Boys
Non-league
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 1
The Patriots and Hatters were deadlocked 1-1 at halftime, but the second half belonged to the Patriots, who scored a pair of unanswered goals to earn the non-league win in Friday’s regular season finale.
“We kind of knew they were teeter tottering on playoffs, and they would give everything they had,” East coach Josh Isaacsohn said. “They were a really good team, they had a couple of really good players in the middle of the field that kept putting the pressure on our defense.
“Their guys fought really hard and really gave us a run for the money. Credit to Kyle (McGrath) and those kids – they really have a nice future ahead of them.”
The Hatters got on the scoreboard first with a goal by Logan Gisondi midway through the first half.
“Unfortunately, our center back had a not very heavily weighted ball back to our keeper that didn’t quite make it, and to their guy’s credit – he stole it and put one in,” Isaacsohn said. “Again, we were facing a little adversity – see how we deal with it.”
The Patriots responded 12 minutes later with the equalizer, thanks to a Joey Roth goal with an assist from Max Willis.
“Max just put the ball through, and Joey buried it into the side netting just the way he calmly does,” Isaacsohn said. “It was really well done and tied it up 1-1.”
The Patriots took a lead they would not lose 25 minutes into the second half when Andrew Walloff assisted Koen Reid on a corner.
“About three minutes later, Wesley Myers put a ball up high that was floating in towards the box, and Michael Montabana used his body really, really well and kind of moved around his guy and just gently headed the ball and redirected it enough that it got past the keeper for 3-1.”
Central Bucks East (16-1-1, 15-0-1 SOL) is fifth in the latest District 1 4A rankings. Hatboro-Horsham closed its season (7-11, 6-10 SOL).

FAITH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 1, UPPER DUBLIN 0
Faith Christian Academy – undefeated and the top seed in the District 1 1A Tournament – proved to be as good as its record.
“I’m very proud of my boys,” UD coach Noah Johnson said. “A lot of opportunities were created. It just wasn’t our day, and their keeper made sure to keep it that way.
“We are ready for the postseason, and no matter what we’re dealt, we’re going out swinging.”
Upper Dublin (15-3, 14-2 SOL) is the ninth seed in the District 1 4A Tournament will host Central Bucks West in Tuesday’s opening round at 7 p.m.
Girls
SOL Colonial Division
PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1
Two of the SOL’s best met in Friday’s regular season finale, and it was Pennridge putting an exclamation mark on another impressive regular season, turning a 1-1 halftime
tie into a 3-1 win.
Liv Grenda – who had a pair of goals – spotted the Lady Rams a 1-0 lead, using an assist from Sophie Craig. A goal by East’s Kiera Sleicher with 10 minutes remaining in the half sent the two teams into halftime deadlocked at one apiece.
Hannah Primwhere turned a Craig pass into the go-ahead goal, and then Grenda added her second goal for the 3-1 win.
“(The) result is obviously not what we wanted, but this is the type of game we wanted heading into districts,” East coach Jake Nesteruk said. “Massive credit to Pennridge. They came out with a bite today and put us under a lot of pressure. Our girls played hard and the fact we bounced back from a goal down was massive.”
Pennridge closed out the season with a near-perfect 17-0-1 record overall (15-0-1 SOL). The Lady Rams are second behind Conestoga in the latest District 1 4A power rankings. Central Bucks East (13-3-2, 11-3-2) is eighth in the district rankings with the final seedings to be determined Saturday.

Non-league
NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 8, COLLEGIUM CHARTER 1
The Lions raced out of the gate to a 6-0 halftime lead on their way to the decisive non-league win.
“We got on Collegium Charter right away and scored very quickly – after that the goals just kept coming,” NH-S coach Matt Duffey said. “We were able to get everyone involved which was fun for the girls after a really difficult stretch without a lot of wins.”
Nina Meixler and Mia Usatin each scored a pair of goals, and adding one goal each were Hayden Tumminello, Grace Fitzgerald, Ali Rickard, and Cynee Catalano.
“I would love to say there was individuals to single out, but everyone just played really well.,” Duffey said. “We also want to show a lot of respect to Collegium Charter. They came a long way. It didn’t matter how many goals we had on them – they stayed positive and fought the whole game.”
New Hope-Solebury (3-15, 2-14 SOL) is second of three teams in the latest District 1 2A power rankings.
