CENTRAL BUCKS 9, NORTH PENN 8
The Knights, who trailed 6-4 at halftime, gave the Patriots all they could handle, holding their hosts scoreless in the third quarter and scoring a pair of goals to knot the score 6-6 heading into the final frame. The Patriots edged the Knights 3-2 to eke out the win.
Ryan Schmidt’s hat trick led the Patriots.. Ryan Brown added two goals and an assist, and Mike Ott had two goals. Alec Bracken contributed a goal and an assist while Ryan Stout had a single goal. Brant Billingsly had a pair of assists.
Ott scooped up 13 grounds balls to lead the Patriots. Bryan McIntosh had four ground balls, and contributing two each were Jake Ventresca, Jake Kueny, Ryan Stout and Collin Stein. Billingsly, Joe Thiroway and John Galow ahd one each.
McIntosh had four caused turnovers and Billingsly had three. Ventresca, Drew Bethke, Thiroway and Galow added one each.
Liam Rosenthal recored seven saves in the win.
For the Knights, Reece Udinski had part in five goals, scoring one and assisting on four others. Eric Diamond had two goals and one assist, and Max Lehrman had two goals. Danny Payne, Jake Nelson and Matt Dickson each had one goal.
North Penn goalie Matt Rinck recorded nine saves.
Central Bucks East (7-2, 3-0 SOL) will be on the road at Pennridge on Tuesday, and North Penn (6-3, 2-1) will be on the road at Central Bucks South on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 12, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 10
Central Bucks South celebrated senior night with a toughly fought victory over league rival Council Rock South.
Leading the Titans on the scoreboard was senior Ian Vogt with three goals. Fellow seniors Danny Mignonga (two goals) and Justin Abbonizio (one goal, one assist) helped with a balanced attack. Rounding out the scoring was Dante Poli with two goals and three assists, Austin Novick with one goal and two assists, Colin Abbonizio with two goals and Dylan Grosso netting one goal.
On the defensive end, senior Chris Surina led CB South with three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Fellow seniors helping out on the defensive end were Jake Druce with two ground balls and Joe Gannon with one ground ball. Poli finished with three ground balls and one caused turnover, Evan Quinn two ground balls, and Mignonga, Novick, Colin Abbonizio and DJ LoVerdi all with one ground ball.
Senior goaltender Brad Ross fended off nine shots and scooped up three ground balls.
Central Bucks South (5-4, 2-1 SOL) will host Archbishop Wood in a non-league game on Monday, and Council Rock South (4-1, 1-1) will host Hatboro-Horsham in a non-league game on Saturday.
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 7, PENNSBURY 4
The visiting Bucks, who led 2-1 after one quarter, took a 3-2 lead into halftime. They still led by just one after three quarters before outscoring their host 3-1 in the final quarter to earn the hard fought win.
Mike Samson scored two goals and assisted on two others to lead a balanced attack. Contributing one goal each were Erik Ojert, Joey Rockovich, Shane Early, Ben Sexauer and Brandon Gervais. Ojert, Rockovich and Sexauer each added an assist.
Garrett Hitchens won 11-of-15 face-offs. Nick Werner was credited with six ground balls.
For the Falcons, Ben Abraham had a pair of goals. Nick Sutton had a goal and also scooped up three ground balls. Ryan Kelly added a goal and an assist. Bryce Raniello also had three ground balls.
Pennsbury goalie Tim Davis kept his team in it with 13 saves. CB West took 32 shots to just 12 for the Falcons.
“Tim played outstanding in net for us,” coach Drew Artin said.
Central Bucks West (6-2, 3-0 SOL) will host Holy Ghost Prep on Saturday in a non-league contest, and Pennsbury (2-6, 0-2) will be on the road at Neshaminy on Tuesday.

QUAKERTOWN 9, CHELTENHAM 8 (OT)
Jeffrey Royall scored a goal with 1:40 remaining in the first overtime period to propel the visiting Panthers to their second overtime win of the season.
“We started overtime, and we were a man down,” coach Jeff Royall said. “They had possession of the ball, but we took the ball away and came back down, moved the ball around.
“They got the ball to Jeffrey – he slipped and fell and had two defenders on top of him. He got up between the two defenders, cranked a shot and scored the winning goal.”
For Quakertown, which earned a 6-5 overtime win in last year’s meeting between the two teams, winning in OT is becoming an annual event.
“I was hoping we weren’t going to have to have overtime today, but we were matched pretty good,” coach Royall said. “We were down some key varsity players.
“We had a couple who are in band, we have a couple that are hurt, and one of our good shooters are out with a concussion. We brought up a couple of junior varsity guys, and I’ll tell you what – I’m proud of these guys. They did real well.”
Quakertown found itself on the short end of a 5-3 score at halftime. The visiting Panthers still trailed by two heading into the final quarter (7-5) when they rallied to knot the score on a goal by Jake Lewis with two minutes remaining in regulation.
Royall led the Panthers with three goals, including the game winner. Frank Claus also had a hat trick. Jacob Barndt had one goal and one assist. Christian Morano and Ben Mcgann both had an assist.
Gavin Hilleart had eight face-off wins.
“Every one of our players did great,” coach Royall said. “They all pulled it together tight and did good, and I’m proud of them.”
Tim McHugh had a big game for Cheltenham with seven goals. Colin Boyle added a goal and Jacque Fisher had one assist. Daniel Lee won 9-of-15 face-offs. Cheltenham goalie Harvey Miller had nine saves.
Quakertown (4-4, 1-2 SOL) will host Plymouth Whitemarsh on Tuesday, and Cheltenham (4-6, 0-3) will host Springfield Township on Tuesday.

UPPER DUBLIN 16, ABINGTON 4
The Flying Cardinals led 7-0 after one quarter and extended that lead to 12-1 by halftime on their way to the no-doubt-about-it win.
Jerry Bardol led the Cardinals’ explosive attack with four goals and four assists. Sanjay Foster added four goals while Max Winebrake had three goals and one assist. Jason Williams added two goals and one assist, and Jed Hanson had one goal and two assists. Cary Romig and Derik Lawson both had one goal.
Nick Sowers scooped up five ground balls and had two caused turnovers. Lucas Roselli had four ground balls and Jake DiMartile, three ground balls.
Lucas Roselli won 14-of-19 face-offs.
Dillon Lojeski (four saves) and Sam Hoffman (two saves) combined for six saves.
Upper Dublin (4-5, 2-1 SOL) will be on the road at Plymouth Whitemarsh on Wednesday, and Abington (1-8, 0-4) will host Wissahickon on Thursday.

SOUDERTON 6, WISSAHICKON 3
Jake Phaup was once again a force at the face-off X, winning 12-of-13. Axell Beskar recorded 13 saves in goal to anchor the Indians’ stingy defense.
“It was a total team win and anchored by an incredible defensive effort,” coach Mark Princehorn said.
Trent Breneman had one goal and two assists, and Adam Booz added a pair of goals. Phaup and Stephen Blue both had one goal and one assist, and Colin Higgins had one goal.
Souderton (10-0, 3-0 SOL) will host Upper Moreland on Tuesday, and Wissahickon (3-7, 2-1) will host Perkiomen Valley on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
HATBORO-HORSHAM 17, UPPER MORELAND 4
The Hatters, who led 7-1 at halftime, took a 10-2 lead into halftime, rolling to the decisive win.
Tim McPoyle and Cameron Knox led a balanced Hatter attack with three goals and two assists each. Ian Reilly added three goals and one assist, and Jason Kleinz had two goals and two assists. Logan Eldridge had one goal and three assists while Joe Larouche and Chris McPoyle each had one goal and one assist. Chris Dearden contributed a pair of goals while Tom Watkins had one goal and Chris Koch, one assist.
Hatboro-Horsham (7-1, 3-0 SOL) will be on the road at Council Rock South for a non-league game on Saturday, and Upper Moreland (2-4, 1-2) will travel to Archbishop Ryan for a non-league contest on Monday.
