WISSAHICKON 58, HATBORO-HORSHAM 45
The Hatters had a great start in Friday’s conference showdown, but the Trojans had an even better finish. Hatboro-Horsham raced out of the gate to a 17-10 lead after one quarter and took a 25-20 lead into the second half. The Hatters still led 39-36 heading into the final quarter when the Trojans seized control, closing out the game with an impressive 22-6 tear and handing the Hatters their first conference loss.
Shane Ford led a balanced Trojan attack with 14 points and Chaz Owens added 10. Donovan Oliphant had nine points while Zach Gelman and Zach Reiner both contributed six points.
For the Hatters, Clifton Moore had a double-double, scoring 17 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Jay Davis had 15 points and five steals.
Both teams had nine two-point field goals, but the Trojans connected on nine shots from beyond the arc while the Hatters had just three. Six different players buried shots from long range for the Trojans with Owens, Oliphant, Gelman and Ford each connecting on a pair.
Wissahickon (3-2, 2-1 SOL) will compete in the Perkiomen Valley Shoot-Out on Tuesday and Wednesday, opening with Perk Valley on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Hatboro-Horsham (4-2, 3-1) will compete in the Triangle Club Tournament at Norristown, opening with a game against Norristown on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The Colonials took care of business on Friday night at Upper Dublin, opening up a 17-8 lead after one quarter and extending that to 35-14 by halftime. PW limited the Cardinals to single digits in each of the four quarters.
Matt Walker led a balanced PW attack with 14 points. Ish Horn added 12, and Naheem McLeod had 11.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (5-0, 2-0 SOL) will begin play Wednesday in the Palm Beaches National Basketball Classic in West Palm Beach, Fla. Upper Dublin (0-5, 0-2) will face Great Valley on Tuesday (7 p.m.) in an opening round game of the Great Valley Holiday Tournament.

NORTH PENN 53, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 39
The Knights made it a clean sweep of Friday’s girls/boys doubleheader with a win over their crosstown rivals.
Sparked by seven points from Ricky Johns – who led all scorers with 23 points, the Knights jumped out to a 15-10 lead after one quarter, but the Crusaders rallied to knot the score 23-23 at halftime. Johns scored eight points in a third quarter that saw the Knights outscore their visitors 11-6 to go on top 34-29. The Crusaders rallied to knot the score in the fourth quarter, but the Knights won it at the foul line, converting 15-of-25 from the charity stripe. AJ Mitchell was a near-perfect 5-of-6 from the line in the final quarter while Johns and Noah Kwortnik both converted four foul shots. For the game, the Knights were 22-of-35 from the foul line while their counterparts were 7-of-11.
In addition to Johns, Kwortnik added seven points and David Giuliani had six points.
Mike Ottomano led LC with 16 points.
North Penn (5-2, 2-0 SOL) will face Methacton on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in an opening round game of the Perkiomen Valley Shoot-Out.
