CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 15, METHACTON 8
Alex Greenspan had himself a night.
The West senior not only had a brilliant 10-point game with four goals and six assists – he also reached a milestone, connecting on the 100th goal of a stellar career.
“Our coach keeps a stat book – he’s kept a stat book for way before I’ve been around,” Greenspan said. “I knew I was close, and when I did it, he took the ball from the ref, and I kind of knew.”
The milestone, according to Greenspan, underscores how far he’s come.
“My freshman year, I was the sixth option on offense,” he said. “I’ve been here four years, the team completely changed, but it’s always the core values of the team that have stayed true and guided me along the way.”
Teammate Michael Rafalowski also had a big night on attack, finishing with five goals and two assists for a seven-point game. Ben Greenspan added a hat trick for the Bucks, who led 10-2 at halftime on their way to the win.
Killian Eickman had a big night at the faceoff X, winning 10 of 14 faceoffs.

CB West senior Alex Greenspan on scoring 100 goals: “I don’t think there’s really a secret – it’s more of a science. We have one of the best offensive coordinators I’ve ever played under (Scott Mitchell). The team as a whole is run exceptionally well. We do everything down to a ‘T’. We always strive to be perfect, and when you strive to be perfect, the goals kind of come with that.”
–A 10-point night: “Once you get into a flow – we were up 5-1 in the first quarter, and once we start rolling and our passes start connecting, I guess I’m just the guy with last pass for the shot. It takes all six of us out there to score a goal. It’s never a one-person thing. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time for either the assist or the goal.”
Up next: Central Bucks West (4-1) will host Springfield Twp on Monday.
