NORTH PENN 44, UPPER MORELAND 32
The Knights made it a sweep of Saturday’s SOL Challenge doubleheader, following the girls’ win over Upper Dublin with a non-league win of their own.
After one quarter, the Knights led by just an 11-9 score but put some distance between themselves and the Golden Bears with a 14-4 second quarter to go into halftime with a 25-13 lead. AJ Catanzaro buried a pair of three-pointers in the second quarter, and Noah Kwortnik had all six of his points in the first half to lead the Knights.
Sparked by five points from Damian Washington and four from Shane Stone, the Golden Bears cut into the Knights’ lead in the third quarter, outscoring their hosts 13-7 to make it a 32-26 game. The Knights buried 6-of-8 foul shots in the fourth quarter – led by Lance Ford’s 3-for-4 effort – and outscored the Bears 12-7 to earn the win.
Ford- who had a pair of threes – led a balanced Knight attack with 11 points. Chris Coleman added seven while Catanzaro, David Giuliani and Kwortnik each added six points.
Stone’s 12 points led the Golden Bears. Washington added eight points.
North Penn (9-3, 4-0 SOL) will host Pennridge on Tuesday, and Upper Moreland (6-5, 2-3) will be on the road at Upper Moreland on Tuesday.

PENNRIDGE 52, WISSAHICKON 44
Jon Post delivered another big offensive performance for the Rams, scoring a game high 20 points on the heels of his 16-point effort one night earlier in a win over William Tennent.
Ryan Kinky added eight points in a contest that saw sophomore point guard Sean Yoder limited to just six points.
The Rams opened up a 15-10 lead after one quarter but led by just one at halftime. That advantage disappeared in the third quarter, but the Rams closed it out with a 19-10 fourth quarter.
Max Rapoport led the Trojans with 14 points. Chaz Owens added eight and Shane Ford, seven points.
For the Trojans, Saturday afternoon’s contest was their third in three days. On Thursday, they defeated Central Bucks East in quadruple overtime, followed that with a road win at Upper Moreland on Friday and then travelled to Pennridge on Saturday morning.
Pennridge (6-6, 2-3 SOL) will be on the road at North Penn on Tuesday, and Wissahickon (5-6, 3-2) will host Springfield on Tuesday.

SOUDERTON 61, BOYERTOWN 50
Mike Bealer was all but unstoppable in Saturday’s non-league game at Boyertown, burying six three-pointers en route to a game high 28 points. Bealer’s stellar performance propelled the Indians to a win that brought a welcome end to a five-game skid.
The Indians exploded out of the gate. They led 20-12 after one quarter and extended that advantage to 41-21 by halftime, all but equaling their offensive output for the entire game in Friday night’s loss to Central Bucks West.
DJ Landis added 11 points, and Kaleaf Blackwood had six in a contest that saw nine Souderton players put their names in the scoring column.
Souderton (4-7, 1-3 SOL) will travel to William Tennent on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 60, ACADEMY PARK 53
Jake Reichwein, Shane McCusker and Collin MacAdams accounted for 52 of West’s points in Saturday’s non-league win. Reichwein led the way with 22 points, five assists and four rebounds while McCusker also came up big with 17 points and a team high eight rebounds. MacAdams added 13 points and five rebounds.
West led by just one at the intermission (31-30), and it was still a one-point game after both teams scored 14 in the third quarter. The Bucks put the game away with a 15-9 fourth quarter.
Nick Simmons shared game scoring honors with Reichwein as both players scored 22 points.
Central Bucks West (7-4, 4-1 SOL) will host Boys Latin School in a non-league contest on Wednesday.

In a battle of conference leaders, it was a Golden Knights – who have not lost in Chesmont American Division play – edging the SOL American Conference leaders.
Rustin led 18-11 after one quarter and took a 28-21 lead into halftime. Horn accounted for eight of PW’s first-half points. The Colonials – behind a pair of Jason Paul three-pointers – trimmed three points off that lead in the third quarter to make it a 42-38 game. They outscored the Knights by three in the final frame but came up just short.
Horn, who was a perfect 4-for-4 at the foul line, led the Colonials with 13 points, Paul added 12 points on four three-pointers. Ahmin Williams (10 points), Ahmad Williams (eight points) and Naheem McLeod (seven) also contributed to the balanced attack. The Colonials were without Cheo Houston (illness).
Rustin’s Jake Nelson led all scorers with 20 points.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (9-2, 4-0 SOL) will travel to Quakertown on Tuesday.
