CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 8, NORTH PENN 3

The CB East Patriots traveled to North Penn for a Friday afternoon SOL National Conference showdown. The majority of the first quarter was dominated by the defense from both teams until Jacob Manion put the Patriots on the scoreboard with a nifty wrap-around goal at the 1:26 mark. A short 37 seconds later, Ryan Stout scored on an aggressive move to the cage to give the Patriots a 2-0 lead after the first quarter. Ryan Bullota scored two goals at the 10:30 and 9:47 mark of the second quarter to give the Patriots a four-goal lead. The Knights and Patriots (goal by Collin Stein) would then trade single goals, which resulted in a 5-1 Patriots lead at the half.
The second half started similar to the first until Stout’s goal at the 6:51 mark of the third quarter gave East a 6-1 edge. North Penn scored with 10 seconds left to make it 6-2 going into the final period. Fourth period goals by Michael Ott and Stout rounded out the scoring for the Patriots en route to an 8-3 victory over a hustling, hard-working North Penn squad.
Ott won nine face-offs and led the Patriots with nine ground balls, and East goalie Liam Rosenthal recorded 10 saves in the win.
Stein and John Galow both were credited with three ground balls while Jake Kueny had a pair. Drew Bethke, Evan Bullotta and Stout had one each.

The Patriots (8-1, 3-0 SOL) will host ANC on Saturday morning 10:30am at Patriot Stadium. North Penn (6-3, 2-1) will host Central Bucks South on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 6, PENNSBURY 5
The Falcons took a 4-2 lead into the second half, but the Bucks erased that with a 3-0 third quarter. The two teams exchanged goals in the final period.
Erik Ojert (three goals, one assist) and Joey Rockovich (one goal, three assists) both had four-point nights to lead the Bucks. Jake Ojert added a goal and an assist while John McCreary added a single goal.
For the Falcons, Ben Abraham had two goals and an assist, and Avery Dysart also had a pair of goals. Nick Sutton added a goal while Cole Ruoff chipped in an assist.
Garrett Hitchens was key to the win for the Bucks, winning 12 of 15 face-offs. He also had seven ground balls.
West goalie Max Dunar was credited with 12 saves in the win while Pennsbury goalie Tim Davis recorded 10 saves.
Central Bucks West (7-2, 2-1 SOL) will travel to Harry S Truman on Wednesday, and Pennsbury (6-4, 1-2) will host Neshaminy on Tuesday in the annual Doug ‘Grandpa’ Greenfield Cup contest.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 11, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 5

The CB South Titans beat Council Rock South 11-5 this afternoon. Three goals were scored by both senior Dante Poli and junior Austin Novick. Junior Angus Ballantine scored two goals, and single goals were scored by junior Dylan Grosso, senior Joe DeLaurentis, sophomore Colin Abbonizio and junior Jake Scarafone.
Poli lead the team with five assists, and Novick had one. Senior Bobby Sautner lead the team with four ground balls. Dylan McCrory scooped three ground balls, while Novick, Ballantine, senior Joe Maag and senior Connor Falkowski each had two ground balls. The following players each had a single ground ball: Poli, Grosso, Abbonizio, sophomore Logan Swangler, junior Jon Robinson, senior Evan Quinn, junior Max Montrose and senior Evan Michener. Goalie Bobby Sautner had eight saves at the goal.
Central Bucks South (7-3, 2-1 SOL) will be on the road at North Penn on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. contest. Council Rock South (5-2, 2-1) will be on the road at Abington for a Saturday 10 a.m. contest.
SOL American Conference
WISSAHICKON 6, SOUDERTON 3
The Trojans threw some serious defense at the Indians, limiting them to just three goals. They also controlled play at the X where Matt Fritz won 9 of 12 face-offs. He also added a goal.
Owen Baim had a four-point night to lead the Trojans, scoring one goal and assisting on three others. Brody Myers added a goal and an assist, and contributing one goal each were Brody Myers, Michael Licata and Harrison Williams. John Dickson chipped in an assist.
For the Indians, Cole Witoslawski found the net with a pair of goals, and Dylan Anderson had one goal. Kain Turner had an assist.
In goal for the Trojans, Brad Melvin recorded nine saves in the win. Souderton goalie Axell Beskar recorded 10 saves.
Wissahickon (2-6, 2-0 SOL) will host Hatboro-Horsham on Tuesday at 7 p.m., and Souderton (7-3, 2-1) will be on the road at Upper Moreland on Tuesday.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 12, UPPER MORELAND 1
The Colonials have established themselves as the clear frontrunners in the SOL American, opening up a 9-0 halftime lead and rolling to yet another big conference win.
Lexi Petrakis and Ali Diamond led the Colonials with three goals each. Petrakis added an assist to finish with four points. Sophie Kolkka and Vic Betterly also had four-point games as both contributed two goals and two assists. Max Leszczynski added a pair of goals.
Meghan O’Donnell scored the Bears’ lone goal.
“It was a tough game today,” UM coach Kim Frantz said. “PW brought their ‘A’ game, and we struggled with the fundamentals.
“PW did a great job trapping in transition and put great pressure on us in the midfield. With stall ball starting with eight minutes left in the first half and not being able to come up with draws, we couldn’t get anything going. PW was definitely the better team today.”
PW goalie Meghan Ely was forced to make just one save.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (6-3, 3-0 SOL) will travel to Quakertown on Monday 7pm and Upper Moreland (8-2, 2-1) will be on the road Monday at Souderton for a 5 p.m. contest.

HARRITON 10, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 6
The visiting Rams opened up a 9-4 halftime lead on their way to the win.
Sophomore Riley Forman scored four goals to lead the Patriots, and junior Brigitte Bishop added a pair. Senior Erin McGowan had the Patriots’ only assist.
Freshman Fiona Henderson (six saves) and junior Maddie Gresko (three saves) split time in goal.
Central Bucks East (6-3, 3-0 SOL) will host Neshaminy on Monday.

PENNCREST 18, WISSAHICKON 9
The Trojans opened up an early two-goal lead only to watch Penncrest come back to take control, scoring several goals off transition recoveries.
For the Trojans, Sam Intieri led all scorers with five goals. Sophia Chiodo Ortiz and Maggie Wurzbach both contributed a pair. Brooke Berry, Maddy Hippensteal and Kelly Dickson each had one assist.
Jaclyn Staub had five saves in goal.
Wissahickon (8-2, 2-1 SOL) will travel to Hatboro-Horsham on Monday.
WEST CHESTER HENDERSON 14, SOUDERTON 7
Henderson opened up an 8-3 halftime lead and never looked back on its way to the non-league win.
Riley McGowan led the Indians with three goals and one assist. Anna Anello, Liz O’Hara, Randi Hess and Sarah Goodwin each had one goal. Goodwin also added an assist and two caused turnovers while O’Hara had one caused turnover. Carlie Doughty had two assists and one caused turnover, and Kate Connolly had one assist. Ceci Puente was credited with two caused turnovers while Juliana Borisow and Sophia Lynch had one each.
Souderton goalie Lauren Scott was credited with 12 saves.
Souderton (5-4, 2-1 SOL) will host Upper Moreland on Monday at 5 p.m.
