Boys
SOUDERTON 13, NESHAMINY 9
Jake Phaup played a starring role in the Indians second win in as many outings, dominating the face-off circle and winning 22-of-24 face-offs.
For good measure, Phaup also added a goal, but it was Stephen Blue who stole the spotlight on attack, finishing with five goals and one assist. Trent Breneman added two goals and two assists, and Walker Martin also had a pair of goals. Adam Booz had one goal and one assist. Adding single goals were Cole Witoslawski and Jake Portolese.
Axell Beskar recorded six saves in a winning effort in goal for the Indians.
PENNSBURY 21, GEORGE SCHOOL 6
Ryan Kelly had a huge night for the Falcons. He not only had a hand in 10 goals – finding the net six times and assisting on four others – he also had five ground balls. Ben Abraham also had a big game, finishing with four goals, two assists and four ground balls. Nick Sutton and Ryan Michael both added two goals and one assist. Will Anderson also had a pair of goals. Cole Ruoff had one goal to go along with four assists, and Tre Raniello added one goal and two assists and also had five ground balls. Gavin Fleming, Bryse Raniello and Jake Krefetz each had one goal. Raniello led the defense with 12 ground balls. Justin Hernandez had six ground balls while Ethan Glynn had five.
Pennsbury goalie Tim Davis turned away 10 of 16 shots he faced.
UPPER DUBLIN 18, HARRY S TRUMAN 0
The Cardinals received contributions up and down their lineup. Jed Hanson (five goals, three assissts) and Zach Young (two goals, five assists) led the way. Sanjay Foster (two goals, three assists) and Max Winebrake (one goal, four assists) both had a hand in five goals. Cary Romig added two goals and one assist, Brian McCarry had two goals and Jason Williams added one goal and one assist. Contributing one goal each were Colin Asper, Derick Lawson and Tom Petrucci.
Nolan Reape won 16-of-22 face-offs and also had six ground balls. Winebrake, Romig and Malik Bootman each had five ground balls. Sam Hoffman turned away all four shots he faced in goal in the shutout win.
Girls
CHELTENHAM 15, LOWER MORELAND 4
Marycait Dorley had herself a day on Wednesday. The Lady Panthers’ two-year captain – who will take her talents to Millersville University next year – scored seven goals, including the 100th goal of her career.
“Marycait is a leader on and off the field,” coach Didi Dean said. “She has a real passion for the sport and is our offensive stronghold.
“She is a hard worker and makes everyone around her better as well.”
The Lady Panthers raced out of the gate to a 7-1 halftime lead. Liza Becker had two goals and an assist while Carissa Dorley added two goals. Amber Turner had a goal and an assist. Dana Shelton, Corrine Packel and Brianna Young each added single goals with Young – a defender – going the full length of the field for her goal.
“Liza – along with Dana Shelton and Amber Turner – worked hard in the midfield,” Dean said.
Cheltenham goalie Morgan Sloan recorded six saves.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 6, HATBORO-HORSHAM 5
The Patriots evened their early season record at 1-1 with a hard-fought win over the Hatters.
Whitney Dietz scored a pair of goals while Riley Forman, Kayla Bartl, Maggie Vetter and Brigitte Bishop each added single goals.
For the Hatters, Gwen Acker and Kaitlyn Wallace both scored a pair of goals while Gabby Acker added one goal.
East goalie Lauren Maurer was credited with eight savs.
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 12, WISSAHICKON 4
Bryn Boylan scored four goals in a stellar performance for the Bucks.
“Bryn had a great game with three caused turnovers and a 71 percent shooting percentage,” coach Tara Schmucker said.
Dani Dundas played a role in four goals, scoring a pair and assisting on two others. Kelly O’Callaghan also had two goals. Maddie Maio had one goal and two assists while Finley Ueland and Liv Fitzgerald both added a single goal. Lucy Varner chipped in an assist.
“Casey Reichwein had an amazing 12 draw controls,” Schmucker said. “Meghan Darcy, Rachel Shaw, Lucy Varner and Abby Fennell had great defensive games, each with at least one caused turnover and a ground ball.”
Emily Vervlied and Caroline Wilde both scored two goals for the Trojans.
West goalie Lauren Devlin was credited with three saves.

NORTH PENN 15, NESHAMINY 6
Kaitlyn Phifer, Bri O’Donnell, Julia Keffer and Kelly MacNamara each collected a hat trick to lead a balanced Knight attack in Wednesday’s non-league contest. Kristin Varilla, Victoria Brauenle and Morgan Bideau had one goal apiece, and Kate Winstanley added an assist for the Knights, who took a 10-3 lead into halftime.
“This was a nice team effort for North Penn,” coach Heather Mellow said. “With lot of different people scoring and getting playing time.
“I would have liked to have seen more assists, but we will take the win after yesterday’s tough loss. (Elana) Donato and (Katie) Denis did a nice job for Neshaminy – fought hard to the end.”
Denis led the Redskins with four goals while Kelsey Goetz and Mia Sexton both had one goal.
North Penn 10-5 15

CARDINAL O’HARA 13, SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP 12
The Spartans lost a heartbreaker in non-league play, but the loss could not diminish the standout effort of Lindsey Smith, who scored six goals and also had three draw controls. Ellie Hamilton and Sophia Perry both had two goals and two assists. Jameson Krewson added a goal and an assist, and Emily Walsh had one goal, two caused turnovers, three ground balls and three draw controls in a strong all-around outing. Goalie Emily Henry recorded six saves in goal for the Spartans.
BISHOP SHANAHAN 9, ABINGTON 2
Kiki Brasher had 12 saves in a solid performance in goal, but the Eagles effectively shut down the Ghosts’ offense.
Sam McGee and Kaley Enhow accounted for the team’s only goals. Both also had a draw control, and McGee was credited with a caused turnover. Cathy Staerk had two ground balls, and Jordan Campbell had one caused turnover. Morris added one assist, two ground balls and a caused turnover. Hinkle and Gable each had a ground ball.
