Brandon DiBona (William Tennent) was named to Chestnut Hill College Athletics Fall 2016 Academic Honor Roll.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Sophomore Evan Slone (Souderton) scored a team-high 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor (80 percent) in Arcadia’s 74-67 win over Rutgers-Camden on Monday. In Wednesday’s 80-72 loss to Alvernia, Slone had 16 points.
Josh McWilliams (Council Rock North) scored 14 points in McDaniel’s 60-54 win over Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 77-48 win over Emmanuel, McWilliams had 14 points.
Freshman John Ryan (William Tennent) came off the bench to score 12 points in Penn State Abington’s 71-61 win over Penn State Berks on Saturday. In Monday’s 74-72 loss to Mount Saint Mary’s in overtime, Ryan had a team-high 15 points.
Junior Zach Quattro (Hatboro-Horsham) scored a team-high 17 points on 6-of-6 shooting (4-of-4 from three-point range) in Ursinus College’s 77-75 loss to Johns Hopkins on Saturday. Sophomore Zack Muredda (Pennridge) added nine points.
Arron Goodman (Council Rock North) scored 20 of his season-high 28 points in the second half in Gwynedd Mercy’s 88-74 win over Keystone on Saturday. The CR North graduate connected on 10-of-15 shots, which included two three-pointers, Drew Dietterich (Pennridge) contributed a basket down the stretch. In Thursday’s 93-72 win at Clarks Summit, Goodman scored 19 points and also pulled down nine rebounds.
Ammir Hinton (Abington) scored 23 points in Lock Haven’s 83-82 loss to No. 19 Kutztown University on Friday. In Tuesday’s 115-78 loss to East Stroudsburg, Hinton scored a game-high 25 points.
Anthony Lee (Abington) scored on a layup with 2.2 seconds remaining to cap a 6-0 run over the final 1:33 in No. 19 Kutztown University’s 83-82 win over Lock Haven on Friday. Lee finished with 21 points on the night, one shy of a season high. It was his third straight scoring output of at least 19 points. He went 4-of-4 from the line and made 3-of-4 from 3-point range while also grabbing five rebounds and recording his sixth consecutive game with at least two steals. Ryan Connolly (Souderton) began KU’s comeback with a three-pointer before making 1-of-2 at the free throw line to cut the deficit to just one with 49 seconds to go. Connolly contributed seven points and five rebounds. In Tuesday’s 94-80 win over Clarion, Lee scored 19 points, connecting on 7-of-11 shots from the floor and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. He also had five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. Connolly chipped in with 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc.
Matt Penecale (Abington) grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds and also had seven points and five assists in West Chester’s 72-70 win over California (Pa.) on Saturday. In Tuesday’s 106-102 double overtime loss at Mansfield, Penecale recorded 16 points.
Sophomore guard Jimmy Murray (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had 14 points in Moravian College’s 86-74 loss to No. 14 Susquehanna on Saturday.
Jordan Reed (Wissahickon) scored 10 points in Tennessee State’s 76-73 loss to Kennesaw State on Monday.
Khalil White (Cheltenham) scored a team-high 16 points in Penn State Harrisburg’s 67-62 loss to Mary Washington on Saturday. In Tuesday’s 83-66 loss to SUNY Canton in the consolation match of the Sponaugle New Year’s Tournament hosted by Franklin & Marshall, White led the Lions at both ends of the court with 19 points and seven rebounds. In Monday’s opening round 67-65 loss to Case Western Reserve, White had 22 points, three rebounds and two assists.
Senior Ryan Charity (Pennsbury) scored 10 points in Cabrini’s 84-76 loss to No. 20 Neumann on Thursday.
Freshman Tracy Simsick (Souderton) scored 11 points in DeSales University’s 84-72 win at Delaware Valley on Saturday.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Freshman Allison Chernow (Upper Dublin) scored a season-high 15 points in Emory University’s 77-48 win at Rhodes College on Monday. The UD graduate knocked down 5-of-6 shots from the floor, including both of her three-point tries, and three free throws. Chernow also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double.
Freshman Jordan Vitelli (Central Bucks South) contributed five points, two rebounds and two steals in the University of the Sciences 58-36 win over Dominican College on Wednesday.
Sophomore Nicole Munger (Central Bucks West) scored nine points in Michigan’s 96-87 loss to Ohio State on Saturday. The CB West graduate connected on 3-of-4 shots from the floor and 2-of-2 at the foul line.
Deja Rawls (Abington) tied her season high as she dished out six assists in Siena’s 71-53 win over Niagara on Monday.
Junior Sajanna Bethea (Pennsbury) contributed six points and three rebounds while freshman Sammy Lochner (Abington) had eight points in St. Peter’s 76-59 loss to Monmouth on Saturday. In Thursday’s 66-58 loss to Iona, Lochner had 10 points, three assists and three steals while Bethea added five points. In Monday’s 82-47 loss to Quinnipiac, Bethea had nine points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Lauren Crisler (North Penn) contributed nine points and eight rebounds in American University’s 68-51 win over Lehigh on Saturday. Junior Michael Harris (Abington) added five points and four rebounds off the bench. In Thursday’s 73-67 overtime loss to Bucknell, Crisler pulled down a team-high nine rebounds and also scored 13 points. In Monday’s 68-57 win over Colgate, Crisler scored 11 points while Harris had her third double-figure game of the season with 10 points.
Freshman Cassidy Quattro (Hatboro-Horsham) had a team-high nine rebounds and also had four blocks in Washington College’s 66-60 win over Muhlenberg on Saturday.
Junior Kaitlin Kelly (Pennsbury) scored 10 points off the bench in DeSales University’s 64-48 win over Eastern University on Wednesday.
Alysha Lofton (Central Bucks South) had 16 points and 13 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season in Albright’s 74-57 win over Lebanon Valley on Saturday. She also had four steals and three blocks. In Wednesday’s 74-33 win over Hood, Lofton had another double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds to go along with a team-high six assists, four steals and three blocks.
Aigner Bookard (Cheltenham) scored 10 points in Cairn University’s 62-36 loss to Centenary on Tuesday.
Freshman Lydia Konstanzer (Pennridge) continued her torrid offensive production with 26 points and a career-high 15 rebounds in Ursinus College’s 58-44 win over Johns Hopkins on Saturday. The Pennridge graduate has scored in double figures in seven straight games and is averaging 20.0 points and 9.1 rebounds since her insertion into the starting lineup five games ago. She leads all CC freshmen in scoring.
Alynna Williams (Plymouth Whitemarsh) connected on a career-high three three-pointers and scored 18 points in Philadelphia University’s 65-50 win at Felician on Saturday.
Stephanie Knauer (North Penn) scored a season-high 24 points in Shippensburg’s 63-51 win over Bloomsburg on Friday. In Tuesday’s 76-46 win over Millersville, Knauer scored 15 points.
Larissa Leyes (Upper Dublin) connected on four three-pointers and scored a career-high 14 points in Gwynedd Mercy’s 77-57 win over Centenary on Saturday.
Freshman Devan Rimmer (Pennridge) netted 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor and 4-of-5 at the line in Widener’s 88-51 loss to No. 24 Messiah on Saturday. Junior Allison Gallagher (Souderton) also reached double figures with 10 points. In Wednesday’s 63-62 loss to Penn State Brandywine, Gallagher registered her first double-double of the season and fourth of her career with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Vicky Tumasz (North Penn) was named to Chestnut Hill College Athletics Fall 2016 Academic Honor Roll.
Tumasz contributed seven points, three assists and two steals in Chestnut Hill’s 78-66 win at Nyack College on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 108-80 win over Post University, Tumasz connected on four three-pointers (4-of-9) and finished with 14 points.

Sophomore Lauren Griffith (Central Bucks East) captured first place the 50-yard freestyle in 26.74 seconds in Widener’s 121-67 win over Baldwin Wallace on Friday. She also was part of both first-place relay teams.
Kutztown University junior Bridget Perdock (Pennsbury) finished fourth in the 75 breaststroke with a time of 54.97 at the Westminster Snowbird Invitational in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Saturday. Aimee Watkins (Hatboro-Horsham) was 10th in the 75 freestyle with a time of 49.14.

WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Duquesne sophomore Shannon Taub (Council Rock South) was named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week for her performance at the Youngstown State University Icebreaker on Dec. 3. Taub set a new program record in the high jump, clearing 5-7.75. She finished first in a field of 23. The previous indoor high jump record was 5-7 by Sherie Key in 2013. Taub also recorded an indoor PR of 16-10.75 in the long jump. Additionally, she finished seventh out of 21 in the triple jump with a distance of 35-7.75. This is Taub’s second A-10 weekly honor. She was A-10 Rookie of the Week on Dec. 8, 2015.
Monmouth sophomore Allison Taub (Council Rock South) finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 12.55 meters at the 2016 Princeton Invitational on Dec. 11. At the Monmouth Indoor Season Opener, Taub recorded a PR of 12.72 meters in the shot put, finishing fourth. She finished seventh in the weight throw with a PR of 14.41 meters.
