SPRINGFIELD 6, GERMANTOWN FRIENDS 5
The Spartans won their second game in as many days, this time eking out a non-league win over Germantown Friends.
Jackson Pauwels was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs. Tim Dahne was 1-for-3 with a home run, and Robert DeMerlis had a pair of doubles – the second driving in a run in the bottom of the sixth that capped the two-run frame and proved to be the game winner.
The Spartans led 2-0 after one inning, but GFS went on top 3-2 after a three-run fifth. Springfield scored a pair in the bottom of the inning to go back on top by one. The two teams exchanged two-run innings in the sixth.
Springfield (2-0) will host Bishop McDevitt on Wednesday.

EVANSTON 9, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3
John Pecharo had a big day for the Colonials, going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in a contest that saw Evanston hold a 15-7 advantage in hits.
Evanston opened up an early lead, and the Colonials spent the rest of the game playing catch-up. Evanston scored two runs in both the first and second. The Colonials cut that lead in half with two runs in the third and made it a 4-3 game with a single run in the fifth. Evanston answered with a single run in the bottom of the fifth and put the game out of reach with four more in the sixth.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (1-1) will wrap up its trip in Dodgertown with a contest against Roman Catholic on Sunday.
