MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Villanova sophomore Casey Comber (Hatboro-Horsham) finished third with a time of 24:40.6 at the BIG EAST Championships on Saturday. Villanova finished third in the team standings.
Cairn sophomore Joel Varughese (Bensalem) ran a blistering time of 13:11.9 to finish first in the 4K at the Immaculata Invitational. The Bensalem graduate coasted to the finish line, beating the next closest runner by 24 seconds.
Gettysburg freshman Dylan McKeever (Central Bucks East) completed the team scoring by taking 48th place in 27:57 at the Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday. In last week’s final non-championship meet at the Lebanon Valley College Last Chance Run Fast Invitational, McKeever finished seventh with a time of 28:02.
Shippensburg senior Alex Balla (Quakertown) finished second with a time of 26:39 at the 2017 PSAC Championships last Saturday. It is Balla’s third consecutive All-PSAC first team performance. He finished seventh last year and fourth in 2015. Balla was 12 seconds behind race champion Austin Pondel of Edinboro but four seconds ahead of the third place runner. Sophomore Brian Iatarola (Central Bucks West) was the Raiders’ number six runner, placing 50th with a time of 28:52.2. Shippensburg won the team title.
Penn State Abington junior Domonic Pignatellio (Central Bucks South) placed 38th overall with a time of 32:58 at the NEAC Championship on Saturday. In last week’s Immaculata Invitational, Pignatellio earned a time of 14:39 to finish 10th overall.
Bloomsburg sophomore Declan McDonald (Central Bucks West) finished 63rd with a time of 29:15.6 at the 2017 PSAC Championships last Saturday. Redshirt senior James Wilson (Central Bucks South) was 96th overall with a time of 30:43.5.
WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Elizabethtown senior Kelsey Brady (Council Rock South) finished second with a time of 23:15.51 at the Landmark Championships on Saturday. It was the CR South alum’s best finish in a conference meet in her career.
La Salle senior Kaitlin Poiesz (Central Bucks South) posted a time of 19:09.1 to finish 45th at the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday.
Kutztown junior Stephanie Bresadola (North Penn) finished eighth overall out of 172 runners with a time of 23:22.3 at the PSAC Championships last Saturday. Kutztown finished third as a team.
Ursinus College junior Riley Engel (Council Rock North) paced the Bears, finishing in 26th place with a time of 24:10.1 at the Gettysburg Invitational.
Shippensburg junior Jackie Kinkead (Central Bucks East) posted her best finish to date at the PSAC Championships with a 19th place time of 23:49 to earn All-PSAC second team honors. It is her second All-PSAC performance after running 20th last season. Shippensburg finished second in the team standings.
Saint Joseph’s sophomore Meridith Twomey (Pennsbury) finished 91st with a time of 20:01.3 at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday.
FIELD HOCKEY
Rachel Konowal (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had a pair of assists in Monmouth University’s 5-0 win over Rider on Sunday. In Friday’s 4-1 win at Bryant, Konowal, who has 20 points on the season, had a goal and an assist. In Monmouth’s 9-1 rout of Siena, Konowal scored a goal.
Temple senior Rachael Mueller (William Tennent) was chosen to participate in the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Senior Game to be held on Nov. 17 at the University of Louisville. Mueller is the 12th selection from Temple in the past 11 years. Mueller is the Owls’ leading scorer this season with six goals and 16 totals points. She has scored the game-winning goal for Temple twice, including a 3-2 overtime win vs. Sacred Heart. Mueller recorded two goals in Temple’s 3-1 win at Holy Cross. She was a 2017 Preseason All-BIG EAST selection and was named to the 2016 BIG EAST second team.
Emma McLaughlin (Quakertown) scored her first goal of the season and also contributed an assist in Villanova’s 5-3 win over Georgetown on Friday. In the Wildcats’ 3-2 double overtime win over Monmouth, Emily Cliggett (Central Bucks South) scored her first goal of the season. McLaughlin had an assist.
Amber Blackshear (North Penn) scored the first goal in La Salle’s 4-1 win over Towson on Friday.
Kutztown University senior Courtney Konowal (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was chosen to participate in the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division II Senior Game team. The game will be held on Nov. 18 at Bellarmine University as part of the Division II Field Hockey Championship weekend in Louisville, Ky. Konowal has been the team captain for Kutztown each of the last two seasons and has registered eight points in her senior campaign with three goals and two assists from her midfield position. Konowal has started all 70 games she has played in her career with 12 career goals and 11 assists, posting a combined 35 points. On the field, the PW graduate has received All-PSAC honors in each of her three seasons. In the classroom, Konowal has earned a litany of academic awards. She was named a three-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner. Konowal also received national recognition for her academic efforts as a member of the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.

Madison Kubik (Bensalem) scored her second goal of the season in Elizabethtown’s 3-1 win over Susquehanna last Saturday.
Sophomore Marley Berger (Springfield Township) scored a goal in Albright’s 5-1 win over Hood last Saturday. Freshman Brynne Schoppe (North Penn) entered the game to start the second half and played just over 20 minutes without facing a shot.
Carlie Baldus (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed an assist in Delaware Valley University’s 5-2 loss to Wilkes University last Saturday. In the Aggies’ 1-0 upset of Freedom front-runner FDU-Florham, Kara Imes (North Penn) scored the game’s only goal with 22:48 remaining. Baldus had an assist on the game winner.
Katie Bagdon (Council Rock South) scored a goal in Drexel’s 2-0 win at Hofstra on Sunday.
Keystone College senior Emily Hawkins (Cheltenham) was named to the CSAC Honor Roll for the week ending Oct. 22. It was the fourth weekly award of her career after stopping 18 of the 20 shots she faced while leading Keystone to a 1-1 CSAC week. The senior goalie made nine saves in a 1-0 loss to Cedar Crest before adding nine more stops in a 2-1 win over Cabrini. Hawkins finished the week with a .900 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average.
Senior Emma Rosenthal (Central Bucks East) made a pair of saves in her 49th start in Muhlenberg’s 2-1 win over Washington College on Friday, upping her career record to 32-17. In Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Swarthmore, Rosenthal, returning to the lineup after missing three games with an injury, finished with four saves.
Misericordia senior Colby Eldridge (Hatboro-Horsham) was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 22. The Hatboro-Horsham graduate recorded two game-winning goals and added two assists in a 2-0 week to help the Cougars cinch a postseason berth. Against Eastern, Eldridge set up the game-tying goal in the 62nd minute and then scored the game-winner in overtime. She added an assist and the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over DeSales.
Eldridge has been selected to play in the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Game, which will be held Nov. 18 at Bellarmine University as part of the NCAA Division III semifinals.
Eldridge scored her 11th goal of the season in Misericordia’s 2-0 win over Marywood on Saturday. In Thursday’s 3-1 win at Wilkes, Eldridge had a goal and an assist.
Junior Jules Singer (Council Rock North) recorded eight saves in her 25th career win in Ursinus College’s 3-1 win over Johns Hopkins last Saturday. Sophomore Erin Saybolt (Souderton) and sophomore Anna Hall (Central Bucks West) each contributed an assist. In the Bears’ 6-2 loss to No. 11 Catholic, Saybolt scored on a penalty stroke.
Messiah senior midfielder Kristin Donohue (Council Rock South) has been chosen to play in the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division III Senior Game. Donohue is fourth on the Falcons with 15 points, including a team-high and conference-high nine assists. The senior also has three goals on the year, including the game winner against Alvernia. She is tied for fifth place all-time in the Messiah record books with 32 assists. The game is scheduled for Nov. 18 at Bellarmine University.
Donohue had an assist in No. 1 Messiah College’s 2-1 victory over Albright on Thursday. In last Saturday’s 6-0 win over Widener, Donohue contributed a goal.
Rachel Gorman (Central Bucks South) scored her second goal in as many games in Lebanon Valley’s 4-3 loss to Arcadia last Saturday. In Lebanon Valley’s 2-1 win over Stevenson, Gorman scored the game winner in the 57th minute.
Abigail Gabriel (Souderton) had a goal and an assist in Gwynedd Mercy’s 7-0 win over Marywood. In the Griffins 6-0 win over Neumann, Jamie McCarney (William Tennent) scored a goal while teammates Madison Reiss (Pennridge) and Maggie Walsh (Central Bucks South) each had an assist.
Marissa Elizardo (North Penn) recorded one save in No. 7 West Chester’s 7-1 win at IUP on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Bloomsburg, Elizardo had a pair of saves. In last Saturday’s 7-0 win over Mercyhurst, Elizardo picked up the victory in goal.

University of Notre Dame Heisman Trophy candidate Josh Adams (Central Bucks South) was named the
Walter Camp National FBS Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in a 35-14 rout of No. 14 North Carolina State on Saturday. Adams rushed for 202 yards on a career-high 27 carries, including a 77-yard touchdown run as the Irish rumbled for 318 yards on the ground against the nation’s sixth-ranked rushing defense. Notre Dame bested NC State’s average coming into the game (91.3) by nearly 230 yards. Adams is the first Irish player to ever rush for at least 150 yards in five different games in a single season. He’s registered six 100-yard rushing games and five have been achieved in the first half. Adams surpassed 1,000 yards rushing for the season on his 110th carry of the year. He’s the fastest Notre Dame running back in program history in terms of carries to surpass the 1,000-yard mark. Adams recorded his nation’s best seventh run of at least 60 yards and fourth run of at least 70 yards. Adams is the sixth Notre Dame player to earn Walter Camp National Player of the Week honors since 2004.
Adams continued to build his Heisman resume last week when he finished with 191 yards on 19 carries (10.1 avg.) and three touchdowns in No. 13 Notre Dame’s 49-14 win over No. 11 USC.
Sophomore cornerback JR Stevens (Neshaminy) had an interception and also broke up four passes in No. 4/2 IUP’s 42-26 win over Gannon on Saturday. The win clinched the PSAC West title
Stacey Gardner (Upper Dublin) rushed for two touchdowns in Ursinus College’s 28-21 win over McDaniel on Saturday. After being held below 56 yards in each of his last three games and four of the previous five, Gardner exploded for 118 yards on 22 carries, scoring on touchdowns of 11 and 48 yards just over three minutes apart as the Bears opened up a commanding 28-7 second-quarter lead. Sophomore quarterback Thomas Garlick (Quakertown) finished 12-of-21 for 158 yards and became the 12th quarterback in program history to pass for 3,000 yards. In last Saturday’s 21-14 loss at Susquehanna, Garlick threw for 180 yards and a score and also added a 12-yard touchdown run. Alexander Skyrm (Souderton) was credited with half a sack.
Jalen Nieves (Bensalem) led the defense with 17 tackles, including two for a loss and one sack in Kutztown’s 27-13 loss to Shippensburg on Saturday. Nieves has 242 total tackles, which is good for 14th in school history. Senior wide receiver Josh Lee (Abington) had a team-high four catches for 68 yards. In last Saturday’s 55-26 win at Lock Haven, Lee caught two second-half touchdown passes. He finished with three catches for 27 yards.
Linebacker Kevin Duggan (Central Bucks West) picked up four tackles in West Chester’s 31-26 win over East Stroudsburg on Saturday. He is the team’s active leader in career tackles with 138. In last Saturday’s 55-6 win over Cheyney, George Shipp (North Penn) led the defense with six tackles, one sack and 1.5 tackles for a loss. Redshirt freshman running back Nafeese Nasir (Plymouth Whitemarsh) registered his first career touchdown.
Albright junior kicker/punter Kevin Goetz (Neshaminy) earned his third MAC Special Teams Player of the Week Award for the week ending Oct. 22 for his performance in Albright’s 26-23 loss to Stevenson. Goetz recorded a field goal and two extra points, connecting on a field goal from 31 yards out. He also recorded a pair of touchbacks on kickoffs. As a punter, he punted five times for a 36.6 average and dropped two punts inside the 20.
Senior Khari Jefferson (Abington) caught a 21-yard touchdown pass in Albright’s 26-23 win over Wilkes on Saturday. The Abington grad caught three passes for 51 yards. Goetz kicked a 28-yard field goal.
Sophomore quarterback Michael Marino (Wissahickon) threw three touchdown passes in Chestnut Hill’s 56-14 win over Post to even the team’s Collegiate Sprint Football League record at 3-3. Marino threw for 129 yards on an 8-of-17 passing effort. Sophomore wide receiver Josh Lee (Hatboro-Horsham) led the Griffins with four receptions. In last Friday’s 49-7 win over Caldwell, Marino threw for 183 yards and four touchdowns. He ran for two more. Freshman defensive back Anthony Kelly (Pennridge) had five tackles.

Millersville redshirt senior Sean Ebert (Central Bucks West) tied for 20th place by shooting 3-over 75 in the final round of the 2017 PSAC Men’s Golf Championships.
Cabrini senior Clay Anders (Souderton) posted a two-day score of 171 to finish in 26th place at the eight-team Gino Biondi Tournament.
Saint Joseph’s sophomore Tommy Lewis (Central Bucks East) posted a three-round score of 78-80-79/237 at the 33rd Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate.

In the Explorers’ 4-2 win over Saint Joseph’s, Johnny Ciarlante (William Tennent) headed a ball past the Hawk keeper for his fourth goal of the season.
Sophomore Colin Marks (Pennsbury) scored a golden goal with 33 seconds left in double overtime in Shippensburg’s 1-0 win over Slippery Rock on Saturday. A throw-in made its way to junior Cole Kropnick (Wissahickon), who headed a pass into space that Marks rocketed into the lower right corner for the decisive tally.
Freshman John Griffin (Pennsbury) contributed an assist in Cabrini’s 5-1 win over Cairn University on Wednesday.
Brian Kilcoyne (Bensalem) scored his third goal of the season in the 27th minute and Kristopher Gross (Pennridge) scored his third goal of the season in Bloomsburg’s 7-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday. In last Monday’s 5-1 loss at Jefferson University, Kilcoyne scored his team’s only goal. In last Saturday’s 3-2 win over California (Pa.), Austin Transue (Neshaminy) contributed an assist.
Nick Miller (North Penn) scored a pair of goals in a three-minute span in Delaware Valley University’s 5-0 non-conference win over Valley Forge on Wednesday. His first tally was scored after a long throw-in, and the second was his team-leading sixth.

With the win, the Nittany Lions earned their second regular season championship and first since 2012. In last Sunday’s 3-1 win over Cazenovia, Jose Palomeque (Upper Dublin) fired a shot to the low left post in the 30th minute. In last Saturday’s 2-0 win over Penn College, Michael Albers (William Tennent) scored a goal. In the Nittany Lions’ 1-0 win over Penn State Berks, freshman Sebastian Krysztofowicz (Central Bucks East) headed in the game-winning goal for the first goal of his career.

Junior Michaela Finneyfrock (Council Rock North) scored in the 30th minute and Grace Bendon (Central Bucks West) made a game-high nine saves to lead seventh-seeded St. Joseph’s to a 1-0 victory at second seed Saint Lewis in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday. With the win, the Hawks advance to the semifinals of the A-10 Championship and will face six seed VCU on Friday at VCU. Both teams had early chances to get on the board, but it was Finneyfrock who tallied the game’s lone goal. Dribbling the ball from midfield to the top of the box, Finneyfrock delivered a laser that deflected off the left post and into the net to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead at 29:03. Despite being outshot 7-4 in the first half, the Hawks took a one-goal lead into the second half, thanks in part to four saves by Bendon. The Billikens best chance came in the 84th minute off a shot in the box, but Bendon made the last of her nine saves to preserve the shutout victory. In last Sunday’s 2-1 win at St. Bonaventure, Bendon finished the game with five saves.
Penn State senior Megan Schafer (Neshaminy) earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors for the second time in her career (2015). On the year, she has 13 points on five goals and three assists. Schafer’s 13 points and five goals are a team-best this season. In the all-time Penn State record books, Schafer ranks 16th in points (77) and is tied for 15th in goals (30).
Marissa Sheva (Pennridge) buried her shot during penalty kicks in No. 11 Penn State’s win over Rutgers on Sunday. The Nittany Lions edged the Scarlet Knights 4-3 in PKs after the two teams battled to a 0-0 draw.

Jefferson University freshman Kasey Schlupp (Council Rock South) was named the CACC Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 22. Schlupp tallied her first career point with an assist in Jefferson’s midweek loss to Chestnut Hill. She also helped anchor the back line in a 1-0 shutout victory over Nyack.

In last Saturday’s 3-1 win over Seton Hill, junior captain Alyssa Ryan (Wissahickon) scored her fourth goal of the season.
Junior midfielder Megan Engeland (Pennsbury) fired a shot into the bottom left corner of the net at the 47:29 mark in Washington and Lee’s 2-0 win over Emory & Henry on Wednesday. In last Saturday’s 3-2 loss to Bridgewater, Engeland got the Generals on the board at the 48:26 mark when she headed the ball into the back of the net off of a corner kick. In the Generals’ 3-1 win over Shenandoah, Engeland scored on the rebound of a goalie save.
Sophomore Brittany Smith (Pennridge) registered four saves en route to her first collegiate shutout in Gettysburg’s 1-0 playoff-clinching victory over Dickinson on Saturday. With the win, the Bullets secured the fifth and final spot in the Centennial Conference Tournament.

Sophomore midfielder Nicole Abbott (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored an insurance goal in the 60th minute in East Stroudsburg’s 2-0 win over Molloy on Tuesday night.
Allegheny College freshman Shannon McGuinn (William Tennent) was named the NCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 15. It was her first NCAC accolade after leading the Gators to a pair of NCAC victories on the week. In the Gators’ 3-0 win over Hiram, McGuinn scored a pair of goals. Four days later, she assisted on teammate Sarah Donohue’s game winner with 50 second left in overtime to lift Allegheny to a 4-3 win over DePauw. After the two games, McGuinn owned the team lead in both goals (7) and points (15).

Junior Brianna Rock (Bensalem) contributed an assist in Holy Family’s 2-1 loss to Georgian Court on Friday. With her assist, Rock ties the program’s NCAA era single season mark for most points in a season with 39.

Kailey Hopkins (William Tennent) had seven saves in Gwynedd Mercy’s 3-0 win at Immaculata in the regular season finale on Thursday. Sarah Nedwick (North Penn) contributed an assist. In the Griffins’ 2-1 win over Rosemont, Hopkins recorded three saves.
Senior goalkeeper McKenna Mullin (Neshaminy) recorded a pair of saves in Kutztown’s 1-0 win over IUP on Saturday. It was Mullin’s fifth shutout of the season. In Wednesday’s 5-0 win over Mansfield, Mullin earned the start and played the first half, making two saves. In last Saturday’s 2-1 win over Slippery Rock, Mullin recorded nine big saves to keep her team in the match. In the Golden Rams’ 2-0 win over Shippensburg, Mullin made three saves as she improved her record to 6-0 on the season.

Sophomore Maxwell Coulter (Pennridge) and junior Travis Venables (Pennsbury) were part of the victorious 400 medley relay in Ursinus College’s 120-82 win over Dickinson on Saturday. Venables was first to touch the wall in the 50 free, posting a 22.22.
Sophomore Jeff Beyer (Wissahickon) achieved a new pool record in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:48.09 en route to a first-place finish in Shippensburg University’s 130-97 win over Fairmont State on Friday. He also finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:17.23. He also was part of the Raiders’ second place 400 free relay that posted a time of 3:16.43. In the Raiders’ tri-meet against Southern Connecticut (211-120) and West Chester (95-231), Beyer was part of the second place 400 free that finished with a time of 3:16.19. He also finished second in the 1650 free with a time of 16:50.00.
WOMEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING
Freshman Rebecca Warren (Council Rock North) was a double winner in Ursinus College’s 134-66 rout of Dickinson on Saturday. Warren collected the first of her distance freestyle victories with an 11:10.09 in the 1000 free, topping the rest of the field by more than 16 seconds. She completed her own distance double in the 500 free with a time of 5:27.30. Sophomore Margrethe Leis (Springfield Township) placed second in the 200 free with a time of 2:03.17. Katelyn Moore (Hatboro-Horsham) picked up her first collegiate victory in the 200 IM with a mark of 2:17.14.
Junior Lauren Griffith (Central Bucks East) won the 100 and 200 backstroke events with times of 1:05.26 and 2:22.51 in Widener’s 204-52 win over Albright on Saturday. She also was part of the first place 200 and 400 relays that posted times of 1:54.02 and 3:45. 96 respectively. Sammy Grogan (Council Rock North) was part of the 200 free relay.

Haley Sheehan (Quakertown) had seven kills and 14 digs in Cairn University’s 3-0 win over Bryn Athyn on Tuesday. In last Saturday’s 3-0 win over Medgar Evers College, Sheehan had eight kills and 12 digs. In the Highlanders’ 3-1 win over Centenary, Sheehan had nine kills.
Senior Chelsea Gallagher (William Tennent) played right side away from her usual spot at defensive specialist and contributed four kills in Elizabethtown’s 3-0 win over Wilson College on Monday. In last Saturday’s 3-2 win over Washington College, Gallagher had 14 digs. In the Blue Jays’ 3-0 sweep of Ursinus, Gallagher had seven digs.
Freshman Steph Judkins (Pennridge) had 10 kills and 11 digs in Cabrini’s 3-2 loss to No. 19 Stevens University on Saturday. In Thursday’s 3-1 win over Notre Dame of Maryland, Judkins had 10 kills and 14 digs, and freshman Morgan Collito (Council Rock North) added 11 kills and 12 digs. In Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Rosemont, Judkins had six kills, and freshman Lauren Coscia (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had five. In the Cavaliers’ 3-0 win over Marywood that same night, Judkins had 10 kills whole Collito had seven. In last Saturday’s 3-0 loss to Carnegie Mellon, Judkins had 13 kills and nine digs, and in the Cavaliers’ 3-0 sweep of DeSales in the nightcap, Judkins had 14 kills. In Cabrini’s 3-0 win over Denison, Judkins had 11 kills, seven digs and two service aces. In the Cavaliers’ 3-0 win over Gwynedd Mercy, Judkins had eight kills, Coscia had six, and Collito had eight digs.
Kate Woolsey (Central Bucks East) had a team-high six kills in Delaware Valley University’s 3-0 loss to Rutgers-Camden. In the Aggies’ 3-0 loss to Wilkes University, Woolsey had six kills and 16 digs.
Senior Taylor McCartney (Pennsbury) had six kills and six digs in her final collegiate match in Ursinus College’s 3-0 sweep of Bryn Mawr on Saturday. In Friday’s 3-0 loss to McDaniel, McCartney had six kills and sophomore Miranda Foster (Neshaminy) had five kills. In Wednesday’s 3-0 loss at Washington College, Foster paced the Bears with six kills, seven digs and a pair of blocks. McCartney added five kills, five digs, two aces and two blocks. In last Saturday’s 3-0 loss to No. 16 Johns Hopkins, McCartney had eight digs while Foster added three kills, five digs and two blocks. In the Bears’ 3-0 non-conference sweep of Penn State Abington, Foster had 10 kills while McCartney had 10 digs and seven kills.
Junior Bridget Terrel (Central Bucks East) had eight digs off the bench in Shippensburg’s 3-0 sweep of Goldey Beacom on Tuesday.
Junior Cori Watson (Souderton) paced the Nittany Lions with 11 assists and five kills in Penn State Abington’s 3-0 loss to Ursinus College last Friday.
Junior Jaime Bonner (William Tennent) connected on 12 kills in Holy Family’s 3-1 win over Chestnut Hill on Saturday. With the win, the Tigers clinched a spot in the CACC tournament for the fifth straight year. In Wednesday’s 3-0 win over the University of the Sciences, Bonner had nine kills. In last Saturday’s 3-0 win over Bloomfield College, Bonner had eight kills.
Cait Saalfrank (Pennridge) notched her sixth match of the season with 20 or more digs, finishing with 21 digs in Gwynedd Mercy’s 3-0 loss to Immaculata on Wednesday. In the Griffins’ 3-0 loss at Cabrini, Saalfrank had a match-high 18 digs. Cassie McCarney (William Tennent) had three kills. In Gwynedd’s 3-0 loss to Marywood, Saalfrank racked up a match-high 13 digs. It was her 23rd match this season in double-digit digs. In the Griffins’ 3-0 loss to Notre Dame of Maryland, Saalfrank racked up 18 digs.
Holly Owen (Hatboro-Horsham) had eight kills and three block assists in Kutztown’s 3-1 loss to Mercyhurst on Saturday.
Senior Lydia Redman (Council Rock North) had a career-high 17 digs in East Stroudsburg’s 3-2 loss to Mercyhurst on Friday.
