in the third quarter before Eddie Shields broke up their shutout bid when he found Jake Reichwein with a 25-yard touchdown pass to make it a 21-7 game in the fourth quarter.

Brandon Patterson took the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, and the Golden Hawks were off and running. At the end of one quarter, they led 20-0 and took a 33-0 lead into the intermission before putting the mercy rule into effect in the third quarter.
When Brandon Broe took it in from two yards out, the Hawks had an early 14-0 lead, and they stretched that lead to 20-0 after Patterson punched it in from the one. Patterson’s third TD run – this one for three yards – made it a 26-0 game, and a 20-yard Broe touchdown scamper sent the Hawks into halftime with a commanding 33-0 lead. Elias Mayo’s 42-yard touchdown run on South’s first drive of the fourth quarter closed out the scoring for both sides.

CHELTENHAM 26, SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 7
The Panthers notched their second in as many weeks, thanks in no small part to the strong showing of Branden Mack. The senior quarterback threw for 120 yards and ran for 83 more to lead the Panthers.
It was Mack finding Matt Tuszi with a 36-yard scoring strike to put the Panthers on top 6-0. The Spartans took their first and only lead (7-6) after Justin Hill took it in from two yards out. The Panthers regained the lead late in the quarter when Mack scored on a 12-yard run. The successful two-point conversion sent the Panthers into halftime with a 14-7 lead.
The Panthers tacked on a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter. Yasin Abdul-Haqq raced 43 yards for the score, and another Abdul-Haqq TD run – this one from seven yards out – gave the Panthers a 26-7 lead that held until the final horn.

UPPER MORELAND 22, UPPER MERION 21 (OT)
The Golden Bears – fresh off their upset of Plymouth Whitemarsh – needed a two-point conversion in overtime to edge a gutsy Viking squad.
The Vikings scored on their first possession of OT when Isaiah Graham-Mobley found Alex Panichi with a 10-yard touchdown pass. The PAT put the Vikings on top 21-14. Casey Decker answered with a TD pass to Ryan Norton, and the Golden Bears won it when Rodney Morgan ran it in for the two-point conversion.
Earlier, the Vikings took a 3-0 lead on a Botros Barsoum field goal, but the Bears went on top 7-3 after Casey Decker found Norton with a 25-yard TD pass. The Bears upped that lead to 14-3 when Morgan scored from 26 yards. The Bears took that lead into the fourth quarter when the Vikings rallied to knot the score. Graham-Mosley scored on a 35-yard run. Barsoum’s 30-yard field goal in the final seconds of regulation knotted the score, setting the stage for overtime.
Upper Moreland (6-1, 3-1 SOL) will host Upper Dublin next Friday, and Upper Merion (2-5, 0-4) will host Springfield.

A pair of touchdown runs in the opening quarter – the first by Robert Fitzgerald for two yards and the second a 61-yard scamper by Calvin Broaddus – put the Hatters on top 14-0. Back-to-back touchdown runs by Jordan Mason – for three and then 56 yards – stretched the Hatters lead to 28-0. When Brandon Crews hauled in a six-yard Casey Walsh TD pass, the Hatters led 35-0, and the mercy rule was in effect.
