NORTH PENN 6, HATBORO-HORSHAM 5 (8 innings)
In a non-league battle of conference champions, Ryan Bealer’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh propelled the Knights to the walk-off win in Friday’s Community Night game. The loss was the first for the Hatters since they fell to Methacton 7-6 in a non-league game on April 13 and snapped a 13-game losing streak.
Senior Howie Spoffard threw two scoreless innings to earn the win. He allowed not hits, struck out three and did not walk a batter. He was the seventh North Penn pitcher to see action.
The Knights held a 11-8 advantage in hits. Trace Colter was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, and Hunter Hamlin was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Griffen Juckniewitz contributed an RBI.
Shaun Thomas (2-for-2, double) and Ryan O’Donnell (2-for-3, run) led the Hatters. Eric Jester was 1-for-2 with an RBI, and Brian Edgington was 1-for-1 with an RBI.
North Penn (9-3 SOL) closed out its regular season with a 17-3 record, and Hatboro-Horsham (12-2) finished the regular season 15-5. Both teams have opening round byes in the District One 6A Tournament. Second-seeded Hatboro-Horsham will face the winner of 15th-seeded Conestoga versus 18th-seeded Avon Grove contest. North Penn, the tournament’s sixth seed, will face 11th-seeded Boyertown.

The Bucks broke the Hatters’ streak of six straight shutouts, but the Hatters extended their win streak to 13, erasing a 1-0 deficit with single runs in the second, third and fourth innings.
Trevor D’Arcy’s RBI single gave the Bucks a 1-0 lead in the first, but the Hatters got that run back in the second when Matt Johnson singled home a run. An RBI single by Shaun Thomas in the third gave the Hatters a lead they would not lose. Ryan O’Donnell’s solo home run in the fourth put the Hatters on top 3-1.
O’Donnell finished the game 2-for-2 with a home run, RBI and two runs scored.
For the Bucks, Thomas Philipps was 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored.
Brian Edgington earned the win, allowing six hits and two runs (one earned) while fanning four and walking one. Kyle Krall threw two shutout innings to earn the save, allowing two hits while striking out two and walking none.
Central Bucks West (4-8 SOL) closed out its season with a 6-14 record.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 5, WEST CHESTER HENDERSON 2
The Patriots erased a 1-0 lead with a pair of runs in the third inning, but Henderson evened the scored with a run in the bottom of the fifth. In the top of the sixth, PJ Harris delivered an RBI single to put the Patriots on top 3-2. They added a pair of runs in the seventh.
Cameron Komonchak had a big day out of the leadoff spot, finishing 3-for-4 with a triple, RBI and two runs scored. CJ Gillmer was 2-for-4 with a double, and Grant Meiers was 2-for-3 with a double and RBI. Also contributing RBIs were Jimmy Wiegers, Collin Sheehan and Harris.
Jared Thompson earned the win in relief, allowing two hits and one run in two innings while striking out three and walking one. Ari Silverstein did not allow a hit in a scoreless inning to close out the game. Zach Millar threw four innings in the start, allowing six hits and one run while striking out two and walking none.
Central Bucks East (7-5 SOL) closed out its regular season with a 12-8 record. The Patriots, the 13th-seed in the 20-team District One 6A Tournament, will host 20th-seeded William Tennent in an opening round game on Monday.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 11, RADNOR 1 (6 innings)
Justin Gelfand’s RBI single in the bottom of the first spotting the Colonials an early 1-0 lead, and after Radnor knotted the score in the third, the Colonials blew the game open with a five-run fourth inning. Two-run singles by Steve Longo and Kevin Reilly highlighted the frame. The Colonials added a run in the fifth and brought an early end to the game with four runs in the sixth.
John Pecharo was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Longo finished the game 1-for-3 with three RBIs and one run scored. Brad Krenicky was 1-for-3 with two RBIS. Richie Werner had a pair of RBIs. Noah Goldstein was 1-for-3 with a triple and three runs scored. Jacob Nunez was 1-for-1 with an RBI and run scored.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (3-11 SOL) closed out its season with a 6-14 record.
