IUP senior Tim Lynch (Souderton) finished 23rd overall with a time of 25:33.6 at the 2014 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Mansfield University. Austin Cooper (Upper Merion) finished in 34th place with a time of 25:59.4.
Shippensburg freshman Alex Balla (Quakertown) finished in 30th place with a time of 25:50.3 at the 2014 PSAC Championships at Mansfield on Saturday. The Red Raiders finished second as a team.
Bloomsburg’s James Wilson (Central Bucks South) finished sixth for the Huskies at the 2014 PSAC Championships on Saturday at Mansfield, posting a time of 28:45.
WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Penn State’s Tori Gerlach (Pennridge) finished 39th with a time of 21:08.5 at the 2014 Big Ten Cross Country Championships last Sunday at the Ashton Cross Country Course in Iowa City, Iowa. The young Nittany Lions finished seventh.
Shippensburg redshirt freshman Sarah Latch (Central Bucks East) finished in 35th place with a time of 23:08.8 at the 2014 PSAC Championships on Saturday at Mansfield. Shippensburg finished third as a team.
Bloomsburg senior Kate Dodds (Upper Dublin) finished fourth overall at the 2014 PSAC Championships at Mansfield University on Saturday. She earned first team All-PSAC honors, finishing in a time of 21:32. Sophomore Keelan McDonald (Central Bucks West) was the Huskies fifth runner in 34th place with a time of 23:07.
Kutztown’s Olivia Dettore (Central Bucks West) posted a time of 23:27.3 and finished 53rd at the 2014 PSAC Championships hosted by Mansfield University on Saturday. Teammates Carolyn Fergus (North Penn) and Elizabeth McLaughlin (Upper Dublin) posted times of 24:14.7 and 24:25.4, respectively.
FIELD HOCKEY
American University freshman midfielder/defender Angela Virtu (Wissahickon) was named the Patriot League’s Rookie of the Year. The Wissahickon grad started all 17 games as a freshman and was a critical part of a defensive unit that posted eight shutouts. She also earned primary roles in the team’s attack and defensive corner units and helped provide the Eagles with stability on the outlet while playing solid individual defense both in space and in the circle. Virtu also scored one goal for the season. She is American’s sixth Patriot League Rookie of the Year and the first since 2012. Virtu also earned second team All-Patriot League recognition.
Stanford junior Lauren Becker (Wissahickon) received second team All-NorPac recognition. She started all 20 games for the Cardinals and scored nine goals. Stanford, ranked No. 4, saw its 12-game winning streak snapped when the Cardinals were upset by Liberty 1-0 in the opening round of the NorPac Tournament. The team’s 18 wins are a program best mark for wins. In Friday’s 2-1 win over UC Davis, Becker connected for her ninth goal of the season.
Neumann University senior Katie Bauer (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) first team. The PW grad started all 19 games this season. She is a staple in the defensive zone and helped lead the team to five shutout wins this season. She also notched one defensive save and was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
Providence freshman forward Megan Hamilton (Central Bucks South) was named to the All-BIG EAST second team. The CB South grad led the Friars in scoring with 36 points on 15 goals and six assists. Based on available records dating back to the 1987 campaign (spanning the last 28 seasons), Hamilton’s 36 points are the most recorded by a rookie at Providence College. She leads Providence with five multi-goal games and also has scored two game-winning goals. Hamilton scored her first collegiate goal against 13th-ranked Boston College on Sept. 5.
Lehigh sophomore Gabby Tofig (Council Rock North) received second team All-Patriot League honors. The Rock North grad led the Mountain Hawks’ offense this season, tallying 17 points behind eight goals and one assist. After scoring against Monmouth, Tofig tallied a career-high two goals against Towson, which helped propel Lehigh to four wins in five games. She scored at least one goal in each of the victories, including two goals against Sacred Heart. Tofig earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors after that weekend, which also included a goal in the league win over Holy Cross. She scored just over one minute into the game at Lafayette and tallied an assist in the season finale against La Salle.
Messiah senior Becky Ely (Council Rock North) was named to the All-Commonwealth Conference first team. A defender, the Rock North grad was recognized for her strong play on both sides of the ball. She had four goals and five assists this season, but her impact on the game was often outside the stat sheet. This is the third consecutive year Ely has earned first team all-conference honors.
St. Joseph’s freshman Melissa Herd (Pennridge) was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team. She was one of just four field players – and only freshman – to start all 18 games for St. Joe’s this season, tallying three goals and an assist for seven points. She ranked fourth on the team in both goals and points, leading all newcomers in those categories. The Pennridge grad was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week on Sept. 2 and Oct. 13. Herd scored her third goal of the season in St. Joseph’s 3-1 win over Brown last Sunday.
Sophomore goalie Kelly Schlupp (Council Rock South) was credited with three saves to earn her 19th win over the season in The College of New Jersey’s 3-2 overtime win over Rowan. Included in those three saves was a sprawling save on a charge by Rowan’s Johanna James early in OT. With the win, TCNJ claimed the 2014 New Jersey Athletic Conference title and also earned an automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division III Tournament, marking the 31st time the Lions have qualified for the national tournament. In Wednesday’s 5-1 win over Kean, Schlupp was credited with one saves.
Villanova junior Kayla Kenney (Central Bucks South) was named to the All-BIG EAST first team. She is the first Wildcat to be named to the first team since 2008. The junior forward was one of five ‘Cats on the 2014 team with a double-digit point total. Kenney ranked tied for first on the squad with 12 points on four goals and four assists. Her four assists also placed her at the top among Villanova players while her four goals were tied for second. She also led the team with 26 shots on goal. To date, Kenney has 35 career points in 53 games with nine goals and 17 assists. She has attempted 83 shots across three years with 60 on target.
Temple freshman Rachael Mueller (William Tennent) has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll after an impressive performance against UConn on Nov. 1. No. 16 Temple ultimately lost to the No. 4 Huskies 4-3, but Mueller scored twice in the contest against the defending BIG EAST and NCAA champs. Scoring the second and third goals of the game in a three-minute span late in the first half, Mueller at one point gave the Owls a 3-1 lead. The goals were her fourth and fifth of the 2014 season. She scored on her only two shots of the game, getting two past UConn keeper Nina Klein, who entered the game averaging a league best 1.05 goals against average.
Widener sophomore defender Dana Adamson (Central Bucks South) received All-Commonwealth Conference honorable mention recognition. The CB South grad had a huge breakthrough season last year and parlayed that into another strong campaign in which she was a valuable player on defense. She ended this year with a defensive save versus Immaculata and a goal against nationally ranked Lebanon Valley. A member of this year’s MAC Academic Honor Roll, Adamson has started all 34 contests for the squad over the last two seasons and now has five defensive saves for her career.
Gwynedd Mercy freshman Madison Reiss (Pennridge) was named to the All-Colonial States Athletic Conference first team. The freshman started all 18 games for a defense that boasted a 1.42 goals against average while compiling a 6-1 conference record.
Gwynedd Mercy junior Katie O’Neill (Council Rock North) landed a spot on the All-Colonial States Athletic Conference first team after earning second team recognition last year. The Rock North grad had eight goals and seven assists for 23 points.
O’Neill scored a goal and teammate Abigail Gabriel (Souderton) contributed an assist in Gwynedd Mercy’s 5-1 win over Cabrini on Saturday in the Colonial States Athletic Conference championship game on Saturday. It is the fourth consecutive title for the Griffins.
La Salle senior Colleen Kempf (Central Bucks South) received Atlantic 10 All-Conference second team honors. The CB South grad scored a career-best seven goals this season to earn her first all-conference recognition. She was the squad’s leading scorer in A-10 play, collecting seven points against league opponents. She scored two game-winning goals, including the overtime game winner in the Explorers’ overtime comeback win at Saint Louis and in the Senior Day win over Bryant. Kempf concluded her La Salle career with 36 points on 15 goals and six assists. The two-time NFHCA Academic Squad member also picked up Academic All-Conference recognition for holding a 3.80 GPA in the five-year speech pathology program.
Alayna Brown (Souderton) knocked home a rebound in the 12th minute to help propel top-ranked West Chester to a 3-0 win over ninth-ranked Mercyhurst on Wednesday.
FOOTBALL
Jack Abercrombie (Hatboro-Horsham) is the center for the California (Pa.) offense that is averaging just over 430 yards and almost 30 points a game. In Saturday’s 59-49 loss to Mercyhurst, Abercrombie faced his brother, Benji Abercrombie, a member of Mercyhurst’s defensive line. Benji is a graduate of Archbishop Wood.
Lycoming senior Craig Needhammer (North Penn) was named the USA College Football National Offensive Player of the Week after becoming the first player in school history to post more than 300 all-purpose yards in a game against Misericordia. The North Penn grad accumulated 304 all-purpose yards against the Cougars, notching a career-high 239 yards rushing, three yards receiving and 62 yards on kick returns to lead the team in a 28-14 win over Misericordia University. The 239 yards rushing are the third highest total in school history, behind only two performances from Tim Deasey in 2001. Along the way, the First Team USA College Football Preseason All-American moved within 285 yards of the school’s all-time rushing record of 3,665 yards set by Josh Kleingelter (2007-10), and the 200-yard performance helped him tie Brian Thompson’s school record of 15 100-yard rushing games set from 1995-98. Needhammer also scored his 10th rushing touchdown of the season, becoming just the third player in program history to notch 10 rushing touchdowns in back-to-back seasons.
Adding to his growing list of accolades, Needhammer became the third player in the Lycoming College football program’s history to earn Capital One Academic All-District honors twice in a career as the physics major was named to the District 4 team by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Nov. 7. He is one of just three players in school history to earn the award in back-to-back years, and he is now eligible to earn Capital One Academic All-American honors, which will be announced on Dec. 3. Needhammer holds the school’s career rushing touchdowns (36), total touchdowns (39), points scored (234) and all-purpose yards (4,828) records. A 2013 D3football.com All-East Region selection and first team All-MAC selection, he is third in the MAC in rushing (114.8) and first in all-purpose yards (176.3). He is also a two-time member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll.
In Lycoming’s 30-29 overtime win over Lebanon Valley, Needhamer finished with 124 all-purposes yards (34 rushing, 12 receiving, 78 kick returns) as Lebanon Valley held the Warriors to 82 yards on 32 carries.
Sophomore running back Corey Kelly (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had a one-yard touchdown run in Ursinus College’s 41-27 loss to Muhlenberg on Saturday.
Junior Sheldon Mayer (Norristown), battling through an injury all game long, caught nine passes for 83 yards and a touchdown in Shippensburg’s 37-32 win over Kutztown on Saturday. Senior linebacker James Brennan (Upper Merion) led the Red Raiders with nine tackles, including 1.5 for loss. He also recovered a fumble on a sack by a fellow senior.
DJ McFadden (Abington) had a pair of touchdown receptions – the first for 39 yards and the second for 19 yards – in No. 5 Bloomsburg’s 40-3 win at Lock Haven on Saturday. McFadden caught five passes for 81 yards.
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Bruce Campbell (Pennsbury) threw three touchdown passes in his second career start, and East Stroudsburg cut a 21-point deficit to four entering the fourth quarter, but No. 18 West Chester held on for a 35-24 win on Saturday. Campbell threw for 266 yards.
Freshman kicker Alec Rosenfeld (Bensalem) drove home a season-long 46-yard field goal in Kutztown’s 37-32 loss to Shippensburg on Saturday. Jalen Nieves (Bensalem) had an interception.
Brandon Pepper (Pennsbury) intercepted a pass at the Golden Rams’ four-yard line with six minutes remaining to help preserve the win in No. 18 West Chester’s 35-24 win over East Stroudsburg on Saturday. Wide receiver Mike Doty (Central Bucks South) caught four passes for 72 yards and one touchdown.
Evan Stahl (Central Bucks South) booted field goals on each of his team’s first two offensive possessions to give Millersville a 6-0 lead in the Marauders’ 34-12 win over Cheyney on Saturday. Myron Miles (Wissahickon) rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown.
Juniata quarterback Ward Udinski (Central Bucks West) was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) for the week ending Nov. 2. Udinski passed for a career-high 469 yards and five touchdowns and added 90 yards rushing and two touchdowns as the Eagles defeated McDaniel 56-31. He is the first Juniata quarterback to throw for over 400 yards since 2005. His five touchdown throws are also a career high and the first for Juniata since 2001. In addition, Udinski became the program’s all-time passer as he eclipsed Jay Leonard’s career mark of 7,610.
MEN’S GOLF
Temple senior Matt Teesdale (Hatboro-Horsham) tied for 73rd (79-78-75, 234) at the Wendy’s Kiawah Classic that concluded on Tuesday at Turtle Point Golf Course in Charleston, S.C.
MEN’S SOCCER
Rosemont College senior forward Luke McIlvaine (Neshaminy) was voted the 2014 CSAC Player of the Year. McIlvaine scored 12 goals and assisted on four others for the Ravens, who finished 5-13 overall and 4-5 in the conference, securing the sixth and final playoff spot in the 2014 CSAC tournament. A four-time all-conference performer, McIlvaine started 16 of the 17 games he played and had a hand in 16 of his squad’s 23 goals on the year. He finished the regular season tied for third in the league in total points (28) and goals (12) and was tied for sixth in assists (4). McIlvaine netted a pair of goals in victories over Immaculata University and Keystone College, including the game winner in both contests. His best game of the year came on Oct. 4 when he recorded a hat trick in a 4-3 win over Marywood University.
Marywood freshman Dylan McMahon (North Penn) received Colonial States Athletic Conference honorable mention recognition. The North Penn grad enjoyed a breakout season, using his speed to his advantage over opposing defenses. Three of McMahon’s six goals came during conference play – all tallied during a three-game stretch late in the season. He added an additional four assists for 16 points on the year. McMahon was honored as CSAC Player of the Week and ECAC South Region Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 26.
Cabrini sophomore Ryan New (Hatboro-Horsham) earned All-Colonial States Athletic Conference honorable mention recognition. The Hatboro grad recorded five points on the season, his lone goal coming as an overtime game winner in a 1-0 victory at Immaculata. The sophomore also tallied three assists in the final three matches of the season.
Eastern sophomore Nate Roberts (Upper Moreland) received All-Freedom Conference honorable mention recognition. Eastern advanced to the conference championship where the Eagles fell to King’s College 2-1.
Sophomore Matt Robinson (North Penn) scored the game-winning goal with 11 seconds left in the first half of La Salle’s 1-0 win over Dayton on Friday, burying a free kick inside the left post for the game’s only score. The goal was Robinson’s fourth of the season and the third game winner in 2014.
Gwynedd Mercy senior Ryan Roedel (Neshaminy) repeated as a first team All-Colonial States Athletic Conference selection. The senior defender appeared in 17 games with three goals. His penalty kick goal against Rosemont was the difference in the 2-1 win on Oct. 18
Gwynedd Mercy senior Zac Clifford (Central Bucks East) was named to the 2014 All-Sportsmanship Team.
Mike Bamford (Central Bucks West) broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the 86th minute in Bloomsburg’s 1-0 win over Seton Hill in Friday’s PSAC semifinal. Bloomsburg fell to Mercyhurst 5-0 in Saturday’s title game.
Christian Benner (Souderton) contributed an assist on the Golden Rams only goal in West Chester’s 2-1 loss to Mercyhurst on Friday in a PSAC semifinal contest. In Tuesday’s 3-0 quarterfinal win over Slippery Rock, sophomore Brian Schaefer (Upper Dublin) and Alex Lean (Council Rock North) each scored a goal.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Cedarville sophomore midfielder Grace Miorelli (Souderton) earned first team All-G-MAC honors. The Souderton grad leads the team in scoring and is third in the league. She’s totaled 10 goals and seven assists for 27 points.
Holy Family senior midfielder Kimber Kisselback (Neshaminy) was named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) first team. It is the senior’s first All-CACC honors as she put together a career season in her fourth year with the team. She set new career highs in a number of categories this season, including goals (8), points (21), shots (74), shots-on-goal (37) and game-winning scores (5).
La Salle freshman Paige McDowell (Council Rock South) was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference first team. The CR South grad was named a Primetime Performer by CollegeSoccer360 earlier this season and started every game as a fixture on La Salle’s back line. McDowell also earned a spot on the All-Rookie team.
West Chester senior Carly Yost (North Penn) earned first team All-PSAC recognition. The North Penn grad leads the Golden Rams in scoring this fall with seven goals and 20 points in 18 games. She has added six assists and three game-winning goals to her all-league resume. Yost has registered a point in five of the Rams’ last seven games. She was a second team All-PSAC pick in 2013.
West Chester senior Cara Deola (Council Rock South) was named the PSAC Women’s Soccer Champion Scholar on Friday prior to West Chester’s semifinal games against Kutztown in the PSAC Women’s Soccer Championship tournament. The PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA’s Elite 89 award and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC’s 23-team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 89 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 89 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II and III. Deola is working towards a degree in Special Education/Early Grades Prep and currently holds a cumulative GPA of 4.0
Deola assisted on both goals in No. 15 West Chester’s 4-2 loss to No. 19 Kutztown in the PSAC semifinals on Friday. In Tuesday’s 3-0 shutout to Gannon in a quarterfinal match, Haley Mangiaruga (North Penn) contributed a goal while Yost and Deola both had assists. Carly Henry (Pennridge) was part of a back line that bottled up Gannon’s leading scorer and the second-leading scorer in the PSAC, Mani Brueckner.
Sophomore goalkeeper Megan Gerhart (North Penn) had five saves in Virginia Wesleyan’s 1-0 overtime loss to No. 2 Lynchburg on Wednesday. Lynchburg entered Wednesday’s ODAC semifinal game ranked as the third highest scoring team in Division III. The top-seeded Hornets, ranked No. 2 among the nation’s top 20 teams, produced 26 shots against fourth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan College but could not find the net in regulation time.
Megan Murphy (William Tennent) scored a pair of goals and Mallory Mugnier (Abington) added a single goal while Ashlee Kohn (Bensalem) and Kayla Nolan (Abington) both contributed an assist in No. 2 seeded Abington’s 6-0 win over No. 6 Cazenovia in the NEAC semifinal game on Saturday. In Sunday’s 3-1 loss to Penn State Berks in the NEAC championship game, Mugnier connected on a penalty kick.
Kaceyanne Cerankowski (Neshaminy) delivered a cross that set up the game-winning goal in Elizabethtown’s 1-0 overtime win over Scranton in Wednesday’s Landmark Conference semifinal.
MEN’S SWIMMING
Tim Ware (Central Bucks South) registered second place finishes in the 100 and 200 backstroke events in Delaware’s dual meet against Rider and La Salle on Saturday. In last weekend’s CAA Pod Meet against UNCW, James Madison and William and Mary, he was part of Delaware’s second place 400 medley relay. He finished in third place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 50.66, which was his best time of the season in the event.
Senior Ashton Leyens (Upper Dublin) took second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.16 in Gettysburg’s 135-126 Centennial Conference victory at Washington College on Saturday. Leyens added a victory in the 200 freestyle, finishing in 1:46.19.
Rick Sutton (Hatboro-Horsham) posted a pair of second place finishes in Albright’s 111-92 loss to Ursinus on Wednesday. His second place time in the 1000 freestyle was 10:20.83, and he posted a time of 55.72 in his second place finish in the 100 backstroke. Teammate Tim Resch (Springfield) was fifth in the 100 freestyle (54.60) and sixth in the 50 free (24.15).
WOMEN’S SWIMMING
Kristina Congdon (Pennsbury) won the 3-meter diving competition with a score of 287.05 in the University of Delaware’s sweep of Rider (244-53) and La Salle (206-93) in Saturday’s dual meet.
Abby Miller (Neshaminy) was part of Lock Haven’s first place 400 freestyle relay that posted a time of 3:48.42 in the Eagles 110-94 loss to Millersville on Saturday.
Junior Sam Evangelista (Central Bucks South) finished second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:21.74 in Gettysburg’s 164-98 Centennial Conference win at Washington College Saturday.
Bridget Perdoch (Pennsbury) captured first in the 500 freestyle (5:42.56) and second in the 100 breast in Kutztown’s 132-110 loss to LIU Post on Saturday. Aimee Watkins (Hatboro-Horsham) finished third in the 500 free (6:03.27) and sixth in the 200 free (2:18.55). Caitlyn Falguera (Hatboro-Horsham) was fourth in the 200 back (2:25.27) and fifth in the 100 back (2:18.55). In Friday’s 107-97 loss to California (Pa.), Perdoch was third in the 200 breast (2:41.59) and fifth in the 200 free (2:10.24). Watkins was third in the 1000 free (11:57.33) and sixth in the 500 free (5:58.15). Falguera was fifth in the 200 back (2:25.80).
Sophomore Emily Houser (Upper Dublin) anchored the second place medley relay and swam the lead leg of the winning free relay (3:47.13) in Dickinson’s 150-112 win over Scranton last Sunday. She also won the 100 freestyle (56.70) and was second in the 50 with a 26.18.
Alex Wheatley (Upper Dublin) captured first place in the 100 back with a time of 1:00.84 in Bloomsburg’s 148-114 win over Edinboro on Saturday. In Friday’s 139-123 win over Gannon, Wheatley took first in both the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke and was part of the winning 200 medley relay. In the 100 back, Wheatley posted a time of 59.86, the seventh fastest time in school history and then came back with a time of 2:11.90 in the 200 back. The 200 medley posted a time of 1:51.06.
Sophomore Jess Wimmer (Souderton) was part of the winning 200 medley relay that posted a time of 2:01.57 in Lycoming’s double-dual meet with Stevenson and Wilkes on Saturday.
Kate Dillione (Council Rock North) earned a victory in the 200 freestyle in Brown’s 136-107 win over Northeastern on Friday. In Saturday’s 151-149 triumph over UMass, Dillione captured first place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:49.97. She also was part of the winning 400 free relay.
Taylor Mateja (Upper Merion) was part of the first place 200 medley relay that posted a time of 1:56.98 in Franklin & Marshall’s 127-64 win over Bryn Mawr on Friday night. In Saturday’s 127-78 win over Swarthmore, Mateja finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.59.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Freshman Cecelia Weir (William Tennent) had a match-high four aces in Holy Family’s 3-2 loss to Post on Saturday. Freshman Melanie Ingram (Upper Merion) had a match-high 16 kills to lead the attack while senior
setter Devyn Ingram (Upper Merion) totaled a team-high 41 assists. In Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Chestnut Hill, Devyn Ingram filled the stat sheet with a match-high 41 set assists, 16 digs and four block assists. Melanie Ingram had eight kills and 17 digs while Weir recorded a season-high 15 kills to go along with three service aces. In Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to Wilmington, Melanie Ingram had 13 kills and 14 digs while Devyn Ingram had 47 assists. It was the fifth time this season she has recorded 40 or more assists.
Junior Cassidy Koenig (Upper Merion) tallied 40 assists and nine digs in Cabrini’s 3-1 win over Neumann on Saturday. In Thursday’s 3-0 win over Immaculata, Koenig had 31 assists and six digs.
Franklin & Marshall senior Julie Harvey (Hatboro-Horsham) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 2. She also was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week. The senior outside hitter led the Diplomats to a 3-0 week, clinching a playoff spot in the process. In a key win over Gettysburg, Harvey recorded 12 kills without making an error in 27 swings while hitting .444 percent with three blocks and six digs. In a win over Dickinson, Harvey notched 12 kills and no errors, while hitting .667 percent. In the final match of the regular season against Cabrini, Harvey had 17 kills and a .680 hitting percentage. For the week, she totaled 41 kills without recording a single error.
Devon Maugle (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had 11 kills and 12 digs in UConn’s 3-1 loss to UCF on Friday night.
Junior Audrey Stringer (Pennsbury) had 11 kills and a game-high five blocks in Kutztown’s 3-0 sweep of Cheyney on Saturday. In Friday’s 3-2 loss to West Chester, Stringer threw down 13 kills and finished with a .455 hitting percentage.

Matt Martoccio (Council Rock South) earned a major decision (11-3) at 157 in Kutztown’s 40-9 win over Alderson –Broaddus last Sunday.
